I could see Thurman vs Canelo being boring if Keith didn't engage, but I'd favor Canelo via decision.
I actually think Canelo would've KO's Spence just due to size advantage and styles. Spence is a very come forward fighter and Canelo is an excellent counter puncher
Do you believe Abel Sanchz or LLL or Tom Loeffler?
These guys are full of **** also.
I do believe certain guys: Spence, Crawford, Loma all seem to be straight shooters and I don't question their honesty...for now
I don't believe anyone in the boxing business, if I'm being honest.
second fight was very even. I had to PVR it because I worked, and I remember I had to rewind when Kov got dropped because it just seemed to come out of nowhere. I thought i had missed something in a really even fight. I also expected him to get up too though lol
Same here. But that being said, say what you will about Ward in terms of his punching power, when he has a fighter hurt he's an excellent finisher.
Why does the month make the difference? Is it an age thing? Judges?
Yet trying to understand the reasoning.
One of the key things I noticed in the first fight was that GGG struggled even when he had Canelo backed against the ropes. He struggled to land clean shots there and Canelo seemed to be able to force GGG to back off when he threw his own shots. Canelo's speed and power with his counters seemed to stop GGG targetting the body much which imo he needs to do to stop Canelo.
Who else is rolling with the Nelo?
Age thing for me. Because one of two things will happen if the fight is made for September: GGG will sit out the whole year and wait for the fight, or he'll take a fight in between that will add more wear and tear on his body.
They should've just had the exact same splits and agreement as the first fight, tbh. After a draw, just run it right back. I wonder what the hold up is.
IMO, it would play out like the Judah fight. Khan will have flashy sucess early and get walked down and timed to a non competitive decision or KO.
That's a possibility for sure
I was always intrigued with a Khan vs Mayweather fight, but Khan decided to sit back and hope Floyd picked him rather than going out there and earning it.
I hear you, which is why I find it funny that Pacquiao is viewed as a known steroid cheat when we actually don't really know since there hasn't been a failed test. I don't mind "he probably was on roids" vs "he was on roids"
Oh for sure. It's accepted as fact. I just refuse to do that to any fighter. We don't know until we know
The second fight was definitely re-written as a "beat down", but I had it either even or Kov up 1 entering the round of the stoppage. They fought each other dead even from about round 5 of fight 1 until round 7 of fight 2.
Ehhhh Khan kinda deservedd it during that Alexander debacle (sitting out for a year). But it's not Khan's fault Maidana did really well in that first fight and earned himself the rematch.
You can't really say Floyd strait ducked Khan.... but he damn sure wasn't eager to fight him either.
I definitely don't classify it as a duck. Khan could've done more to really earn that fight. But you're right, Floyd wasn't jumping at the bits to make it happen either.
How is it a duck , when you face Canelo in a rematch, Then BJS if you win.? You also have a 3rd Canelo fight possible and Jacobs part 2. Charlo better make some fights with Jacobs, others.
People just loosely throw out the word "ducking"
I'm not. There are no fights against top 10 WW's that Rios would be competitive with at this point. There are still some good matchups for Garcia moving forward, so I'll take a W for him and hopefully a top 5 guy in the summer/fall.
