I wouldn't be shocked if Wlad were to get considered for #1 before he retires.
I would be. I'd fall of my chair and im a short ass, that fall would be long and painful.
hope this isnt already here.....
HBO will air Calzaghe vs Kessler
Notebook

• The deal between HBO and promoters of the Joe Calzaghe-Mikkel Kessler fight sets the date and location for the bout as Nov. 3 in Cardiff, Wales, and the network plans to air the fight live at 5 p.m. ET with a prime-time replay. However, HBO still has the option to change its mind and, for a steeper license fee, push the fight into the Cardiff wee hours in order to air the fight live in a more desirable prime-time slot on the U.S. East Coast.
I hope the powers that be tell HBO to fuck off with that shit. have the fight at 2am in Europe, just to please North American TV companies?
Malignaggi gets his ass handed to him by all the top Welterweights, however, Zab no longer fits in that bracket but should still have too much speed and agility. Plus there's no chance of Zab getting a beat down from Paulie, so he'll go all out.
Hatton vs Rees,
NO CHANCE, (WARREN BETTER NOT PUSH THIS FIGHT)
He'll pitch it, when Hatton refuses to even consider it, he'll claim the Hitman is ducking Rees.
Gavin Rees, yes, Gavin Rees, is outboxing, outworking, out-hustling M'Baye and is about to take his WBA Light-Welterweight world title on points, barring a godawful, scandalous, outrage-from-high-heaven robbery. Fair shout to the little blighter, but bejeezus doesn't this make a mockery of the sport, watching this. Rees' pitter-patter shoeshining against M'Baye's glockenspiel ribs is going to make him a world champion. What does M'Baye offer in return? Some posturing, the occasional solid right hand, frustrating evasiveness and a reluctance to throw...and that's it.
I just can't wait to see Macarinelli, who I know will throw some hurtin' bombs and at least contest his belt. How the hell did M'Baye win a world title? I has he just completely changed overnight?
The best part is Warren claimed Hatton ducked M'baye
lol

Whats wrong with this picture??
He should be first?
It's not a good thing for Wlad to fight aging former contenders who are well past their best, it won't make his record look good and the result will be a foregone conclusion. having said that, it's always entertaining to see Rahman get KO'd.
hahaha... the biased people on here make me laugh...
There is no reason for people to be disgusted with Hatton for what he said in this article. So when posters are attacking DLT, then it's not a nationalistic thing, but more common sense.
Well said. Dawson is the only fight even worth discussing.
Welter I love you but if you say Froch you might as well pick David Haye to beat Wlad Klitschko.
Not until next fall, at the earliest.
The only question in this bout is whether the fight finishes with Hatton on his face, ass, or back...
On his back, celebrating by winning by TKO, after Roger Mayweather pulls out his charge, Hatton's team then pick him up of the floor to celebrate his finest achievement.
Why? Cos a prospect (at this moment he is nothing more) got knocked down and then came off the canvas to win in fairly rampant style (broken jaw, possibly broken nose and a lot of bleeding inside of the mouth). And two shit heavyweights who are quite widely accepted as being at domestic level only, put on a shit fight?
So Warren knew beforehand that his man would get knocked down and almost out by a light-punching non-aggressive fighter before getting up and landing some strong fight-ending punches?
The Lightweight fight was still entertaining, removing the circumstances. The HW fight was the worst ive ever seen.
oh please.,,,,a blown up cruiserweight beating a giant heavyweight thats on top of his game. keep dreaming. haye would get knocked out
Holyfield/Bowe? Not such a dream.
just like wlad with brew and purrity. sanders is the only guy that truley knocked him out and wlad is a much more complete fighter today
That's the sort of experience that comes with inexperience, I doubt both fighters would allow that situation to arise again and it can only help them.
everybody knows that ricky hugAton loss to collazo and gayweather loss to castillo.lol!mayweather and hatton are overrated!:haha: :haha:
Tell that to the judge
Get a title at welter, move to middle, and get one, and then to supermiddle and get one??
RJJ is 5'11"..and a reach of 74...Toney is 5'10" and a reach of 72, and they both moved up...Williams is 6'1", and a reach of 84.....Do you think he can clean house at 3 weight divisions??
He SHOULD move to Middleweight cause he'd have NO problems at all making that weight and his size advantages make all other welter's sick. Will he be successful though? He didn't seem to have much pop to his punches and going up two weight divisions would surely exacerbate that frailty. Still, his sheer volume of punching is impressive for any weight.
I missed 'Sawdust and TInsel' on BBC4 to watch the Khan fight, it was worth it, but that HW 'fight' was one for the ages. When $in calls British boxing a joke, you can see he has a point, to some extent anyway.
I can see why floyd is looking to fight hatton rather than the top dawgs at 147... it just like Cintron said, floyd picks his oppononts.. migth sound harsh, but its true...
Hatton's the biggest fight, money wise for Floyd, I think that's his sole motivation at this stage of his career.
I've seen him. He can't box for shit. Seriously. Don't make an ass of yourself.
Where as Maskaev is this generations Whitaker? Haye doesn't have to be a good technical boxer to be a top contender.
williams has a cool brawling style! if he was british thats what the brits would say.
In a country in which millions watch WWE, I thought Hatton's style would be lauded in the USA.
