Prime example of "you'll see what you want to see".
You think he's a legend (as I do), you'll know he's far to good and see there is no sense in faking an injury.
You think he loves to win (as I do), you'll consider he was after a quick DQ win.
You don't like him, think he's overated, think he would of lost - you'll see a man looking for a way out.
Either way Hopkins copped a lot of hate for that fight when Dawson was the dip **** who picked him up...
1. Pac, I think Floyd beats both but Pac's speed and aggression got a better of overwhelming Floyd.
2. Martinez, I think it's a real possibility at 154.
3. Not really, this is his first move up in a few years.
Won't happen ($ and risk), probably shouldn't happen, Punisher looked super **** v Lara. But I wouldn't mind seeing it, I still think he would test Mayweather (80" reach south paw).
No, I still think it would be a close fight, going to the cards with the edge for Mayweather who i see landing the bigger blows.
SMH at all the "now im even more sure Mayweather KO's pac"??? What from that fight suggests May could do that. Mayweather isn't a Knock out puncher yet he's going to KO the toughest guy in boxing?
Only observations from the fight were
- Mayweather no problems at 154
- He still looks sharp
- Still don't like when he's against the ropes
Williams luck ran out. he's taken risks like that his whole career, personally thats why i like him.
Dont feel sorry for him, needs to go back to basics.
I can see him comming back, first time KO'd, plenting of boxing ahead of him. I just hope he gets the opportunity.
edit: Forgot to say, props to Martinez for taking the opening, fight was even up till then.
looks fine to me, seems to shrug his shoulders a bit, no sign of pain.
I don't think a straight drop onto your shoulder would cause a muscle tear anyway, exspecialy for a fit 168lber, professional boxer, onto canvas...
he'll be avoided the same as always.
nothing got exposed from the fight against Sergio, anyone would of gone down from that hit, and everyone already knew he had **** defence and left himself open.
I cant see many willing to fight williams, even if they think they could beat him. he's too much of a wild card, Williams next fight will be more telling of where he's at. I expect him to come back very strong and put all this 'shot' 'bum' 'overated' 'retirement' **** to bed.
In my mind he does (definetly not <#5 though).
Partly due to the fact that Williams is avoided and doesn't duck opponents. Imagine if he had the fan base to pick and choose his fights like some other top P4Pers, his record would be very different.
P4P i put him somewhere 10-20.
Didn't those same guys win a jr Middle weight title and Martinez just moved up to Middle from Jr Middle 3 fights ago? I agree that he's bigger and stronger that's why he would win the fight but those guys claimed to be the jr Middleweight champs while fighting for really a paper title.
True but Pac weighed in at 144, his catchweight title was bull****, he tried to move up and realised he couldn't, the man shouldn't be expected to make that weight class now.
He would give away 20lbs fight night against Martinez. A Professional shouldn't be calling out fighters 2 weight classes below them.
martinz and pacquiao are both the most consistent fighters around today
we need more fightsers like that to lift the game
you never know roy might come out of retirement to fight him
this is his 3rd win in a row...
Bute is the **** but some people are making him out to be the second coming of Jesus. I would rather put my hopes and dreams on Kessler/Ward and Froch.
Fine Bute, Froch, Kesler, Ward, Abraham
The point is Sergio needs to stop talking **** about fighting welterweights. There are names at SMW if he wants them, thats what he expects Pacman to do.
"Wladimir Klitschko is the hardest puncher I have seen in the last 30 years." -- George Foreman
And Foreman was the hardest puncher in how many years? that went well for him?
Donaire far better wins.
Pavlik was a good win for Sergio, even if he was a touch overrated
PWill doesn't belong at MW (158 in this case), Sergio out weighed him by how much fight night?
Defeating montiel alone is greater than the above
Give me casual fans anyday.
I can't stand the casual fan who gains some knowledge then decides he is something special, 'I don't support this fight' like it's an insult to their great knowledge.
Apart from Berto who else (a name) was their to fight at WW? given Mayweather fell through.
People have such expectations for ever single fight, If it's not unification or someone stepping up in weight, whats the point in watching right?
