Prime Ali vs Prime Wlad

But could George Foreman dominate fighters for 12 rounds straight just with a jab, basic technical fundamentals and Moderate footwork? Don't worry, I'll answer. NO, he couldn't. I think Ali would have control Wlad,once again Wlad is to slow and very robotic..Foreman was dominate because of his power not his skill..He was another one who does not have good foot work Ali was right to call him a mummie(lol)..Wlad has a size advantage and uses it but he is fighting in a HW era that is very weak..It has nothing to due with the date,Lennox fought in the 90's their was better comp inthose days then there is now..Norton Holmes had better skill sets imo and Foreman is a better puncher then Wlad..Do you believe Wlad beats any of these fighters??

I dont see Wlad beating any of the past great champions. Maybe 2nd tier guys like Norton, Braddock, Spinks, Patterson, but all the elites take care of him. Ali wins TKO 11 Dempsey wins KO 5 Joe Louis wins KO 1 Foreman wins KO 3 Lennox wins KO2 Holyfield wins SD 12 Bowe wins TKO 8 Vitali wins TKO 10 All of the above are MULTI-DImensional fighters. Peter was Power and nothing else, Chambers was defense and nothing else. A fighter with multiple attributes beats Wlad. Like Sanders: Speed/Power/Experience.

i can only see this fight being super boring, no one could really land on anyone, i'd lean towards ali because he has more heart and faster hands/flashier combo's can sway the judges, either like that or ali by tko just because wlad tends to fold after being hurt or knocked down tough fight for both men

Would be interesting Wlad can't fight on this inside.. i honestly feel Tyson/Fraizer would knock him out bobing and weaving getting in close.. Not sure about Ali though wlad holds, pulls your head down w/e, he's twice as good at tieing up than ali, who when he learned is what helped him win over fraizer, now ali aint nowhere as good as wlad tieing up, and wlad's height would make it even easier for him to just pull fraziers head down with enough pressure that nothing would happen in the inside you cant beat wlad from the inside

Hard to say it al depends. Wlad is just so much bigger and stronger then Ali, And add speed to his arsenal and he would be very hard to beat, But if any can do it it would be Ali.

I hope you're just posting that to wind people up. If you seriously think there is any comparison between Carnera and Wlad, you know nothing about boxing. Carnera and Valuev, maybe. i think valuev might be lil better lol

A more competitive fight is prime lennox vs prime ali now that is a pick em imo. People need to realise that wlad hasn't been out-boxing (and to his credit dominating) good fighters. At this stage of his career I would compare his resume similar to joe calzaghe's before he unified. He has dominated very sub-par competition on the whole with a few solid/decent wins. You cannot justify anything in wladmir's case apart from that he is extremely professional has dominated the current level of heavyweights and is beyond the level he has been fighting at. The klitschko fans will have you fooled that these contenders are good fighters, but I think even relatively uneducated boxing fans can see the lack of competition. He has never faced a world class heavyweight.

I think some of you guys are thinking about 70's version of Ali, the color TV Ali, not the 60's Ali (black and white TV).

Ali tko mid rounds, very competitive though. Anyone that knows boxing knows ali could punch, his and srl power is severely underrated because people chose to focus on their razzle dazzle and other more eye catching attributes.

But yes I do think the speed difference between Ali and Wlad is comparible to Louis-Carnera. That's just ridiculous. Wlad has very fast hands, fast feet, good footwork, great balance (now), and he also has superb timing. Canera had none of those qualities. You still seem to be mixing Wlad up with Valuev.

Ali is 10x the boxer Wlad is. Wlad would have a very hard time tracking down Ali who would be peppering him with shots all night long Ali by easy UD. Wlad is one of the worst heavyweight champs ever and will never be considered up there among the greatest heavyweights.
