Does Paul Williams Still Belong in P4P List?

yeah,he belongs but around number 8 or 9...how many guys on the list are undefeated anyways?

To me he was #7 before the ko and hes still #7 now.

I love how boxing fans completely disown everything hes accomplished over 1 loss. yet keep bums on the p4p list who fight once or twice year and only hand picked opponents. Sorry, when you fight every style, and every opponent HBO asks you to, and lose to the #3 guy, you don't get knocked off the list for that. Williams competition the last few years is much more impressive than your favorite fighters. Yeah, you can nit pick about every guy's resume. But I can't think of too many fighters that are in the top of their divisions that have wins on their resume as good as Williams has. Sure Verno Phillips was old, but he was still a top 5 Junior Middleweight and Williams can't help the fact that Winky hasn't done shit since the night that Paul beat him.

I believe taking him off the list takes away from Martinez win. It looks like just another W Losing to someone in the top 5 does not take you off the list, it knocks you down a peg maybe. But IMO Paul still belongs in the top 10 for now atleast. There really s no more respect for the P4P rankings, it's all about who you like now. If P will had lost to someone below maybe 20, then I'd get him out of the top 10, but we'll see how he comes back. All these microwave newbooties don't know jack shyt

Name ten fighters you have ranked above Williams. A loss to Martinez shouldn't take him off the list neither does it propel a bnch of fighters above him because of his resume.; Yeah, I can't really think of a lot of fighters I'd have over him still to be honest with you. I don't rank the Klitchko brothers like a lot of other people do and having Donaire and Lopez on the list is a joke. Mosley shouldn't even be ahead of Williams. The funny thing is the guy in your sig is somebody that I don't think belonged at #3 P4P either like a lot of people had him. But to me, that's where Williams' place stops. I wouldn't have him ranked over Dawson after the way he got KOd even though I like Williams more than Chad. I think Andre Ward should be in there now even though the tournament isn't concluded yet, because I don't see how you can put guys like Donaire, Dawson, Williams, or Lopez over him. And I'm willing to do that even if I can't stand the fact he gets all those fights in Oakland.

If Williams beat Cintron unquestionably I could maybe see it. But no. Actually when you stop to think about it even though he did lose to Quintana, that same year was actually the most meaningful year in his career that he had along with beating Winky Wright in the first part of 2009. So I think that's why a lot of people had him at P4P #3 because he fought four times in 2009 and stayed active that year and a lot of other top fighters in their division fought only like one and two times a year. And you can't penalize him for winning a close fight even though I thought he lost against Martinez in actuality. So his place was actually warranted until he lost and I'm not a big Williams fan either.

Sergio kicked his ass TWICE but only got 1 W for it....how much more proof is needed to see that Paul does NOT belong in the top 10 p4p....he's a VERY mediocre fighter at best :boxing: I STILL can't believe some dudes was sayin' he would beat B.Hop a while ago....shame on yall for that!!! No,not anymore,the Cintron fight was a circus act & he was obliterated by Martinez,BUT he will be back & better than ever!!When U constanly fight the best,losses are expected,when ur a high profile fighter that gets matched well & only fight people U are supposed to dominate,u never have to worry about losses,it is what it is!!

He never belonged in the first place, plust there are more worthy people who should be in there (I'm talking about the Yahoo Sports Top 10), like Lucian Bute, Miguel Cotto, Fernando Montiel and even V. Klitschko.
