Come on you guys know how Bob Arum does his business. He matches his guys well and if they are a cash cow he will milk them until there dry. In the old days they would put these guys on the same show and let the fight build up. You do realize that those are some high ass expectations that nobody in boxing even comes close to acheiving. This is not even debatable Martinez is and should be #1P4P. Reasons below. Ducking- Mayweather my favorite fighter but everyone says he ducks. Pacquaio ducks Yuri Foreman, Mosley, Berto, Soto, Guzman, Bradley and the rest of the good competition at 140. Look at his past five opponents only Marquez was a credible fight with no catch weights or guy coming off an impressive win. Martinez has continued to take on the best competition and look good against fighters that nobody else wanted to fight. Reason he was fighter of the year last year and will be again this year. After the win of Martinez, who should ranked higher in pound for pound ranking? I think Donaire coz his win against Montiel is more impressive than Martinez win over Dzinziruk .. To get straight to the point. Theres a reason Sergio was fighter of the year last year, because he fought the best competition and looked the best doing it. While Manny and Nonito were fighting bums or insignificat fights, Sergio has been forced to move up in weight and be dictated to whom he will fight. IMHO Sergio is the number 1 P4P fighter in the world. Not because I like him but because of his body of work.

Even if Margarito loades his gloves again Cotto will destroy him, especially now that Steward in his corner!! Cotto is in his prime and looked unbeatable against Mayorga!!! IF you know anything about boxing and watch PAC's fight. Normally guys who are tough and have a good beard cant take a shot that they cant see. Marquez hurt PAC with a hook he didnt see. He hit PAC with many straight rights but the hooks at the end of combinations had PAC ready to quit from Freddy Roach's mouth. Both have fast hands and could hurt each other but an effective Jab and counter check hook with a steady body attack should be easy work.

Whether you're a fan of him or not, you can't deny that his inactivity is hurting the sport. He's one of the best p4p boxer in our generation and for him to sit around not giving the boxing fans status on his career is straight up garbage. For whoever loses this fight, how will it effect their run for supremacy in their respected divisions in your opinion? How will it effect your opinion on the fighter? I wasn't really into this fight when it was first announced, but now it's sort of intriguing. In my opinion, the winner takes a small step forward, the loser takes a big step backwards. Sort of a do or die fight. Only in todays boxing does a loss mean you fall to obscruity. Back in the 30's, 40's and 50's when fighters fought every few weeks and challenged the toughest competition available. A loss against a respectable opponent only meant a rematch might be available and your reputation would be enhanced if you came out and fought the guy again. There was ducking back then e.g. Charley Burley and such but mostly guys fought each other and put on an entertaining show. Back then P4P would've been changing every two week. I dont see Ortiz winning this fight because of speed and sharp punching. Where does the winner go from here. Berto could get Pac if floyd isnt available and Marquez does'nt sign with TOP RANK. Ortiz has to go and fight the winner of the Khan and Bradley match. This fight is ok but Berto is still fighting a JWW when he started his career at LMW. Berto is protected and its his own fault that hes not on the P4P list, but if your making a million dollars a fight and your fighting bums then why change for a more challenging fight and make a few more pennies. Roger Mayweather gave Vernon mad props but mentally I wasnt impressed after what Mayagora was able to do to him and Mora also. He had some advantages but no more than what N'DOU had or Corrales had. Mayweather wants as much money on the table so he can push back on Pac again about the tests....without the tests i dont belive Floyd thinks he can beat Pacman so this fight wont happen unless Floyd feels he has the advantages....and its pretty clear he doesnt feel he has advantages or he wouldnt be carrying on like he is... so NO i dont think the fight will happen unless Pac says yes to the tests. Khan has all the advantages speed, height and reach. I see only one weakness and thats Khans chin and Zab will probably test it a couple of times. I kinda think Khan is getting strongerand filling into his body. I think he will be better at 147, but Zab to me really only has one chance. His defense did look alot better but his countering off of his opponents misses is lacking. Bradley also has a suspect chin but I think the youth of him and Khan plus the game activity will make Judah gas out near the sixth round. I really hope Pernell can work some majic but I truly doubt that Zab will change in the big fights. He lacks composure and an explosive, swell you up, cut you up Jab. Following the game plan and having a plan B is needed for when the going gets rough in the top tier of the 140 class.

Old habits are hard to break. I never saw Zab look this good defensively. I thought his jab was ok could've been better and he could've countered much more like Floyd once his oponent is off balance and has committed himself. He never looked tired to me but if hes going to play the thinking mans game, he has to be more active offensively. He gave too many rounds away and if he had just been poping that jab and keeping distance with those fast hands he has, should've been an easy night. If he really commits to that jab and makes it a thudding jab, that swells you up and cuts your face up. He could come back and become something really special. Im excited about Zab being back and I think if he fine tunes his offense. He could be the best 140 if matched correctly. I would'nt go directly to maidina but if the money is right. Zab has to fight.
