Just watched it again after a long time. Damn, what a great fight.
I would have loved to have seen the 135lb version of Floyd, a 135lb Shane Mosley and a 135lb Manny Pacquiao all fight each other :boxing:
Mayweather was very exciting back then. Round 5 has to be one of my all time favourite rounds. From 4:56 onwards
N'DOU record at the time of his retirement is 31-3. When he fought FLOYD HIS RECORD was 31-1 with 30 KO's so if thats a bum then I want some stock in that guy. You really are an hater to say that about guys whom put there life on the line. FANS today seem to forget about the heart and soul that these guys have to have to entertain us all the while putting there life on the line. To call these guys bums means you could do better and I would love to see you get in a ring for just thre rounds and then here your opinion of these bums. STFU if you dont know anything about boxing.
chavez jr must be the greatest fighter of all time to you. it's pathetic how gullible a lot of boxing fans are. now i know how ppv's sell so much. easy targets. a padded record and you think the guy is the real deal? a real boxing fan does some research they don't just look at someone's record to determine his status. if a guy has 32 pro fights and hasn't fought anyone that means they are probably being protected. when you look at ndou's record that is confirmed. please name me 2 guys he beat that you've heard of. oh wait you can't! every time he stepped up he lost. wow he crushed a lot of bums i guess that makes him king of the bums.
mayweather exciting? that's cause hes fighting a frickin bum. it's easy to throw down against a bum. that's like saying malignaggi is an exciting welterweight because he ko'd a bum in his last fight. watch mayweather's other 3 fights at 135 against decent opposition. dreadfully boring.

This was Pretty Boy Mayweather, now we have Money Mayweather. This was the first Mayweather fight that I saw on tv and immediately I became a huge fan. Then two weeks later I saw Barrera get abused by an upcoming fighter named Pacquiao and I became a huge fan of him. And now I'm sick and tired of both these a-holes and I hope they both get beaten to retirement by future superstars.
Not gonna happen unfortunately. Berto and Bradley don't have the juice and neither does anyone else at 140-147.
and ndou's ranking at 135? oh yea he wasn't ranked. maybe there were no good opponents at 135? oh wait stevie johnson, juan lazcano, paul spadafora. if he wanted to fight someone from 130 why not fight casamayor or freitas? oh well it's all the same to some people. casamayor and ndou are about equal.
No fighter fights the best fighters in every division they are in at every stage of their career....and it's not expected.

great post..i feel the exact same way
smh..ok man no use of talking to you
You're right larry....it's practically useless. After all this is the dick sukking homo who thinks SSM threw the fight against Mayweather........
that was the whole point! mayweather had looked dreadfully boring in his previous 3 fights so hbo matched him super soft so he would look impressive and more fans would watch him. this fight was not an accurate depiction of a floyd mayweather fight. it was false advertising. scummy thing to do to trick people like that. some people still to this day think it was a legit fight what the hell is wrong! imagine if you saw berto-hernandez. you would think wow this is a young exciting up and comer with devastating power. too bad that is not reality.
really ******? Cause i'm pretty sure he fought that aggressively vs Mosley, Hernandez, Chico, Manfredy, Judah, Gatti, Augustus and basically every 130 pounder he fought early in his career. Sure he's had some dud pure defensive fights, but i question whether you watch boxing at all.:poke:

Mayweather threw down against Corrales, Hernandez, Gatti, Hatton, Mosley , Judah.....guess they are all bums too........do you ever shut the fuk up??
they chose a completely unknown guy with a padded record to make floyd look good and draw more fans. you aren't supposed to actually get sucked in to the hype and think ndou was a legit challenge. i guess that kinda stuff does work on some people after all. 31-1 with 30 knockouts he must be good right? whatever you do don't look at his boxrec!

With the exception of his fight with Carlos Hernandez, I think all his fights are entertaining even the Baldomir fight. I like all styles even Andre Ward who a lot of people don't like.

He went up to 135 to fight Mayweather. After his next fight he collapsed in the locker room and retired.
phillip ndou could have been the next mike tyson?

I dont mean to put Mayweather down or anything, but a pretty record does not = a good fighter.
example: Tyrone Brunson. 19-0, 19KOs, all in the first round!!!
turns out he was a bum.
I have to remind that to Klitschko fans a lot too...
anyways, Ill leave it as a good performance by Mayweather.
man this fight isnt even a fight to hate on..jesus christ..it was entertaining against a man who was 31-1 wit 30 ko's i beleive..far from a bum

2 years inside the top 10 of a weight division by The Ring's standards. Floyd and N'dou moved up from 130 to 135 at around the same time. Floyd knocked N'dou out with multiple vicious right hands in 2003. 3rd and last defense of the LW throne.
