Whether you're a fan of him or not, you can't deny that his inactivity is hurting the sport. He's one of the best p4p boxer in our generation and for him to sit around not giving the boxing fans status on his career is straight up garbage.
If the only fight that makes sense is Pac, then why not just retire for good since that's not gonna happen? You can blame Pac for not getting the fight made, fine, it didn't happen but guess what? Pac moved on and everyone else is willing to fight him. This is why it cracks me up how some of you are very passionate about this OST issue. Let's say it IS Pac's fault, then what now? Pac obviously moved on and fought other guys who were willing to follow standard commission rules - so Pac is happy and so are his fans who just wants to see him fight.
But what about Floyd?? The Pac fight didn't happen, so what now? I don't know what the hardcore Floyd fans really want from him. They support Floyd by talking nonsense about Pac, when Pac moved on. What's Floyd status? Why can't he fight someone else and move on like Pac did? No worthy opponents? So why not just straight up retire for good since Pac will never fight Floyd? I don't understand what's so complicated. What do Floyd fans really want from Floyd?
i tell you what hurts the sport more....elite fighters in whack ass ppvs against shot fighters.
I rather floyd do what he's doing, instead fighting in a garbage ppv.

Seems to me that you miss FLOYD. This is no different than what Delahoya did when he became P4P king. To quote what I heard Roy Jones say on one of his interviews. Its hard to get up and go runining when your laying in bed beside a beautiful woman with millions in the bank. Left Floyd do him and boxing will continue.
Whats really baffling is people really do miss Floyd but every move he makes is under such srutiny that its hard for me to understand the FANS of boxing today. He for some reason wasnt voted fighter of the decade but there were really only two people in contention whom where P4P the entire decade and that would be FLOYD and Bernard. Mosley was close but he and Bernard had a couple of close losses which by any accord would make Floyd the fighter of the decade but the racist sports writers and fans whom hate because a person sells himself to ensure after boxing his pockets are lined. Cant see past the act. So I really dont blame Floyd. Chill if you want when you return if he returns people will pay to see you. UP TO YOU WHAT YOU DO FLOYD.
Im all for seeing the fight but Dont you think if PAC was really pissed about the Steroids theing he would've sued ESPN, TEDDY ATLAS and TIM (ATLAS'S source for leaking a confidential email about asking to keep quiet about a positive test. Instead of just the mayweathers.
I lol @ both counts.
A win over Berto means dick because Berto is a glorified overpaid hbo bum.
Mosley >> Berto. Even now.
so tell me what a win over a shane that drew with the dude who just got spanked by brian vera and that got SHUT OUT by floyd proves in comparison (oh yeah, and he's just about 40)
get real, fool. berto would war shane out to a potential ko
lol, yeah, I'm really impressed with Berto too.
The way he's got HBO duped into paying him a million bucks to fight bums and other fighters leftovers is really magnificent.
What are you basing this on?
Based on style.. Meaning Mosley will have a better chance to connect with his shot because Pac is there to hit, and would be willing to trade.. Something that Mora, and Floyd wouldn't do against Mosley..
I actually think Berto is a very good fighter but lets face it, he is currently the 3rd best WW, not because he beat good WW but because all the good WW beat eachother and Berto got pushed up the list for never losing.
I think he's good but with all he has done, i think Mosley has a much better chance to win
What are you basing this on?
because we've already seen what happens with shane. he's coming off a shutout and a boring draw with mora.
as far as legacy goes, a pac win over berto>>>>>>>>>>>>a win at this point over shane.
plus pac's detractors have been saying forever that he needs to fight a guy with berto's style. he has a chance to shut them up.

There's a difference between Marg, P-will, Cotto and Berto, JMM and Bradley
Manny would be at bigger odds to beat Berto, Bradley and JMM. Lets face it. You dont technically want him to face a better fighter, you just want younger fighters with a title.
Fights are judged as "good" by competitiveness, not by being young champs
Plus get all that Bradley at 140, JMM at 135 crap out of the way. The fights would be at 147
Mosley is a 7-1 to underdog man...I doubt Berto would be that high and you want to talk about odds?
Berto is the best available opponent. You obvious don't know what I want....What I want is fight the best available...Don't fight old recycled washed up fighters...Who only have 1 win at WW in the last 3 and a half years....That is what I want...
You on the other hand is OK with him fighting these old washed up shot recycled fighters. And, then use fantasy fights and have the fights won on paper instead of in the ring. To try and justify why Pac-Mosley is a good event...
Good job.
If you like those type of fights...Then so be it...I don't and you won't change my mind either. Because, it's a garbage event...The Berto is a much better opponent right now. But, you want to go off reputation of what mofo's did years ago...And, I will not change your mind either in that line of thinking so no need to talk about this anymore.
I will just leave and repeat what I said. If you're going to fight these garbage ass PPV then I would personally rather you retire or go on a vacation.
Floyd hurt the sport more when he was active. He's singlehandedly responsible for the decline of boxing in the mainstream.
He should've never returned after the Hatton fight.
as far as the topic goes. I would love for floyd to retire.
I also couldn't care less about this pac fight, he might as well be retired.
both can fight a real opponent at the right weight or gtfo
At whos right weight?
Its obvious that in your mind, a young fighter is simply better, just because he is young. You are taking every other variable out of the equation except age.

I agree if he wasn't fighting these old recycled fighters.
Like a Margarito, like a Mosley, like a JMM who might be next at WW, like the winner of Cotto-Margarito II rematch...
That is how he's schedule is looking like. I'm sorry him retiring/vacation would be much better than fighting those fights.

At 147 yes Berto is...More so than Mosley is...
At 140 yes Bradley is...More so than Mosley is...
C'mon.
To try and justify fighting old washed up recycled fighters instead of prime undefeated title holders is just...ridiculous to me.
I would never understand...When exactly Pac fans became like Floyd fans...I am seriously baffled how Pac fans became like Floyd fans...
Exact same thing...
"Who's the best available"
"Margarito, P-Will, Cotto"
"C'mon"
'
They exact same logic, exact same reasoning....I just don't know how or when it happened that Pac fans became as ridiculous as Floyd fans.
I've been preaching this for awhile now. It's actually funny, they fight with each other like teenyboppers but they can't see that they do THE EXACT SAME THING! Lol, what a joke.

I shared the same feelings awhile ago and posted them on here as well. I said that if Manny is going to fight the guys that he was fighting (after he fought Clottey and all the Margarito talk surfaced), that I would rather he and Floyd VACATION TOGETHER.
