Lopez is fighting a guy (Salido) with 11 losses and who's coming off a beating at the hands of Gamboa.
Then his second fight in 2011 is gonna be a rematch with Rafa Marquez who he already beat.
This guy is the joke of boxing. The next Titty Trinidad, my ass.
i see theres some people in here that actually know what they're talking about and like the other 75% are just trolling like usual...
when people say its Arum and not Juanma they are absoluetely right, and its not even that he's doing a bad thing either, cuz it'll bring more money to the fighters too, funny how nobody criticizes Gamboa lol, but Juanma is saying he would fight Gamboa tomorrow, when have u seen Gamboa actively pursuing this fight MORE than Juanma biatches?!
Now Juanma had a couple of opponents on the line for this fight and they all dissapeared lol,
Cordoba
Barros
Ponce (ranked #1 for title shot but wanted to fight someone else)
Barros
Cordoba later came out saying that Juanma's camp had only offered him $100k, and thats why he didn't take the fight, WHEN THE HELL HAS HE MADE A 100K? he said he wanted $150, look people if they would have offered him $200k he would've said he wanted $250, so all in all he didn't want to fight, and all the other people just dissaperead misteriously from negotiations.....
This is the exact same thing that happened to him and the reason why he had to fight Cesar Figueroa which was the only guy who had balls to say hey I'll fight u, cuz nobody else wanted to....
so before anymore trolls want to speak up, do it with FACTS biatches!!!!!!
So has Arum ruled out Lopez-Gamboa for 2011? Because obviously after Salido that's what he should be doing.
i think he has...i remember him saying he doesnt want to rush it like HBO did with bradley-alexander
Juanma or arum??? And Salido didn't take a beating at the hands of Gamboa. Idk wtf u talking bout.
Nope? I guess you didn't see the fight... Salido got abused and knocked out. The only reason why it didn't count as such is because Gamboa acted like a bytch and hit him on the floor when he was already out, and the ref did the correct thing by letting Salido all the required time in the world to rest and get up again.
Gamboa beat Salido so badly that he won a wide UD even by having a point deducted for a flash KD and two points for doing his dirty move. In the later rounds Salido was desperate and scared, you could see it in his eyes.
During the whole fight, Salido was being hit at will and even the commentators were saying the poor dude was just overmatched... Don't try to discredit Gamboa just in case your boy look bad, again...
Btw, I dont blame Juanma for this shiet, I blame Arum... I hate this old man. However, I would appreciate if Juanma would be more like Gamboa and starts criticizing his promoter and asking for the fight already.. Gamboa at least is mad at Arum for not giving him the fight, Juanma seems to be cool with it.
Truthfully, this just isn't true. With his fight with Ronald Hearns, Felix Sturm has already trumped Lopez. Not to mention that the rematch was Rafael Marquez' idea.
Aside from that, he's a smaller guy. He has to buil dup a base before a big fight.
You can do it two ways. Either you beat everyone and become the best, with no one left. Or, you both keep building (Gamboa and Lopez, in this case) and you let them beat everyone but themselves.

Gamboa just beat Mtagwa after Juanma beat him... but then again you know how Bob Arum is...
I dont think he's rematching Marquez. I think he's sidelined with an injury, so Marquez fight that was scheduled for April is cancelled. Im pretty sure he wont fight Juanma agin without a warmup.
Come on you guys know how Bob Arum does his business. He matches his guys well and if they are a cash cow he will milk them until there dry. In the old days they would put these guys on the same show and let the fight build up. BOB isnt trying to let either of these guys look like Alexander and Bradley, the best thing to do is to let this fight marinate and then cash in with the chance that Donaire will be next in line or some other up and coming guy. Both these guys are still developing so theres no need to rush this fight. Thats what happened with Bradley and Alexander an utter disgrace but something everyone wanted to see.
