He really is. Decided to watch clips, fights on YouTube and he's technically one of the best Heavyweights of all time and probably has the greatest jab i've ever seen from a boxer.
Yer, i slated him a lot in the past due to the feud with Haye(Big fan of his) and some of his fans on here got on my cunt but i'm man enough to admit when i wrong. Wladimir Klitschko is great, an ATG and should be getting more respect on here then what he has gotten so far. Since i've been on here anyway.
that girl in your AVY would get the business, that is all. Yes I am drunk.
I'm a big Mosley fan but I admit that Cotto beat him(narrowly), his timing was just too goood for Shane at the time. The fight was really close tho, incredibly even. After that fight I began to see faults in Miguel. I knew that if he fought Marg,he was gonna get stopped late.
Bernard Hopkins is an ATG and a first ballot Hall of Famer but, even elites like him need a tuneup before a big fight. I would've def picked somebody a little better than Enrique Ornelas tho(Marco Antonio Rubio? Epifano Mendoza? Chris Henry? or any lower end MW, SMD, or LHW.)
My knowledge is pretty good i think, don't know too much about the old school fighters tho. My knowledge is based mostly in the 80s and forward. I also have a pretty deep amateur background as well, I fought in high school and while I was in the army.
Nah, the guy who was basically knocked out cold by Bailey over the summer.
What I don't like is that they are being shady about why he's getting sent home. When Figueroa was pressed for answers, he laughed and said "good luck Cotto."
That scares the shit outta me. Although I literally refuse to believe that he was giving Cotto any problems.
NAH thats frankie Figueroa
I personally think it's Mayweather because he's more fundamentally sound, more defensive, and adapts better mid way through the fight when facing a tough opponent.
Pacquiao is also a good fighter but Mayweather would have never lost to Erik Morales at any weight whether Morales was prime or not.
Plus Mayweather has fought more different styles than Pacquiao and is still undefeated doing that, while Arum/Pacquiao's matchmakers only match Pacquiao up with fighters that "come to fight" and who are not known for their defense.
Of these 2, I consider Mayweather as the "once in a lifetime" fighter. Pacquiao is more exciting to watch in most fan's opinions, but he's at his best against fighter who 'come to fight' while Mayweather is at his best regardless of what style a fighter brings.
Name 1 fighter from the past 30 years that's like pacquiao. Pacquiao is one of a kind, you'll never see a fighter like him ever again. I'll name you 5 fighters in the last 30 years that are like mayweather.
It doesnt matter, JT got hurt and his career is done. He wont be able to continue so Showtime is going to have to decide who that replacement should be. Nobody should just get to walk into his spot. There should be some sort of box off.
he's recovered from his concussion. having him in the super six is a hellvua lot better than having green or miranda. The 2 best replacements would be bika and bute.
10 minutes was not enough time to put all the running and hugging into one clip.
I think I got to the 8th round before I ran out of youtube minutes. Again, some will see the cup half empty, others will see it half full.
I still say the dude is nothing more than a runner but he did pretty good at running but it got ugly in the later rounds. I might continue this, I might not.
If Froch was fighting the air that night, he would've won by 1st round KO but, in this instance I think he got schooled.
Hasn't been the same since:
http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2008/0211/box_g_pavlik_taylor_580.jpg
Sometimes that first KO loss is something some people simply cannot recover from. And look at taylor, he's lost 4 of his last 5 fights. He's broken.
he's lost to basically the same type of fighter everytime, I strong guy who could hit hard and do so for 12 rounds. I don't think he's damaged, he's the same fighter he always was. It also doesn't help that Jermain is tight everytime he fights, he seems nervous and jittery in his movements. That leads to him gassing out quicker too.
Bad analogy Ice...
Tony wasn't allergic to Choogar. He fought him.
And he DEMANDS a rematch.
So there.
well he can demand all he wants, he can't fight for another 5 months.
so much for this conspiracy theory huh. :lol1:
unless they cloned a lesser version of pacman to mislead cotto's camp by showing 15 seconds of him sparring, im pretty sure that's manny.
that also moves and punches slower and has smaller calfs and forearms. That's one shitty clone if you're right.
I 2nd this.
seriously it's only a tattoo, it doesnt change him as a fighter. I don't get why people are bitching about tattoos all of a sudden. What are we in the 50s again? I got tattoos on my arms, my ranger tattoo on the left arm and my Japanese heritage on my right.
His source is the very reliable RA The Who?gged man who also said Mosley was on the slide in 1999 and had lost to Forrest(While being at Lightweight in 1999).
Stop twisting shit. Floyd gave him a period of time which wasl ike 99' to 05/06 when he was supposedly "calling" him out. Rugged said he was in a slight after the forrest losses.
He fought Oscar there, I mean whats two pounds, I mean he is a risk taker right?
thats not the point dumbass, he's still fighting cotto unlike your boy mayweather. Remember mayweather won't fight him because he's from Puerto Rico.
actually, what makes me think you might be right is the way the guy moves. The more I watched it the more I started taking your initial comment seriously.
That guy thats getting hit just does not move like pac and I don't think pac would just stay on the ropes...
the calfs and the arm,? I can't really tell...
the guy in the gif is looks like a poon man, his forearms and calfs are really small. take a closer look.
Man I hate tattoos and boxers who have him. Mosley doesn't belong in my current true boxing elite lis anymore: Roy Jones Jr, Bhop, Mayweather. None have tattoos.
you sir, are a dumbass. That is all
Have you ever been to Japan? If so how did they react?...you know tattoos are taboo in Japan, right?
I've never been, My dad is Japanese and my mom is black. I been in the army basically since I graduated high school. Just got discharged a little while ago so, I'm bout to do some traveling. But yeah I knew that.
Is this all you Yanks do now, talk about how good your other fighters are?
Seriously, it's like the PWill theory.
:haha:
b-hop would school everyone in the tournament except for Kessler.
How in any way, can you tell me that someone who fought extremely scared early in the fight, complaining to the referee every time Froch would get close, was barley throwing any punches, (and didn't start landing anything significant until after Froch was hurt) beat someone who was trying to press the fight and make it exciting? I give Direll credit for putting up a fight late and coming to Dirrell's home town, though IMO he lost.
This isn't a hate thread, and i think Andre will become a better fighter after this, but he was clearly out worked.
do you need a prescription filled for some glasses or something? Dirrell was outlanding Froch clearly, Froch barely landed anything the whole fight. Dirrell got the first 5 in my book and a couple others here and there but, I had it 8-4 for Dirrell.
119-110 was an absolute joke and that judge deserves to be fined, but Williams did edge the fight.
I thought martinez won, the much cleaner and harder shots came from him. He seemed to be affecting williams more than williams was affecting him. 115-113 La Maravilla, A draw would work too.
