I know anything and everything going on in the current boxing world.....but like somebody said, I'm still a student to boxings rich history and have tons to learn but boxing is my passion and I'm willing to learn every last drop.....
when it comes to history im still a student. anyone from the older generations could mention half a dozen names before i might know who they were talking about. by the time I'm 50 (which is only 16 years in the not so near future) i will have a pretty solid grasp of the last half century of the sport.
As far as my knowledge of basic essentials and fundamentals, I would say I'm above average.
My knowledge is pretty good i think, don't know too much about the old school fighters tho. My knowledge is based mostly in the 80s and forward. I also have a pretty deep amateur background as well, I fought in high school and while I was in the army.
None of the poll options really fit me.
I'm pretty knowledgeable on things from current times, back to around 1the late 1960's, but prior to 1960, my knowledge is quite spotty. (I.E - I know things about some guys, but not others, can't recall specific dates, etc....)
There are tons of cats here much more knowledgeable than me. I know that much.
I know a lot. Been watchin boxing my whole life. But I still learn some good shit just readin in the history forum on here, or talkin wit older homies who are lifelong fight fans.
Among the people I know I'm the boxing God, They refer to me on all thing Boxing. However Direll losing to Froch on some bullshit ruined my streak of picking the winner of fights. I had like a 3 or 4 year streak of picking winners on big fights! But I still consider my streak in place, due to the fact the froch over direll decision is some bullshit. The only other fight like it where the fighter that did the most dammage lost, was the DLH vs. TIto Fight. I wanted Tito to win but I thought DLH won the fight, he out boxed Tito in that fight. Dirrell outboxed Froch way better than DLH outboxed Tito in their fight. But if you look like you are running than you probablty are. DLH ran in that fight! It's boxing not track and field. Thats why DLH lost that fight. but anyway I'm the boxing shit, Holla at cha boy!
Anyway I know my shit very well. I have been watching boxing every since the 1976 Olympics, I was eight years old at the time. I have been a serious boxing fan every since 1976. Those olympics really effected me in a serious way as a child and til this day I don't know why. I just love boxing!
3 to 4 Post 1999 I would like to think I am very knowledgable before that A 1. There are alot of intellegent people on BS that I can learn from in that department.
I would rate myself 2 almost 3. I'm interested in fights from the 70's on including fighters that are not that well known. I know a bit about the 60's but 50's and back, well that's not my strength.
I don't see how the talent option is relevant. Study enough boxing and you can have as much knowledge to be an expert on the sport. I know enough to get by myself, and I'm trying to improve on that.
