Poll: Who Won The Fight Dirrell Or Froch?

i originally scored it 9 rounds to 3 for dirrell but now that froch is more popular i scored it 10 rounds to 2 for froch.

Lol how quickly people change there mind when they haven't seen a fight in a while. Lol @ this poll compared to Slimshandy's poll.

I scored the fight 116-112 Dirrell last night, i rewatched it this morning and i scored it 116-112 Dirrell. Some of the rounds are different and to be honest the only truely clear rounds are the 1st (clearly a draw since neither fighter scored) and 10,11,12 which was a 9-9 for the point deduction and 10-9 dirrell. Dire fight and i won't be watching it again.

Watched the fight live and there wasnt many who thought Froch had won, I seen it as a bit of a lesson from Dirrell on how to hit but not get hit, a few hours after the fight Frochs face was marked up but Dirrell didnt have a mark on him really. As for the point deduction it made me feel embarassed to be English, if anyone should have had points off it was Froch. Cant see Froch beating Kessler or Abrahams to be honest, last night he looked slow and uncreative and exposed for what he is and that just a brawler with a good chin. Cant say enough about how impressed everyone was with Andre, a real classy fighter with great skills.

...and to be honest i think Froch can't beat anybody in this tournament (maybe taylor if he can ko again but he will lost on point)

Is so clear that dirrel win..he also stunned a little bit Froch (and i'm ot american) Direll boxe was very bad to see but Froch did nothing to take the fight in is way. THis super six is already messed up by judge

I thought it was a bit biased at the start when Froch slammed Dirrell and didn't get a point.Then i'm sure Dirrell got a point deducted correct me if i'm wrong..Bunce said at the start we're straight in this country as well.The poll result makes it look like a joke,robbery.Read this one,robbery as well just for example.The joke in Scottish boxing circles is that you now need a knockout to get a draw on English soil. I'm English but I thought Dirrell had that fight easy. Froch was being frustrated BIG TIME because he couldn't brawl or anything. Dirrell's hand and foot speed were causing him troubles and although he ran at times he did that because he wasn't physical enough to stop Froch getting to his chin, I thought it was a good display of crisp stick and move at times he hit Froch with some good shots. I think this thread shows further those who like to see someone trying to box and those who just like a tear up brawl cos I wouldn't call Dirrell a pussy....why go out with the intention of gettin KTFO. He'd get cussed for gettin sparked out like Taylor but he'll get cussed for actually being elusive I don't understand that. Boxing isn't just about brawling how can "styles make fights" if some of you only wanna see all out war all the time.

what are you talkin about? the first 4 rounds both froch and dirrell did nothin but throw a couple jabs to the body and head and both landed about the same ammount, you are makin it seem like dirrell was landing a bunch of punches in each round i think he only would land about 6 punches per round and froch was landin some jabs and some body shots when dirrell would have his back against the rope so most rounds were even bein that both fighters landed only about 4-6 punches per round look at the stats dude

Dirrel ran like a bitch all night and didn't want to fight. It's the aggressor that wins the judges score, afterall it is a fight, I'm sick of this yanks destroying the sport by running away all night. If you don't want to be aggressive go back to amateur boxing.

Awful robbery. This is what turns people off from the sport. I had a group over tonight and non of them are boxing fans. It will be hard to get any of them to watch a fight tonight after that. On another note. This tourny will be over after the next round. Dirrell, Taylor and Ward will all drop out and fight for titles, there is going to be no money in this for them. Could have gone either way, but I need to see it again. It ain't hard to make a case for either fighter -- Dirrell outboxed Froch, but I agree with Froch when he said Dirrell fought very negatively and got on his bike for pretty much the entire fight. It wasn't even close at all. Even my 11 year old cousin who does not know anything about boxing, was surprised that Dirrell did not win. That's the problem with boxing, when someone that doesn't know much about boxing can discern the winner but paid professional judges cannot, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth of potential fans. Anyhow, the poll speaks for itself, and I think it takes a bit away from the Super Six. No points for a split decision?

114-113 Dirrell. Quite an emotional fight to watch. Carl got dirty because he was frustrated, Andre at times acted like a bitch. Dirrell has so much talent, but he fights too scared.

I'm one of the biggest Froch fans here, and although it's never easy to score a fight live in an Arena, i still thought Dirrell had won. No matter how negative he fought, fact is, he landed the more accurate shots and fought a much smarter fight. Froch definitely wanted a fight, and not wanting to chase all night, but the difference was, Dirrell had smarts. He knew not to exchange with Froch, so what else was expected of him? Back up, and pick your shots. That's what he did.
