True, even though Horn did nothing after getting knocked loopy, Pacquiao was far too wild and barely landed over the last minute. I wouldn't be mad if a judge went 10-8, but it wasn't as clear as Teddy/Strephen A made it sound.

The last time Manny Pacquiao looked great was against Oscar de la Hoya. The last time I was impressed by him was against Miguel Cotto.
Pacquiao has been sleepwalking through his fights since in Marquez 3. He had a little fire in him in for Marquez 4 but it was his lack of concentration that caused the vicious KO. Against Algieri he looked ok but he was fighting the perfect opponent to look good. I'm not sure what version of Pacquiao that was last night.

Gamboa had skills and natural attributes. He just kind of got spoiled by life in the US and lack of discipline.
Judah was one of those boxers who had speed and people mistook it for skill. He had some pop, but due to a weak chin was shy on the trigger.
Broner embodied the worst qualities of the other two with less of what made them good.
So Broner beats Mikey Garcia.... then challenges and beats Terrance Crawford..... beats ruler of WW division (winner of Thurman v Spence), takes on and retires Pacquiao, draws Floyd out of retirement and re-retires him, Lamenchenko gets ****y moves up and is brutally KOd, moves up to jrMW and beats Canelo, and Golovkin weight drains down and gets stretched. Mix in a few keep busy fights against divisional top 5 guys and BOOM.

Never seen Clottey as a "lunging puncher". Never known him to be particularly wide in the since that it can be exploited either.

The people denying its Floyd are crazy. Why would commentators place their reputations (possibly pocket books) on the line, saying it was a big star like Floyd, ON A NATIONAL BROADCAST, if it wasnt? They even said where the video took place. So if its not Floyd, why did no one who watched the session say it wasnt Floyd, why didnt the people at Top Rank who promoted him at the time say it wasnt Floyd?

As far as Williams fight goes, maybe thats the fight he started cheating after since it was his first loss in 3 years, or more likely Margarito wasnt landing as solid of shots as he did on Cotto.

There are often statements made by fight commentators such as; blood impresses judges, agression impresses judges.
Sometimes judges are announced as doctors. Do these people judge fights full time? Why do they score points educated fans would not??
I am just curious if anyone has any info on the guys that decide the fate of the fights..

Doctor just means they have a doctorate/phd in something, doesn't necessarily mean they are an MD.
"Educated" fans arent always as educated as they think, and these same "educated fans" don't even always agree with one another.
I don't think you necessarily have to go to any sort of special training to become a judge (especially in states with shitty commissions and if you are doing tiny shows) but it does help you get licensed in that state. I know that yearly there is a conference that goes on for 3-4 days where you can take symonars on judging and refereeing, but I cant tell you specifics. (There is a poster on B*xR*c who is currently a judge and is moving up the ranks to some pretty decent sized shows, who gives me info about different aspects of it, post a thread about judging there and I assure you he will find it and answer all your questions. Just dont be too critical as he gets very defensive)
