I saw this video and i cant tell if its floyd or not. The commentators say it is, but i doubt it.

The funny thing is that this video has been holding Spadafora's reputation up since it happened. This sent the wrong message out that this is what would happen if they both fought and so a lot of folks thought that Spadafora could hang with Mayweather.
Nonetheless, for anyone that thinks it's not him, you are wrong. It has officially been known to be him since it happened. There was a big hoorah over it when it first came out, and all the people that though Mayweather was completely invincible, even when out of shape, had a fit over it and it was found out to be him very quickly and not only was it not denied but it was confirmed that it was Mayweather by the Mayweather camp.
Big deal. He's big because he's not been in training. Do you have any idea how much weight they lose over the course of a full training camp? So of course it's going to look like a big version of Mayweather. :nonono:

Yeah it has to be him judging by the first video. The one the OP posted didn't look like him, so I assume he was tired during the clip.

yes that is floyd. Floyd hadn't been in the gym for like 6 months i believe, but don't quote me on that. That was his first time in the ring and was way out of shape and not really trying. It's sparring for crying out loud.
*sigh*
Yes, it's Mayweather. 100%. This video has been around the block a million times and it is most definitely him. As everyone says though, he hadn't been training whereas Spadafora was coming up to a fight.
The people denying its Floyd are crazy. Why would commentators place their reputations (possibly pocket books) on the line, saying it was a big star like Floyd, ON A NATIONAL BROADCAST, if it wasnt? They even said where the video took place. So if its not Floyd, why did no one who watched the session say it wasnt Floyd, why didnt the people at Top Rank who promoted him at the time say it wasnt Floyd?
LOL@ all the guys looking at the wrong vid claiming that HUGE mofo was Floyd.
The new stuff you posted looks like Floyd.
Its the same person thats the start of the session, the video they were talking over is the end. Check my post above
Look at that guys calves.
Lil Floyd has never had legs that big.
That is not Floyd..he's too tall and bulky..
I guess Floyd is the only guy on earth that gets taller and more muscular when he's not in shape.

it definitely looks like an out of shape mayweather. if you look at him when he throws his counter punches thats exactly how mayweather does it, has the right hand up, left close to his waist to bait the guy in, rolls with the punch and comes back with a right-uppercut or left hook which you can clearly see he does. I definitely wouldn't say that was floyd at the top of his game. it was probably the first sparing session he had in a while. anyone could take a lot of punches like that when they are really exhausted or out of shape. put floyd in good shape and a bigger ring and he garauntee he wouldnt be standing in front of the guy like that.
Who knows? Floyd may have been knocked down or out in sparring in the past. We may never find out. But even if it were true, that didn't diminish his accomplishments when it mattered.
Right, I saw more from this spar session and it def looked more like Mayweather. BUT... big deal. It's old footage and doesn't mean that much. Just a spar session.
And that's coming from someone who doesn't like Mayweather much at all.

The real question is:
Why would they keep repeating Floyd's name if was not him?
What do they have to gain from mentioning Floyd and not the right person?
That was Floyd. He was just starting his training camp and honestly looking good in sparring is not the point of boxing. So you can't hold anything against him, by the time he fights he's in great shape.
Of course there are some proper bummers who insist that Floyd is in fight shape all the time and this sort of pisses on their parade, hence the denial.
Obviously Floyd the people who are saying it isn't haven't seen many Mayweather fights , and the at the end when they go to the corner you can see that Spadafora is taller.
