What are your thoughts on Golovkin's pandering to Mexicans

At times Golovkin feels like a politician trying to get the Mexican vote. Do you find it awkward? Does any of it actually help sell PPVs? Yes it helps and I don't think he is pandering. He likes the Mexican culture and he is trying to build up a fan base. That's fine.

I NEVER said Nelo won. I bet he would win by KO but it didn’t happen. Well Glolovkin is a non-native who fights in America almost exclusively. Mexicans and American Americans are an important market to try and tap into in the US so it makes a lot of sense to pander to those groups especially for someone with no natural group for them to draw upon. It is an odd fit to tray and go after but it makes a lot of sense.

If he has a strong fan base there why not.

Basic promoting, mexico and the us are the best target sites. While most boxers disappear (understandably to get their privacy), Golovkin is the quintessential professional.

It's whatever to me, some of GGg shtick is a little cheesy but I guess you need to do that to draw some of the casuals in But you can deny the fact that Gennady and his team work their a.ss of to promote him as a fighter and you can't knock that, wish more fighters put in at least 1/10 of the work Gennady and his team do He went from a unknown Kazak to one of the biggest names in the sport in just a few years

It's genius. Canelo has alienated a number of home fans with his attitude - and results like GGG v Canelo just adds to the lore that he's a pampered diva. Every Mexican fan GGG gains, is a fan Canelo loses - so it's a double whammy. Mexicans like Warriors - Canelo isn't one.
