you don't know **** about boxing - roger mayweather
How to be an exciting fighter - wladimir Klitschko
Loose Your Illusions - Audley Harrison
Hero toe zero - david haye
How to take a punch - Amir kahn
Why Vitali Klitschko is the GOAT and wasn't really Tkoed in 6 and has never lost a round and could beat tyson, ali, foreman and louis in 1 night while banging me up the bum - Jimmy
Ya it's tough. Honestly some of these former LHW'S would have raped a lot of the SMW'S fighting today .Ya I know, 175 is naturally bigger lol. But if the likes of Moorer or Spinks was around today and could 're hydrate', I can see them making 168 weight ins and come fight night comfortably around 177ish.
Even Matthew Muhammad could probably brutalize Froch.
could you imagine what moorer would do today lol ... it would be brutal.
I voted for I don't know ... pretty lame huh? But really i couldn't put a solid prediction down for either guy both are fantastic and there are reasons why both could win, I think I favor Spinks but Roy was damn good at his best so ...
I literally wanted to knock him out. That's the dumbest thing about boxing I've ever heard. That's a big reason why he doesn't like him.
Tyson was one of the most skilled fighters ever. Prime Tyson would be a handful for any fighter in the entire history of the sport end of - anybody who disagrees is a clown.
It's not banned in nevada (though it should be) and that's where he fights. You can take it whatever way you want. He's not technically cheating ... as long as the fight is in Nevada.
he certainly seems to be very divisive around here - probably the most divisive since floyd. He's got a lot of fans and a lot of haters.
If you see somebody focusing their comments on either group ... and saying that group alone are the problem and the reason you can't have a debate about him here then you can be sure said person has their own bias and can take the rest of what they say about him with a pinch of salt.
I may be wrong, and God knows I hope so, but I have that funny feeling we won't be seeing Canelo/GGG in September. Canelo made the remark on the post fight, "We don't fight for titles, but solely for honor and glory". That never sat well with me, as it sounds like a guy ready to vacate. Also, Oscar would be risking his only cash cow. Am I alone in thinking this way?
Sounded that way to me too but we'll see. I remain tentatively hopeful
I think the better question would be do most boxing fans even know Kell Brook.
imo he is a good fighter but damn the guy needs to get some names on the resume.
Easy to tell peoples' agendas by the numbers they quote. Canelo fans will quote 600k ... his haters will quote 300k.
real number is obviously somewhere in between.
Same as GGG haters quote 97k and fans quote 150k.
either way PPV has taken a huge hit since May Pac.
... Winning the fight with Canelo before he was KOd, has me concerned that most of you know F1ck all about boxing, and scoring a round (fight.)
Not only was he being out landed, in nearly every round, he was also being hit with the cleaner shots through the entire fight. He was nearly KOd several rounds before he was KOd and the rounds he did win, he barely edged out. I think because Canelo didn't steamroll through him in round 1, people started thinking Khan actually did better than he did.
I rewatched the fight for the second time, it was not really close.
I seen some people had it 4-1 Khan, 5-0 Khan?, LMAO. :unitedsta
Khan won the first two rounds. canelo won the rest, though I won't argue with somebody giving the third to khan
Im a neutral boxing fan, no preference over khan or brook
but surely khan still ducking brook has got to be one of the biggest ducks of recent times
i remember watching the skysports ringside
interview with both of them, khan saying he meets to win a belt and fight a big name
he done that in porter but still made excises of not fighting him once brook was champion.
He then send he doesn't want to give brook a payday
Brook hasn't said anything negative or rude about khan before so where is all this hatred come from?
why does khan have such hatred for someone who is likeable and doesnt offend?
it seems khan clearly sees the big chance/risk of him getting KTFO and his ego couldnt take it
but why? cos hes also english
or cos of the sh1t hes already said about brook
why would it matter if brook has fought few big names?
surely you want an opponent who brings the most revenue and being a champion
brook brings both
does khan think he will lose to brook?
thats the only reason that explains this obvious duck
- neutral boxing fans answers please
no khan or brook fans
short answer - no
I'd have canelo as favorite but its an interesting fight due to lemieux's power. best guess is canelo by UD or late stoppage but if Lemieux catches him or turns it into a war all bets are off.
Middleweight is hot right now
the worse it did the more likely we get the GGG fight. If canelo can't pull in great numbers now imagine how **** he will do if he is stripped of the title and seen to openly duck ggg.
Haye, Fury, Klit all beat him at the moment imo. he needs AT LEAST a year and some tougher fights before getting in with any of them.
A fantastic test for Joshua would be somebody like Pulev.
If Canelo manned up and fought him I'd actually be happy if he won the fight. I'd probably cheer for him simply because he'd be showing great coruage and taking such a big risk when he doesn't have to. it would be a great example for the divas and show what a true champ should be. -- Don't get me wrong I don't think he would win, I'd just cheer for him. Up until the last year or two I've always liked Canelo and would again if he showed the courage he built his reputation on by getting in there with GGG.
He'd be remembered for what could have been more than for what he actually achieved. He'd be largely forgotten by the casuals within a few years. Touch and go if he'd make HOF maybe he would - he has had a long title reign. maybe people would point to him as an example of wasted potential, the bad points of boxing politics and shockingly bad management in his early career.
Well it would be better than Floyd's win over Canelo anyway and considering the amount of weight khan is moving up it would be up there with Floyd's very best wins but better than them ... eh we are talking got Oscar, Pacquiao etc here
