I literally wanted to knock him out. That's the dumbest thing about boxing I've ever heard. That's a big reason why he doesn't like him.
Tyson was one of the most skilled fighters ever. Prime Tyson would be a handful for any fighter in the entire history of the sport end of - anybody who disagrees is a clown.
Ignorance at its best.
Like today when I asked my buddy what he thought about Cotto-Clottey...
He said, I don't think Clotteys chin is as good as Cotto's, I think Cotto knocks him out.
I was like, well considering Cotto was floored at 140, rocked by Judah, and forced to take two knees by Margarito... where Clottey hasnt been rocked and went toe to toe with Margarito.... uhhhhh Id probably have to disagree...
He goes, oh well I didn't know all that.
No, apparently not.
I can only imagine the smile your friend had on his face when Cotto floored Clottey in the first round with a jab
most of my friends say the same thing but they don't know anything
I broke down Tyson's 85-88 style in a bar. They say he's overly aggressive? I showed videos of him counter-punching.
That's what he was, not a lot see that because of defense.

he had great head movement. you're manager probably couldnt box a lunch.
you patterned your style after Mike tho and are build like him
To be honest... at work, the only reason they know I box is because I needed vacation to fight. I'm really private.
dont even think it worse to create a thread about that. I don't even argue with people who like sports. I find it hard to convince some one that I am right, and on the same time I hate telling or teaching some one. I feel like a smart ass, so most of the times I remain quiet.
Now talk with boxing fans - yeah for sure, regular folks pass by
This was years ago. I didn't treat it serious, if I didn't I wouldn't have posted. It was just funny because he's a big MMA fan. I laughed in his face.

I wouldn't go that far to say no one has ever thrown with such perfect form. I do think that Tyson was a very well schooled boxer/puncher because that's what he was.
The thing I hold against Tyson is that when faced with decent competition, he folded and that's why I can't put him up there as an ATG. I honestly cant think of someone who threw with better form, mabey a few AS good but nobody better.
The funny thing is is that he thinks I have technique, although I don't show I fight similar to Tyson. I was thinking, " I don't even have technique as good as him yet he thinks he thinks Tyson doesn't?"
well i am an ex-con..lol
Man, I bet when you were down, a cute boy like yourself had all kinds of cookies, cakes, nabs, and plenty to smoke, and I'm talking taylor mades not rips. Probably ate at the canteen every day instead of the chow hall. And maybe even made a few extra bucks wearin catch-me's doing folks laundry out on the yard. lolol
j/k bro.....lol
NO TECHNIQUE!!?
Ive never ever seen a guy throw his punches with such perfect form!
This guy had phenomenal combinations and at his best jabbed, bobbed and weaved his way in before tearing u to bits, including the use of a top class body attack!
People tend to credit guys who box of the backfoot and move around alot with having great skills and technique. Mike went forward, he had to at his height, but he did it with a great technique

This is probably one of the stupidest things ive heard, it because of his brilliant technique that he was able to generate so much power!.
People get there mind set on Ali being the perfect example of boxing technique, which is possibly the worst way to look at it.
