Murray, Geale, Macklin, and Lemieux are all basically the same class of fighter. Any one of them is his best win, depending on who you think is best of them.
Geale h2h would have defeated Lemieux and Murray, that's GGG's best win right there. Lemieux is easily out worked, and like Murray hasn't the brains to irk out a win at the highest level. Name me one achievement of Murray or Lemiuex's that eclipses Geale's win over Sturm considering Sturm was just coming off of the demolition of Zbik.
I'm unsure which was Murray's best performance, his loss to Martinez or his failure to beat Sturm, Lemieux's would be the N'Dam fight right where he lost pretty much every round he failed to knock N'Dam down, or Rosado right ?
A heavy bag can take 8 rounds of punishment too, but it's not a good competitor and neither is David. No offense if you're a fan, but Lemieux is pretty terrible in a technical level and he got schooled worse than most Golovkin opponents. I think people think of David as legit because they saw a hundred promos telling them such.
David got the most hype because it was PPV.... HBO and GGG's team did their best to sell him as the biggest puncher in the division but even his power (his only asset) was vastly overrated and clearly inferior to Golovkin's. They made a big deal about him dropping N'dam 4 times but it was telling to me that he never came close to finishing him off and add the fact that Quillin dropped him 6 times too for good measure. Honestly I don't think I've seen any GGG opponent (other than Wade) look as hapless as Lemieux did that night, he may have lasted 8 rounds but he did next to nothing.
Murray would get my vote because I felt he deserved the decisions against Sturm and Martinez in their backyards. He was also thoroughly dominated by GGG but he looked like he belonged in that ring until the body shots in round 4/5.
Geale has the achievements, being a former unified champ but for me he didn't beat Sturm any better than Murray did and other than Sturm, I can't think of any other meaningful wins he has but he has some decent ones like Mundine and Sylvester (who was better rated in those days) but nothing that says he is better than Murray.
Probably Lemieux.
For those saying Murray, I disagree. He fought a very close fight with a crippled Martinez (the same version that Cotto blitzed), he lost to a very limited and old Abraham, he lost to Sturm...he's really no more than a solid fighter.
Lemieux isn't great either, but at least he brings massive power which can make things interesting.
Murray, he's naturally a super middleweight and all his losses aside from the GGG one have been very contentious. He should have got the win against Martinez at least (I think he beat sturm). I didn't see the abraham fight but from the sounds of it he should of won that fight as well.
Sergey Khomitsky
I actually did consider this one - and for the stage of his career at which he fought Khomitsky it was a very good win, on a level playing field Khomitsky would have drawn with Murray twice - maybe even have a win over him, may well have beaten Stieglitz and derailed the careers of more British prospects than unplanned pregnancy.
Best win is obviously making these champions in the 160 pound division piss their pants and just hand over money to avoid a bestdown. Most amount of money for the least amoun of work, safe, and efficient.
I think he brought it all against David ... His best technical fight by far... IMO Lemieux took more beating than Murray and I'm not sure who else would have stood there for 8 rounds with the amazing amount of shots coming...
A Lemieux/GGG 2 will happen for sure, and this time David might be better prepared knowing what's coming...
Dunno about any rematch, but Lemieux sure proved he doesn't have a chin problem.

Lemieux is a flat footed wide punching B grader , I got no idea what you are looking at , all I can come up with is he is a patriot and lots of guys have clouded vision because of this my team is good because they my team . .
