I think that's a fair assessment. I do think he'll start long though, Fury is very good at fighting long with his reach and ability to pivot. That'll make Usyk have to work hard for success if he can do that. The thing with Fury is we know he can switch it up and dogfight if he has to. Does Usyk have a plan B if he needs it? As far as I've seen, he has no inside game. Like a lot of fighters who had long amateur careers, they often don't have any inside game. Usyk just covers up and waits for the ref like they do in the amateurs. One of my only criticisms of Loma is I don't think he really has huge versatility, he's just brilliant at what he does. The fact he doesn't have a strong plan B is the reason Teo beat him, he nullified his angles and Loma had no answers until Teo strayed from his plan, then he got back to it and won the fight. I often wonder if Usyk is similar. They're exceptional at one thing but when it's not working, then what? You raise an interesting point here. Fury is very much a pro fighter and was brought up around prize fighting where you have to find a way to win. The third Wilder fight was a good example of that. Usyk might well outbox him and can win but he'll have to deal with several different versions of Fury to do it.

My guess is that how Fury fights will be dictated by what power he feels from Usyk. If he doesn't feel threatened by Usyk's shots then he'll walk him down. If he gets buzzed then he'll keep it long.

He will sign. Whether it's before the date above is really down to the lawyers and arbitration. Arbitration doesn't end until after that date, so it's not hard to forsee the date changing to wait on this. Top Rank and the WBC will obviously be trying to make Whyte without the arbitration ending to get their way. It's all a total mess. Shouldn't have messed with the %s and the fight would already be done. I think a lot of things make more sense if you see recent dealings surrounding Fury/Joshua/Wilder/Whyte in relation to wider business interests involved. Fury was paid a spectacular signing fee by Arum/ESPN and, I suspect, part of that is for attempting to drive DAZN to the wall. If broadcast viewers are lost to an app they will likely never return.

The only way Fury doesn't have Covid is if it has been agreed with Wilder to postpone for commercial reasons. How do we know this? 1) It's a cross promotion so Wilder's business partners would mandate a verified test. 2) Wilder is the p4p all-time whining champeen of the free world yet doesn't appear to have much to say about this nefarious attempt to prevent him re-occupying his throne .

He'll be easier to beat now that Fury has shown how it's done. Wilder will need to adapt because previously his opponents, including Fury in the first fight, relied on out-boxing him. That was a failed strategy because, as Wilder puts it, he only has to be good for a second of each fight. Fury showed that he can be bullied on the inside if a fighter can slip the right hand to get there.

Shane McGuigan said that in the first fight Fury was dipping after feinting which brought his head down level with Wilder's shoulder. In the second fight he stayed very upright so that Wilder had to punch upwards thus lessening the power.

Trust me, I've just watched Haye on BT Sport and NOBODY wants Wilder to win more than him.

It will be interesting to see Fury's attitude towards Usyk. I suspect he will be respectful.
