Eddie Hearn had confirmed Anthony Joshua could step aside and allow Oleksandr Uysk to fight Tyson Fury.
Joshua has been negotiating his rematch with Usyk and had been expected to announce an April date at either Wembley or the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
And Fury is due to face Dillian Whyte in a mandatory defence of his heavyweight belt with purse bids due on Friday.
But Fury's promoter Bob Arum has claimed talks are ongoing over an undisputed fight between Fury and Usyk in the Middle East.
And Hearn has confirmed Joshua could be paid to step aside.
"It's true," Hearn told Boxing Social when asked about Arum's recent comments. "We're right in the midst of those negotiations as well.

Good news, i hope it happens!!
Any fan who doesn't want to see Fury/Usyk ASAP has strange priorities. It is a fascinating matchup that will define both careers. How could anybody who is serious about boxing prefer to see if Whyte can get lucky with a left hook rather than this?
- - 6 years now the Ring chump with a single scrawny title Deyonce defense paying peanuts to show after turning down a $75 mil AJ purse...your sissy hero and you're welcome to him...
You aren't even typing coherently mate, wtf are you even saying? he isn't my hero but him or usyk are the best of this era we will see when they collide. I bet you are an AJ fan who beat old past it has beens and shows he has 0 heart.
Worst Ring hvy champion in history? you really are a moron mate. There is no spam bots just nobody agrees with your deluded bias dribble you spout on a daily basis. Legit not seen you post one positive thing on this website you miserable maggot.

I know I'll catch some shet for this.
But aside from the whole " unifying the HW titles " aspect.
I'm not too interested in this fight.
I might be wrong. But IMO Fury and Usyks styles together will most likely give us a boring fight.
It will 100% be a boring fight and easy fight for Fury
I WANTED TO SEE AJ VS WILDER. I still wanna see it, who cares about the worthless trinket belts these guys refuse to fight over. Lets get it on tomorrow, AJ vs Wilder.

I put that troll on ignore ages ago. He's a halfwit.
Joshua has plenty to lose . There’s no guarantee Fury sticks around if he defeats Usyk which is the likely scenario . 15 million isn’t exactly a lot of money for A.J either he’s making far more then that . There’s also no guarantee that Fury defeats Whyte if that happens so in an event A.J dies lose a second fight to Usyk it’s not exactly the end either way ,he’s sticking around where Fury is looking fi4 any excuses to collect a certain status and then pack up and leave . Right now he can’t do it .
I really don’t see A.J stepping aside there’s nothing to gain by him doing it and it would have to far exceed a 15 million offer . Then you have to consider the other guy Whyte and what paying him to step aside ,Whyte out of everyone has the most to gain in a Fury fight and collecting a belt which I believe would set up A.J undisputed fight so A.J needs to assume nothing anything can happen .
As I said in a reply above - it all depends on the investment from the middle east. Joshua-Usyk 2 would be booked and Hearn wouldn't be pursuing a middle east deal for Fury-Usyk if Joshua wasn't open to it.
Granted, Fury is insane, but if he beats Usyk there is little chance he walks away from the biggest fight in history and something like 50 million pounds in a fight he would certainly be favored in.
And if he does, the belts go vacant. And Joshua has another path to the title - probably without having to fight Usyk again. Joshua-Whyte, Joshua-Wilder, etc all have a much better reward-to-risk ratio.
These guys are playing odds, and the odds of them getting what everyone really wants - Joshua-Fury for all the belts - are SLIM if they both have to fight their upcoming opponents. That's why both sides are open to finding an alternative path.
The problem with that is no one wants to see Usyk vs Fury it’ll bomb . Real boxing fans want Joshua vs Fury .
Yes, the calculus is this - Fury is more likely to beat Usyk than Joshua is as for as oddsmakers go. So having Joshua step aside and fight the winner of Fury-Usyk is the most favorable path to getting Joshua-Fury for all the belts (and an insane pile of cash) in an all British heavyweight bout.
Problem is, Fury-Usyk is not a huge fight financially and getting together the step aside money for Joshua (and Whyte? depends on which way the wind blows at the WBC office that day) is risky, especially if Fury loses.
It all depends on the Middle East. If the investment actually comes through, then there is a big enough pot to pay step asides and move forward. If not, we get Joshua-Usyk and Fury-Whyte.
No international market for the worst Ring Hvy Champion in history who booted his own larded keister out of his homeland of England because he couldn't compete with AJ.
Yes Arum and Hearn are both lying and you are right.

Arum been hiring a bunch of 3rd grade bots to spam boxing ain't gonna make it happen.

What made it good, is that just when you thought Wilder was gassed and had nothing left, he would land a big one on Fury that made you think Wilder wasn’t done yet.
To be honest after the 6th round he had the power of a super middleweight. He was punching on empty from the 6th round. Still i thoroughly enjoyed the fight. All those accusations with every punch that landed on his cranium he had to answer for it. Fury later dedicated the win to Mark Breland :cool2:.... OK HE DIDNT BUT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A FITTING END
Take the belts out of the equation, Uysk vs Fury is a bland match up.
Their styles and probably characters will not clash in my opinion. I agree with you, and I don't want to see it anytime soon. I think the idea of the fight is disrupting other theme's that want to play out in the heavyweight division.
You only have to look at the reaction of the people on this thread. Compare their reactions to ANY Whyte vs Fury thread? There is distinct difference in hostility, passion whenever the Whyte vs Fury fight is discussed. Even the interactions between the fighters, has all the ingredients for a block buster event.
People may act like they don't want to see such fights, but deep down it is those type of passionate match ups that captivate.
Fury vs Usyk will probably be all matey matey with one another, there will be endless respectful gestures from Fury's team 'The good ole, Usyk is a fighting man compliment' I don't care for any of this, and I want to see 100% raw competition, where another opponent does not careless about Fury's background.
Although I think Fury will beat Whyte, Whyte will bring a similar intensity the same way Wilder did etc
I don't care I want to see the best against the best.
If Joshua gets beat again which I highly think so, since Usyk is way too smart for Joshua and always 1 step ahead of AJ. Joshua can avoid Usyk and let Fury defeat him. Fury is a boxing genius as well and I believe close enough to his prime to still stomp Usyk on any given night. Then the AJ - Fury fight will be a banger.
This is the best move for EVERYONE. Tyson might be fading fast since he looks 50 years old already. We get the best version of Tyson against Ursk. Joshua can rebuild himself again with a few camps and tune ups and then we get the winner of Tyson - Usyk which should go to Tyson. And then we get the winner takes it all Tyson - Joshua, which Tyson should nick again despite being a shell of his prime.
- - When Big Jelly gonna marry U on that schedule?

I hope they make this - its a deal that makes sense for all parties. Joshua has nothing to lose and everything to gain but taking a step aside.

I don't see any real money being made for Fury vs Usyk. Usyk unknown in the states. AJ still has a name in boxing. fury should wait for the rematch and hopes AJ wins.
According to Hearn, there's people willing to pay big money for it, presumably Saudi Arabia..
I would love to see a Big Ass PPV with the following matches;
Fury vs Usyk
AJ vs Wider.
Winners fight for the real championship of the heavyweight world!
What a mess. I don't really care who fights who at this point I just want any combo of AJ, Fury, Usyk - and to a lesser extent Whyte to get it on ASAP.
