These are clearly the #1 and #2 in the division at the moment. So how do you see it going?
I’d pick Fury by decision but I’d be interested to see whether he’d try to outbox Usyk like he did Klitschko or push him back and pressure him like he did Wilder.
Do you think Usyk’s feints and movement would also trouble Fury? Or would this be a step too far for him?
Is he as hard to box as we assume? Probably but maybe worth noting that Wlad and Wilder are extremely basic, static almost and painfully trigger shy.
One just has a one-two the other just a right hand with limited variety. Neither can fight up close or even at mid-range.
Then he has seen a bit hit n' miss really against much lesser fighters whom for most part aren't as basic.
Could those fights with Wilder and Wlad simply be a bit smoke and mirrors?
Would he be able to pin Usyk down to lean all over him and rough him up? He never stops moving.
I certainly think Fury would be the hardest matchup for Usyk but I think he would find it difficult to maul Usyk for the same reason Joshua wasn't able to bully, impose himself, or rip power punches in combination against Oleksandr. He simply isn't going to be stationary for you to do so with any regularity good luck pinning him down. Fury's reach, ability to throw underhanded punches (uppercuts) and negotiating range would present the biggest challenges.
Another thing is Chisora weighs about the same as Fury and is strong as a bull yet something that gets little mention is that in clinches Usyk was the one backing him up more often than not. Same thing during the occasional clinch in the Joshua fight. He was able to shove Joshua off of him. The Cunningham and Wallin fight show how it might be possible for Usyk to compete against a giant like Fury.
Most importantly though the buildup to the fight may be the most entertaining press conferences in boxing history.

Would he be able to pin Usyk down to lean all over him and rough him up? He never stops moving. usyk would be a nightmare for anybody no matter what height and weight advantage they have.......his movement is crazy and stamina is endless and it’s ok mauling someone yeah but can you pin down someone as quick and tricky as usyk I doubt it......I’m not saying he will over power fury but he sure as hell can win a points decision.
I knew usyk was super skilled but I thought joshua would get him the 2nd half of the fight and I was way off....usyk got stronger as the fight went on and that was against a 240lb heavy hitter with decent boxing skill....Joshua was simply outboxed , out thinked and outworked by a master boxer last night

getting a few bumps and bruises on your face is part of boxing and when your taking shots from a 240lb heavyweight heavy hitter the punches will cause damage and you should know that
No one and I mean no one beats usyk if they try and box with him.
he’s a ****ing magician with also grit and belief

Fury would maul Usyk to death and drown him in a messy fight. There's no point in trying to outbox this man, got to use size and strength. you cannot maul someone to death if he is not there ..although I agree with you about fury using his size to beat him ...doing it is another matter and fury has been dropped by lesser men.
Fury needs to take on real challengers and not just talk a good fight...usyk is a supreme talent and both wilder and fury will try to steer clear of him.
as for AJ he got beat by probably the most skilled fighter in all of boxing except maybe lomachenko so no shame in it...I do not see anybody beating usyk the way he performed last night and he actually weighs more than wilder and would absolutely tie him up in knots.
a fighter that has no balance , only a right hand and no jab will get embarrassed by usyk and that’s wilder.
as for fury he has the best chance because of his size.....watch wilders movement compared to usyks to see how far apart in levels they are and yeah he mauled wilder but wilder is bambi compared to usyks level of movement and stamina
looks like we won’t see the fury Joshua fight now so it’s time to move on.
I hope fury comes in shape and ready for wilder in less than 2 weeks and wins
- -Fury got the Corona and aint' got no title defenses.
Deyonce got the dented noggin.
U boys got the jellied ectoplasm?
Or maybe just the fecal runs...:yo:

Yeah possibly.
I have a hard time seeing Usyk with his size out boxing Fury but at the same time, his size would help him in the sense Fury would have issues landing himself. So it’s intriguing.
Chisora had some success mauling him, I’d think Fury would too if he opted to get physical with him.
Can’t see Usyk beating Fury. Styles all wrong.
Fury’s hard to outbox, and even then, you’d think even if he is out boxing him he’d adjust and use his size and lean all over him and rough him up.

Its impossible for me to make a prediction.
I think the general consensus will be Fury is too big, long and physical - similar to why most were picking AJ.
But we've never seen Fury vs someone that has the mobility, the stamina to match him, the speed hand and foot. AJ is actually more athletic than Fury that is what sort of allowed him to stay with Usyk for most part.
I just don't know but please boxing Gods, give me this fight. I need it!
I just need to see, it's the type of fight that you just need to see cause it'll just end up sending your brain into overload trying to pick a winner based on styles and such and not assumptions of one fighter being too big, too long etc
On Fury's best night he's got too much for usyk. This is providing he's up for it. He's been giving off vibes over the last year that he has lost abit of his motivation.
Hope I'm wrong but he could hit self destruct before this fight happens

I've always felt these were the #1 and #2 the two best and most skilled in the division and the fight I've wanted especially after seeing Fury vs Wallin.
That have no idea who wins or how it plays out (which is how boxing matches should be) but that fight with Wallin gives me serious faith Usyk would be a real handful. Whoever wins that is the greatest HW of this era and easily surpasses Wlad in the previous one imo. I think a win for either is massive for their careers, legacy and all-time standings and puts either rather easily into the top 10 HWs ever
While those fight I still want to see Wilder vs AJ. AJ is the better boxer & all of that jazz and I don't want to be in the habit of picking fighters because they have a mere punchers chance but I just can not for the life of me see Wilder not landing that right hand on AJ at some point. For me AJ is a better fighter/boxer but I just don't see him avoiding that right hand or taking it but I do rate him over Wilder its just his power is too much & he'll take AJs power better than vice versa
It’s not about the minerals.
Fury knows he can make it a dogfight without gassing and/or getting badly hurt and taking 3 rounds to recover.

It is about minerals. AJ was clearly losing, but still unwilling to put it on the line and go out swinging. Happy to lose as long as he didn’t get flattened again.
Even if he gassed, he shouldn’t still shown the grit at the end to leave it all in the ring.
he’s not a natural fighter.
You can also look to some of the troubles southpaw Wallin gave him. Nobody is unbeatable
Exactly, I’d pick Fury to win but Usyk is definitely a live dog in that fight.
I did actually think of this fight. Even though Fury is a much improved fighter nowadays, Cunningham’s speed gave him problems early before Fury pressured him and eventually iced him.

Fury has too many ways he can win a fight and he’s simply levels above AJ. Different task completely.
Usyk is a great fighter but so is Fury, and knows how to make size matter. He has the balls to make it a dog fight if needed. AJ hasn’t got the minerals for that.
AJ is a B level fighter that thought he could box, but he can’t and hasn’t got the IQ to adjust.
