Great fight :boxing:
Bit of a quick stop. Not a horrible stop, but I think Cardenas earned the right to go a little longer.
For sure was the only big fight that delivered this weekend. Thanks for that Inoue/Cardenas
Hope he gets to keep calling more fights going forward.
what did he say after the Haney fight…in order to “Dream” you have to fall asleep. (Or something like that) Lol
Maybe not necessarily too violent but somewhat relatable and recent was Tsyzu vs Fundora.
Don’t see too many modern fights that are that bloody. I thought it was bada5s but I was surprised it wasn’t being stopped as it was happening
Bud is better pound for pound but weight classes exist for a reason. He’s jumping up to 168 tonight, completely skipping 160. He only fought once at 154 and didn’t look good. All his highlights are from 147 and 140.
Canelo been at this weight for 7 years.
Canelo is clearly past his peak but he’s still signing multi fight deals, so he clearly don’t think he’s ready to hang them up.
I think Bud could win if he made it a stinker and stayed on the bike but he hasn’t fought like that in a long time. Plus he just weighed in at basically the limit, same as Nelo. I think he should have stayed lighter than that personally. Think he will be slower than we are used to seeing him and easier to hit tonight.
I could still see him doing it though. He’s definitely one of the best fighters of the last 20 years and a win tonight would make him probably top 10 ever. I kind of think if he does win it will be a schooling. That would probably mean I’m wrong about him keeping his same speed at this weight or Nelo is wrong and he’s closer to being done than he thought. Can’t see Bud stopping him though so an actual KO out of the question unless Nelo’s corner stops it because there’s a complete speed difference. But I think Nelo can eat his punches without going down.
I don’t think Nelo stops him either though. If he does it will be a straight right which Nelo don’t throw as often as he used to. He seems to like hooking more in recent years.
Nelo by decision. Hope an earned one and not by screwing Crawford.

It’s a shame Manny ran out of gas in the last quarter of the fight.
You could tell the difference in him after his team stalled fixing the tape getting him back out there to start the round.
He’s my favorite fighter so I’m not gonna lie I was hoping they would give it to him even though it probably really was a draw. Would’ve been great if they gave it to him and he actually retired for good. The way he leaves his hands down after every combo has me nervous for him if he tries to keep fighting.
Barrios can’t feel good about tonight. Now he knows why Manny picked him.
I hope Manny hangs them up. He can hold his head high getting a draw against a current champ at his age. :boxing:
I wasn’t scoring so I can’t say for sure but it felt like Tank lost. I’ll for sure have to rewatch when I get the chance.
But I can say for sure that should’ve been called a KD and that right there would changed the draw results.
I’m a Tank fan from Baltimore but this one stinks
Shameful. Charlo or Berlanga are both the worst of the discussed options.
Obviously almost everyone wants it to be Benavidez, but that’s not happening.
But bringing up Crawford or even Munguia are way better options for Nelo’s next fight.
How can this be defended if true?
