I laughed when they said that Barrios is the only champion at 147 that Manny can beat.
I think he beats all of them not named Norman.
He beats Rolly.
He beats PTSD Haney
He beats Cryan.
He beats Paddy/Crocker winner.
He beats Shakur/Benn winner.
They should make Tank vs Manny happen in Nov/Dec since both are coming off draws.
Pacman -tank is a big dollar fight and a very exciting that guaranteed fireworks.
It's crazy to think that a 46 years old legend who should be fighting at 140lbs is still better than most 147lbs top 10 boxer. .

That would be slightly too ridiculous. Barrios isn't losing his belt to a 46 year old coming straight out of retirement.
This was a very convenient outcome. Good story, an event people are talking about, Barrios praised for how respectful he was, Manny praised for his performance.
If this was an exhibition then everyone would be saying Barrios was carrying Manny. Because it was a title fight, people can't believe that it was scripted. What? Boxing couldn't be shady? Of course it could.
so they gonna rig the fight but say "hey, let's just make it a draw"???? LOL!! what's the point of doing that then? lmao!!! what good is that supposed to do? usually when a fight gets accused of being rigged, the guy who has no shot at winning, ends up WINNING!
what a dummy! if they gonna rig the fight then why not make Manny win the fight instead of a draw????

Well he didn't lose, first of all.
It looked like he tried his hardest to lose and still accidentally won 6 rounds.
you said Pac was getting KO'd??? now you trying to say the fight was rigged???
Amazon don't need to be in on it. They just need to benefit. If they benefit then PBC benefit.
How much did Pac get paid? How much did Barrios get? That's enough reason isn't it? And Barrios keeps his belt while Pacquiao enhances his reputation.
You don't even really need to properly fix it. You just need to be clear on what a good outcome would be. Fighters can actually fight to that outcome.
You would have to agree that was an unusual fight?

PBC insisted as part of the Amazon deal that people purchasing a PPV not be obliged to take out a subscription (unlike DAZN).
So your entire premise is faulty. Never mind the more tenuous aspects of fighting to a 'good outcome' that hasn't been 'properly fixed'.
You're doing that thing most conspiracists do: hedging on the details rather than concede lack of feasibility. Which I find disappointing from you.
For this (latest) conspiracy theory to work you need to establish a strong motivation for the main participants. There is none for Pacquiao to help PBC like that.
Sounds to me like a 46 year old legend faded in the last three rounds. Not really much mystery there. Barrios is just a mediocre belt holder.
There's far too little guarantee of subscriber upswing to risk having such an easily leakable conspiracy destroy everyone involved.

I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist. But...
I genuinely think we witnessed a WWE style kayfabe fight. A pre determined outcome that the fighters deliberately fought to. It seemed weird the whole way through - maybe even a bit too good if a story to be believed. Pac starts making people hope he can do the improbable and Barrios wins the last few rounds to tie up the fight. Barrios' inactivity seemed strange unless you see it for what it might have been.
Even right down to the trainer saying "show him no respect, don't touch gloves with him" before every round - including before the 12th when he was obviously going to touch gloves at least and actually hugged him. How would a trainer react to being consistently ignored by his fighter? But Barrios looks like he was being respectful to Pac so it's all ok.
It just seemed like theatre. Then you overlay PBC needing an event and maybe a follow up. Amazon getting what Netflix didn't quite get due to Tyson's age.
It looks dodgy as hell to me.

While we don’t always agree, what I respect about you as a poster is understanding the sport of boxing vs. the business of boxing.
This fight was always about the business but you treated it like the sport.
You felt he looked better than this before and it felt like he tried to lose and accidentally had a draw.
I figured this was the case when the fight was signed, which is why I picked Manny to win. I’m surprised a guy like you didn’t see it the same way.
People talking about "Barrios got exposed" are crazy. There was never anything to expose!
Dude hit the lottery when Thurman passed on the Ugas fight - Barrios was next in line, and when they got in the ring it turned out that Ugas was a shell of himself.
That's it. He's been hanging out fighting soft touches, waiting to sell that belt to the highest bidder. If there's no Pac rematch, I wouldn't be surprised if its Conor Benn cruising to a UD against him next.
Benn ain't making 147, get real.
Damn...Manny impressed the hell out of me! I never expected him to look 1/2 as good as he did! I almost was afraid to watch it, thinking he would be in horrible shape, but he defied his age. He almost pulled off a major upset...just a touch more energy in the 12th would have sealed it. But still, a draw against a 30-year-old Champion was super impressive at 46 after what was a coming out of retirement fight and just a 2-month training camp. Manny is a true legend!
Remember Tank fans hyping up that Barrios win?? That kid just got lucky to get a draw against a retired 46 year old guy lol... Absolute trash at 147 right now
