Good point, I know what your saying.. It's even more of a reason to jump onboard the Klit Vs. Haye HBO 24/7 bandwagon.
Surely, you would check it out if it were to air, so why not take 30 sec. of your time by shooting Hbo a message requesting them to do a 24/7 on this fight...
If Hbo were to see that there's a big enough demand for a 24/7 to be done -
It just might happen... And it will be thanks to all of us The Fans who voiced up to make this happen.
Basically, If you would want to see a 24/7 done on the fight, simply click the link on the front page, fill out info and submit. Be part of the team!!!
BUT -
If you don't want to see one done, just ignore this thread.
Personally, I would of thought every boxing fan would want to see these 2 in a 24/7 series... Exciting fight!!!!
C'mon Ladies and gents, send those requests out to HBO.
The more requests they receive, the more likely they will give us what we want - A great build-up to an exciting Heavyweight Fight!!!
* Link is on the 1st page
From what I heard from the Grapevine - Yes.
Apparently, RTL will broadcast from Germany
Setanta Sports from the UK
And HBO from the US
At the moment, these are the networks providing the sporting event.
When it comes to boxing though, you can never be sure, everything is always subject to change... DAMN BOXING POLITICS.
Do your part and do a request - Strength in numbers :boxing:
Daft Punch - To be honest, I'm not sure what the chances are for this to become a reality but what I do know is that with each request sent to the HBO Team, the chances become better.
By requesting, The Voice of Fight Fans (Our Voice) will be spoken (in this case written). Let's hope that our request doesn't reach deaf ears.
Honestly, It would bring much needed interest to the Heavyweight Division.
GreatJoe Is right on the money when he wrote "there should be ATLEAST a 24/7 for this fight."
A 24/7 will be sure to get the juices flowing for this much anticipated fight for non-boxing fans and for us fight fans alike.
HBO are listening???
AWESOME Zhaakal
Spread the good word to your fellow fight fans in your community.
Let us all hope HBO does their part and puts up a good build-up for the fight.
Honestly, I don't really have a preference who wins the fight.
I'm just glad that us (the fans) can finally witness an exciting heavyweight showdown between 2 fighters that come in shape to fight.
No disrespect towards wlad or his fans but I have to admit, a Haye win would be good (if not great) for the sport of boxing. He's got the combination of youth + personality + the gift of the gab = Star - which is a positive for the heavyweight divison.
On another note, I don't want to see any decison or disqualification take place... Whoever wins, one or the other has to get KTFO!!!
lol.....You got me.
Believe it or not Tyson can still be champ but not THE Champion. Ruiz,Brewster, and maybe Byrd get squashed by Mighty Mike but Klitschko takes him to school.
3 out of 4 belts isn't bad. :D
I remember it being a decent fight. Tucker didn't let the Tyson mystique bother him (at least it seemed like it) -
I had Tyson winning 9 to 10 rounds of the fight, but Tucker gets respect for hanging in there and not punking out like other fighters who fought Mike.
I give the man credit for his exceptional talent. He was blessed with lightning quick hands and feet. However, his level of opposition has always been sub-par except for maybe 2 r 3 fighters he's fought. If Jones had the proper mindset he could have been the greatest p4p fighter ever, but due to his lack of quality opponents and a habit of not wanting to fight the hardest fights out there he will always be remembered as a could've been. He Could've been the greatest.....
Knowing Roy, he probably won't even try to avenge his losses, claiming that he doesn't need to because of some BS type excuse. Now you tell me - Do the great ones make excuses or go avenge defeats....Like I said, Roy could've been.............
It's not a great time to be a Heavyweight boxing fan due to the half ass skill most of the fighters possess. Paying hard earned money to watch fighters hug, pitty-pat, and look clumsy all night long pisses me off. Thank god for de-scramblers.
Truthfullly, it will be like this for awhile and all that we can do as boxing fans is to be patient until a new heavyweight emerges and unifies all the belts....OR a current belt holder decides to stop dicking around and Unifies to become Undisputed. Currently, things are a god-awful mess.
I think that we all agree that the man's style is @$#!ING horrible, but you do have to give the persistent lil bastard credit...he just keeps on winning....C'mon, Will Somebody PLEASE mop the floor with this guy - Where the hell is Tua?
None of the Above. They are all pretenders to the crown. I don't know who it'll be but some young man will come out of nowhere and take the boxing world by storm...Could it be Sam Peter???
Just for posts sake, I'll go with Klitschko, but he may be over with before he even gets started, compliments of Mr. Rahman.
Let's just say it's a known fact.
LL has always wanted to fight Bowe, but only under these circumstances will he ever attempt to fight Bowe. The circumstances being......
1. Bowe would have to be in shape and own a belt-
It would add more to the fight by fighting for a championship belt...you know the drill, it's New Champ vs Ol'Champ. Also, Being in shape is important so there won't be any excuses afterward.
2. Bowe beats Vitali -
Bowe beats Vitali and then talks shit to Lewis. LL will then want to fight Bowe because he will be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, by beating Bowe he also beats Vitali and manages to get some of that stank from his last performance against Vitali put to rest.
If 1 and 2 happens then your looking at A Bowe VS Lewis Re-match of Olympics.
I can't remember who wrote earlier stating that Lewis can get more money fighting Klitschko...which is true for now,but it's not really about the money when it comes to fighting Bowe it's Ego, bragging rights, and EGO.
Anyway, if the 2 circumstances are met and all this hoopla becomes a reality then Lewis will probably end up getting more money against Bowe than he would against Vitali, since Bowe would be champ by beating Klitschko and it would be a re-match of the Olympics etc,etc.......
Keep in mind, I was noting that he would only come back to fight against a properly trained and motivated Bowe. A Bowe that would be a champ or THE champ at the time.
All I'm saying is, if Bowe by some miracle became champ again, meaning that the whole brain damage, out of shape, and being lazy issues don't exist then that's when Lewis will come out of retirement to face him. Of course, he'll have to shed away something like 80 pounds of fat and hope people don't mistake him for Kirk Johnson. lol.
It's no secret that LL and B-Hop are boys. They both ruled the second half of the 90's and early 00's together and formed a good friendship....that's why when a reporter asked LL to pick who'd win, he was like " your putting me in a tough spot" - Go for his countryman or go for his boy B-Hop...Just a little inside info...
Anyway, Onward To the thread - I see this being a very competitive and action packed fight where both men don't back down for nothing. It's a pick-em due to Eastman's confidence being supreme and because of B-Hop's age. Even though he hasn't shown it yet, but the age facor is getting the better of him.
Eastman should consider himself lucky to be fighting B-Hop at the end of his era, because he might just pull out a W.
Prediction: B-Hop SD Ho-E >>> lol
Sorry, but Jones was never a special fighter in my eyes and NO I'm not blind :D . Anyway, Hagler had true grit and would be all over him. Taking away Jones' speed by smothering him making Jones fight his kind of fight. Hagler TKO10 Jones
I took up boxing when I was 13. I was decent but I just had more fun with it than anything else. Boxing kept me off the streets which was cool, and it also added some muscle to my skinny behind lol. I also got into Boxing because of my cousin. He won the Gold medal at the 1984 Olympics, but he never really did anything in the pro's. Anyway, When I was younger I used to try to copy his moves but ended up looking like I was having a seizure...that's when I realized I had better change to a different sport before I become a laughing stock at school. lol.
B-Hop is approaching the end of his career due to father time and wants Big fights= Big Money...Do u blame him? He'll have 2 or 3 more fights and then he's outta the game. Eastman should have put on a better fight that night because he won't get another crack at B-hop's titles until B-hop retires.
The right order on taking out the current champs would be to 1st fight against Ruiz. It will enable Tua to get a belt and a much needed confidence boost going into his next fight against Brewster. After taking out Brewster, Tua's mission gets a little more complicated. Byrd will have the psychological advantage going into the fight due to winning the 1st match, but I see Tua putting the pressure on Byrd (who has slowed down quite a bit since the last time they fought) forcing him into a corner and eventually Ko'ing him around round 8 or 9.
Assuming everything has worked out like clock work, It will then be time for Tua to take on his his toughest opponent....Klitschko. The only way I see Tua beating Klitchko is if he's learned from his mistakes, when he fought against Lewis. Klit will more than likely use the same strategy Lewis used to defeat Tua. He will have to be on Klit like white on rice, sustaining a high work-rate throughout the entire fight. IF he can do this, then it's possible that he beats Klit....either that OR he gets lucky and lands his left hook on Klit's temple forcing a stoppage......possible but highly improbable.
Let's C.....And the Winner is........ALI.
Tyson would bother the hell out of Ali the first couple of rounds and might even drop him on his ass  . Nevertheless, I see Ali eventually out-classing Mike , which gets Mike frustrated and possibly getting him to use his mouth jab....Biting the hell out of Ali's neck.
Gotta Go with the Big fella on this 1. Mike's not dedicated enough and he's RUSTY as hell. He's only a 3 to 4 round fighter.....Take him into round 5 ( if your lucky ) then you pretty much have yourself a punching bag. After Round 4, he's only got a puncher's chance to win. -SLIM to None-
Now if your talking prime vs. prime..... I don't think you have to be a genius to figure it out. TYSON's speed would have been the deciding factor, let alone his Freakish power. TYSON KO3
This young buck is barely even a pro (5 fight novice) and has already begun talking shit... :wtf1:
In a way, what he's doing is a good promotional tool. By putting his name in the media/newspapers, he will receive some exposure to the general public + he's got a catchy nameBUT at this stage of his career he needs to tone down the shit-talking and win meaningful fights. Later on in his career he can do the Haye thing and talk himself into a championship fight... If he ever gets that far.
He kind of reminds me of that tall crappy fighter that Barrett knocked out a couple of months ago - Tye Fields. lol.
In all fairness though, he's still raw so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt to see what he can accomplish before I'm quick to judge.
