John Ruiz is a fighter who has a style that fools the judges and make better fighters look bad. He will get beat by James Toney though because Toney is way to skilled for the clinching style he will find away aound it.

ya All except for Toney, now there is an overated "heavy" weight! Toney is over rated, he beat up not just a shot but a "REALLY SHOT" holyfield, and he beat up some bum that was fatter than him and ruiz got his ass handed to him by the former middleweight champ RJJ, HHAHAHAHAH!!

As I said before; it's hard to believe anything he say about boxing when he doesn't even follow boxing. This guy is far, as in further than the closest galaxy other than our own, to be label a LEGEND. Well, he could be name as the legendary clincher, and the most hated heavyweight in this era. Sooner or later, he will retire and be forgotten.

i agree ruiz is a poor title holder. but he keeps beating people who are more talented than him by drawing them into a wrestling match, which suits his style. the only one who did'nt do this was jones, who used his speed to avoid ruiz (johnny hung back that night anyway). i think vitali and toney would beat him, vit cos of his size and jab, toney cos of his all round ability. rahman will get drawn in same as the others (especially if he tires).

John Ruiz is the funniest Heavyweight Champion. Every time I read his comments I have to laugh, he said that he can beat every fighter including the three other champions. I think all what he tried to say is that everyone can beat him and not the other way. :)
