Hey guys,
For those of you who would like to see HBO do a 24/7 series on the up-coming Klitschko Vs. Haye fight, click on the link below.
Just fill out the info and where it writes message, write a short message requesting a 24/7 series be done for this fight. As most of you know, this fight is the 1st exciting Heavyweight title fight to come along in Years.
Since both fighters happen to be European, the promotion for this fight will most likely be dull.
CALLING ALL BOXING FANS - Do your part and request.
Hopefully with enough support from us boxing fans HBO will do a series on this exciting Heavyweight Title Fight between The Undisputed Heavyweight and Undisputed Cruiserweight Champions.

Here's what I submitted in the message space -
Hi Guys, I would like to suggest a 24/7 be done for the up-coming Heavyweight Fight between Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye.
This fight has all the makings of a classic. The Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Vs. The Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion.
Also, it's the 1st meaningful/exciting fight to come along since the Lewis Vs. Klitschko fight.. and that was YEARS AGO! Please do us boxing fans a favor and make it happen. Thanks!
Keep Your Guard up -
BUSTA HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!!!
C'mon Ladies and gents, send those requests out to HBO.
The more requests they receive, the more likely they will give us what we want - A great build-up to an exciting Heavyweight Fight!!!
* Link is on the 1st page
Personally a Countdown to the fight would make more sense. HBO maybe reserving 24/7 coverage for much bigger fights especially after the Pacquiao-Hatton fight.
how is it a risk? they are promoting a fight on their own network. its guarenteed to make more viewers watch a fight, regardless of how many.
Well, it does cost a lot of money to produce the 24/7 series. they anticipated 500K buys with Calzaghe-Jones but I believe it only ended up doing between 200-250K. Hopkins-Pavlik didn't exactly rake in the numbers either. For whatever reason whether it be the economy or something else, they've learned they can't just put out anything on PPV and have people eat it up.
As it stands Wlad isn't a big name in the US and Haye is completely unknown so I just have a hard seeing this gaining the attention of the mainstream US audience which is who really brings in the money.
You'll are welcome to try, it can't hurt, but I'm not optimistic about it happening.
It doesn't matter if the hardcore boxing fans want to see a 24/7. They're has to be a name already set for the mainstream audience to take notice. DLH brought Mayweather and Pac into the mainstream. Mayweather then in turn did the same with Hatton so we now have Pac-Hatton who people are already familiar with.
If Jones-Calzaghe didn't do shit they sure as hell aren't going to take an even bigger risk with this fight.

They only do the 24/7 Series for PPV fights. As entertaining as it is to us fight fans, it is really targeted at casual audiences to get them excited so they will buy the PPV to see what happens.

Good point, I know what your saying.. It's even more of a reason to jump onboard the Klit Vs. Haye HBO 24/7 bandwagon.
Surely, you would check it out if it were to air, so why not take 30 sec. of your time by shooting Hbo a message requesting them to do a 24/7 on this fight...
If Hbo were to see that there's a big enough demand for a 24/7 to be done -
It just might happen... And it will be thanks to all of us The Fans who voiced up to make this happen.
Basically, If you would want to see a 24/7 done on the fight, simply click the link on the front page, fill out info and submit. Be part of the team!!!
BUT -
If you don't want to see one done, just ignore this thread.
Personally, I would of thought every boxing fan would want to see these 2 in a 24/7 series... Exciting fight!!!!

Daft Punch - To be honest, I'm not sure what the chances are for this to become a reality but what I do know is that with each request sent to the HBO Team, the chances become better.
By requesting, The Voice of Fight Fans (Our Voice) will be spoken (in this case written). Let's hope that our request doesn't reach deaf ears.
Honestly, It would bring much needed interest to the Heavyweight Division.
GreatJoe Is right on the money when he wrote "there should be ATLEAST a 24/7 for this fight."
A 24/7 will be sure to get the juices flowing for this much anticipated fight for non-boxing fans and for us fight fans alike.
HBO are listening???
lol.....i think HBO is done making 24-7 for anything other than guaranteed successes after the calzahe-jones fiasco(and who didnt see that coming?looooooooooool, i couldnt believe it when a fight who would not even make 300k ppv's got a 24/7....)
AWESOME Zhaakal
Spread the good word to your fellow fight fans in your community.
Let us all hope HBO does their part and puts up a good build-up for the fight.
