England boxers think Eastman will win

Eastman seems confident that he is going to knock Hopkins out by the fifth round. The fight should go the distance if they box, if Eastman is persistEnt on taking Hopkins head off it would be Hopkins who wins by KO.

ya All of those boxers opinions are just as credible as yours, Although I question Lennox predictions. He always pick the underdog. Man, power isnt going to be an issue in this fight. It is all going to be about countering in this fight. Eastman can punch their is no doubt about that but he isnt a one punch hitter, he actually puts punches together and is pretty cautious about it. He doesnt waste punches and neither does Nard, this is going to be a very close and tough fight for both fighters. Go watch an Eastman fight and you will see that he is a boxer not a brawler. Eastman is the toughest fight for Hopkins I think, he is a legit middleweight and not blown up and hey the guy can box. To say the fight will be dominance is absurd, neither fighter is going to dominate it will be very defensive and based around countering all night. Eastman isnt stupid neither is Nard, Eastman always talks about being explosive and starting a fight but in reality he never does. This is going to be one hell of a fight, I am picking Eastman and am pretty sure he will squeak out a decision. Hopkins has slipped a bit and even makes note of it although Hopkins is still superior, I think Eastman is the truth to Hopkins. This fight has been brewing for years. I am hoping Eastman can last until the final bell, but I have my doubts, he just doesn't have the work rate in the ring to out point Hopkins, and quite frankly I don't think Hopkins will have much trouble with Eastman, he doesn't bring anything that Hopkins hasn't seen before. I look for Hopkins to shut down Eastman much the same as he did Tito Trinidad, who Hopkins will beat again before he retires by the way...

the fact of the matter is this, take a look at each fighters records. see who has fought a better caliber of fighter. basically there you have it, Hopkins has fought more guys on the world level, and beaten all except one. Eastman is good fighter and deserving of getting a shot at the champ, but his level of play isnt at the top of the game. alot of his wins are from euro-journeymen, he has one real name on his resume and he lost to him(joppy), but everyone knows that. even though you can argue eastman was robbed, he still got the L. and to think that Hopkins and Fisher aren't coming up with a great game plan to boot, you must not be thinking straight. Eastman doesn't possess enough head movement and foot work to beat Hopkins, he does have power but so did Tito and Hopkins handled that no problem. also with the foot work, if Eastman comes forward all fight long it's gona be a long night for him, cause Hopkins is going to have angle for days.....i'm saying that Eastman is a game fighter and is much desrving for this shot, but he's outclassed, just like i said for the mayweather-bruseles fight, the guy is outclassed. Hopkins is going to win, how, well that remains to be seen, but a good cash money bet would be to bet that the fight doesn't go the full 12 rds. alot of sites and casinos are giving +210 and up for it. i'm gonna drop a C-Note......

Eastman says he will make it explosive, but I thik Eastman is a smart fighter and has showed it before in his fights. He takes a few punches at a time and is very cautious which could be positive or negative to fighting Hopkins it is just how well it is executed. I read the article in the paper this morning. Most of them are saying that he has a chance if he sticks to the right gameplan, they're not bigging him up and saying it's in the bag. They were making comparisons to when Lloyd Honeghan came over and made Donald Curry his bitch in 6 rounds when Curry held a similar status to Hopkins.

Atwa-Realize this, Eastman is a defensive fighter who doesnt leave himself open. Bernard will not dominate this guy. It will be very close and will go the distance most likely, very competitive....Noway Nard dominates Eastman and noway does EAstman dominate Hopkins. This is a great middleweight matchup and not a mismatch, If anyone in the middleweight division was going to knock off or even show Bernard aging it will be Eastman. Dont underestimate this guy til you see his fighting style.
