How far do you see him going?
Champ/Contender/Pretender
Personally, I believe Tua has the tools to become a champion. If he comes into a fight in shape and focused, then those so-called champs better watch out.
The other belt holders won't be a problem for Tua except Klitschko, mainly due to his height and reach advantage, but NOT because of his skill.
Tua can handle Ruiz the same way he did the 1st time, although I will say, Ruiz has mastered that Ugly ass style of his pretty effectively. That style will let him survive a couple of rounds before getting KTFO...again.
Brewster's claim to fame is being able to absorb punishment, which is exactly what he'll be receiving if he fights Tua. I don't see Tua pulling a Vlad by wasting his energy and eventually passing out. Tua KO's Brewster - the punching bag -within 3 rounds.
A re-match against Byrd will be a true test of his will and determination. I believe the 1st time they fought, Tua wasn't mentally prepared. Like I said earlier, if he comes into a fight in shape and focused then he's very difficult to beat. I see Byrd going down ala Ibeabuchi style...around the 8th round.
I think Tua can reach his potential by staying in shape, fighting on a regular basis, and being mentally strong/tough. I can see Tua having 3 belts in a couple of years with the other champ being Vitali. Although I don't see him being the Unified champion, there's a good possibility that he could do it, but that's only if he fights Vitali with the proper plan and executes that plan flawlessly.
What do you guys/girls think?
The right order on taking out the current champs would be to 1st fight against Ruiz. It will enable Tua to get a belt and a much needed confidence boost going into his next fight against Brewster. After taking out Brewster, Tua's mission gets a little more complicated. Byrd will have the psychological advantage going into the fight due to winning the 1st match, but I see Tua putting the pressure on Byrd (who has slowed down quite a bit since the last time they fought) forcing him into a corner and eventually Ko'ing him around round 8 or 9.
Assuming everything has worked out like clock work, It will then be time for Tua to take on his his toughest opponent....Klitschko. The only way I see Tua beating Klitchko is if he's learned from his mistakes, when he fought against Lewis. Klit will more than likely use the same strategy Lewis used to defeat Tua. He will have to be on Klit like white on rice, sustaining a high work-rate throughout the entire fight. IF he can do this, then it's possible that he beats Klit....either that OR he gets lucky and lands his left hook on Klit's temple forcing a stoppage......possible but highly improbable.
Tua would crush any of these chumps masquerading as champs today, including Vitali. This is assuming he really knuckles down to some hard training and gets serious.
:bsflag:
This is as delusional as a Tyson comment.
Byrd got the best of him in '01. I dont see how so much inactivity would help him in a rematch.
He last impressive W came against Fres in early '02. Its '05 now and he's fought 3 times since going 2-0-1. he did look real impressive against Moorer. haha.

I define 6.2 as pretty tall.
He is atlest both longer and more skilled than brewster.
When they're fighting you dont see a crazy height disparity. 6.2 is pretty tall when you're 5.5.
As for Toney, I think Toney laughs at Tua until the bell rings, then he clown him.
Put him in with Tyson
That would still make one hell of a fight! (for 25 seconds at least)
this has always been a great idea. If this fight is made, there needs to be one condition. LOSER RETIRES.
Hmmm, it would be a good fight but i think golota would have more too lose than too gain from it.
If he wins it wont rank him much higher and if he gets caught and ko`ed. Its probably over
After Golota embarasses Brewster, and takes the WBO, let's have Tua fight him, who would love to see that? That would be one helluva fight. I agree with you, Tua does have the ability to become a champion, I would pay tons of money to watch Tua knock ruiz out,....again.
Just thinking of paying for a Ruiz makes me *CRINGE*
Unfortunately I have to if I want to see my favorite HW fight *argh*
Hasim Rahman may be skilled, but he aint that long. He held his own with Tua on two occasions. Actually was able to knock him down after the bell in RD12.

It's a shame the wasted talent of Tuaman.
Maybe his confidence went flying after Lewis...? Tua is too small and too slow to get inside often enough to beat the top crop of fighters.
If he doesn't hit someone with a lucky-ass-punch of course...
Put him in with Tyson :D

Yeah, Tua went down very heavy too, it was weird. But don`t write off Tua. He does have a punch and a great chin. The taller fighters such as Rahman and Klitscko would probably easily outbox him but lets be honest. Brewster, Ruiz would be susceptable to him and Toney is smaller than Tua so i`d give Tua a great chance at beating these guys!
Well he has gone the distance on several ocasions, and if he pace himself and comes in not too heavy id say he beats brewster.
You need a long skilled guy to take tua, brewster is neither

True, but its hard to judge Tua at this point...We know he is grossly out of shape but after about 10 comeback fights he could be used to his old days. The state of the heavyweight division is hard to judge his performance as well.
Best thing to do is sit back and watch what unfolds...
True, heavy hitter indeed and I dont think Brewster would back off of Tua. His instincts would probably get to him and "fight like a man" and trade which would be his downfall. The blueprint is what Byrd did to Tua..That was incredible it could be argued Tua was in his prime at that point.
But conditioning will hurt Tua, Its not that he is fat its that he is Samoan and those people are naturally large and Tua is REALLY heavy.

Well, brewster has a good chin but, is there omeone out there with the power to knock him cold its Tua.

:gives:
Tua has about a big a chance as Prince Naseem to become world champion again.
Only "champ" he might be able to take would be Brewster.
I dont know man, Brewster has a durable chin and isnt the slowest fighter out their today. He might be able to withstand and back off of Tua to counter him....Provided Tua doesnt tire.
Tua would lose against any champ today. His skills are most likely long gone and any fighter with credible speed could easily outhustle him...I may give him a chance against Ruiz but thats even doubtful, as what Ruiz normally does (fight close and hug) would not be his gameplan and would probably try to keep distance from Tua....
Tuaman is done for, unfortunately he never really *****d through with the talent he had...He wasnt disciplined enough.
