I have DSG winning via a close decision. I think a Knockdown or a slow start from Peterson will help secure a victory. Peterson looks Extremely hungry & focused in his camp
Damn that girl was BAD!!! I thought they were still together. I have much respect for Mosley, but he's beginning to gain some ***** ways. Talking way too much now about things that are not suited for the public. First Jingle via IF, & now Bella
There is a cesspool of Great trainers in Philly. I promise they will become mainstream as there is a few Philly prospects that will be taking huge step up soon. I've had the opportunity to see first hand some of the good trainers in the LA area as well. I love the advanced science training that seems to be prevalent in the Bay Area... I truely believe Philly gyms should get more exposure. I live in NJ, & frequently travel to LA. I realize most journalists that cover are stationed in California, but the Philly gym scene is something Special!!! California has the weather that attracts fighters & trainers alike. No one goes to cold ass Philly, but true to my Daughter the Philly boxing scene is on park or likely better...
It's never good to display these personal family issues via social media. Unfortunately millions fall into this trap. All I can say is I wish the Mosley's nothing, but the best. I know Shane has a new Lady( she's BAD as hell too), but Kinda has children with him. Don't let the public see these outburst
FYI: It is the Boxing commission who grants boxers a license to box,(State regulated) along with the Doctor that certifies the boxer as healthy,(AMA regulated) who would be to blame .... Not the Promoter\Manager.
In essence, a promoter\manager can put a stark raving lunatic in a boxing match and they would not be liable for what he does.
I agree. I was happy when Dibella first said he wouldn't promote Taylor anymore because of the bleeding of the brain. Dibella is one of the promoters tat care most for his fighters, but I didn't think he should've supported the Taylor return. I do place most blame on the Doctors & SAC, but Dibella should've stuck with his guns. I know its hard to tell a fighter not to provide for his family, but they must be better protected. I was nervous for JT throughout that bout
As a Brownsville native I would like to say yes, but it just isn't no way in Hell!!! Great natural talent that never reached full potential. Its sad as hell all the potential that gets wasted by ALOT of fighters. I was at Shueler Gym in Philly recently & was talking about all the wasted talent & potential in Philly alone. Zab actually reached ALOT further than some, but in no way is he a HOFer.
I might be favoring Cotto, but I don't think Canelo's stock will plummet. It may take a slight hit, but Canelo is the new Golden Boy of boxing. He will fight the Best, lose some, but also win some Great bouts.
I still wanna know why Floyd did not fight the winner of Williams/Margarito, but for beating Manny he should get credit but go back too 2007 - 2009 there some fight he did not fight
I agree 100%, but only Money May knows why he ''missed'' those worthy fights, or even retired after the Oscar fight the way he did. I'm a firm believer that he could've wiped out some of the opportunities Manolo(Pacquiao) capitalized on. I still think its disrespectful not to recognize him as one of the GOAT, just as its disrespectful to shade Pacquiao.
Pardon me for the non boxing reference, but that meme of yours is Great!!! Mizz DR is BAD, but if you replace her with Cyn Santana, that might be the greatest pic Ever tooken featuring women of Dominican heritage.
I personally know Breadman as well as Haymon managed fighters JROCK & Shut It Down Davis. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion, but I will say this. A lot of weak fighters are hiding behind Haymon, he will match you tough. Haymon will give you what You want. I can name plenty Haymon fighters that have took the tough road. For a prospect (now a contender), JRock is one of the fighters who took the tougher road
I really don't understand the shade Malignaggi throws at Manolo Pacquiao. Paulie has good eyes, & is one of my favorite TV personalities, he's Wrong when he opens his mouth about Manolo. Paulie is very fortunate to have made the money he has in this Great sport, despite his losses & lack of elite talent.
Critics will always find a way to discredit Money May. Manolo Pacquiao is my Guy. yes Money missed some fighters. Yes Money May retired when his division was Hot, probably could've prevented Monolo's legacy from being as Pgreat as it is. Yes Money May is at times a walking contradiction. The man is still a Great fighter & it's sickening the way some try to discredit the Canelo's victory, but that was a Great win.
I salute Anyone that won +500 on Jack. I thought about it, but didn't bite. Badu Jack put on a Great performance, I'm hoping BY BY defies the odds tonight so I'll win the 18 to 1 odds
Roach does talk far too much like SR. Good Coaches, but their mouth can be a turn off(Pause). Its a shame because Manolo Pac is such a humble fighter...
Who is that girl with the Wutang tattoo?
Walters is a beast. He's phyiscally big and super strong for his weight class, so If Rigo moves up to 126 and takes on Walters Rigo gets knocked out. Loma would get stopped too...It's all about Walters.
I agree with Walters Strength assessment. One of the strongest fighters in that divisions history. I still think Rigo would edge him, but I hope we get a chance to see this fight
I Love technical breakdown of fights. Its like technical analysis, or chart reading, of a particular stock.
Uploaded did a Great job. I'm a huge Canelo fan. Dude has a true "line em up" attitude. I don't understand why people think he will dominate Cotto so easy tho. I favor Canelo, but Cotto is Special. I love the work Wild Card gym has done to reestablish some of the techniques he done during his 140 pound rein.I really need to see more tape before I pick a clear winner for Cotto-Canelo. Canelo didn't look too good in his camp for the Lara fight. The fact he was able to get the decision in the technically sound Lara after such a **** camp, speaks volumes to Canelo's potential. This long layoff has to be a negative on Canelo as well. Especially if they fight on the reported September date
If we look at the landscape I have no issue with Khan being in the running for a Money May fight. May-Pac(believe it when I see it), May-Garcia(doesn't seem like DSG wants that fight yet although he may be most deserving, May-Thurman(I would Love to see it, but Khan is more deserving than Thurman). We have to wait & see, but I expect Khan to get a big fight in 2015, rather its with Money May or not
I like Vanes. Look forward to seeing him in action... I'll match bets on JRock vs the division. I like the way he's progressing, & think he's ready for Anyone at 154. We will see
Algieri has a lot of heart but I don't think he would be able to hold Maidana off, especially with him being hungry for a win having lost 2 fights in a row the first time in his career
Algieri wont get his respect enough to hold him off
Why do people credit Algieri with heart? I saw a fighter who flopped & ran for the majority of the fight. The man got the opportunity of his life & didnt even step into a damn jab.
This is no disrespect to you. HBO even eluded to his heart & I was thinking maybe in previous fights, but vs PAC he wet the bed
So let me get this straight....Brook is half black/half white, talks trash, is not a face first brawler and is British and the population of NSB don't like him..........noooooooo
He's ****ing class, the fact you try to suggest Khan is better and has earned more than him by fighting at 140 for years not even being the top dog and beating two journeymen in Collazo and Alexander shows your love for Khan and your obvious agenda.
Khan is not elite and never will be, Brook has a chance against Pac and MAy not Khan.
I respectfully disagree with your boxing assessment of Khan. I would like to see Khan-Brook get made. Khan is not consistent in his reason for a major class btwn them to get signed. The bad blood is there, & they had a "heated" interview on BoxNation. It would be a good fight syle wise. To say its easy either way is foolish.
I agree with the OP & everyone else, but the problem is getting a Top 10 fighter to sign on to a Thurman fight.
Much respect to Kell Brook, but most fans have short term memory. His win over Porter was impressive, but are we forgetting he pulled out of a fight with Devon Alexander multiple times because of "injury"
One Time has called out Maidana on numerous occasions. Maidana is a tough SOB, but he clearly "avoided" Thurman. Maybe we can say he felt bigger fights coming. I have no issue with his avoidance, if he knew the fight with Money May was coming. Find that hard to believe though. Golden Boy offered Thurman to Team Maidana after his loss to Devon Alexander. Team Maidana rebuttled with a not so fast, they wanted a tuneup.
I have little doubt Shawn Porter wouldn't take the fight, I just think Al Haymon would advise him not to take that bout yet. Porter probably would rematch Brooks before a Thurman showdown took place.
Hopefully 2015 produce some willing top 10 comp for Thurman. Maybe his "lackluster" (I thought he put on a Beautiful boxing expedition, but some idiots booed) performance vs Bundu will send a few ducks floating his way. I'd like a Thurman vs Timothy Bradley bout, if Haymon & Arum can put differences to the side for the fans & money. I'd also like Khan-Thurman, but thats Highly unlikely because King Khan wan wants Money May or Manolo PAC Now!!!
I
Brook is a good solid fighter who will absolutely have the opportunity to improve resume, I don't know if he will. I like Brook. I think some of us fans have short term memory. Brooks pulled out of the fight with Devon Alexander multiple times.
I think Brooks gives Khan some trouble, but I'd favor Khan. I like Shawn Porter. He comes from a good team. He fought a horrendous fight though. He got caught in the hype after the Malignaggi destruction. He didn't take his time & apply his technical abilities to the fight. I don't want to take away from Brooks, as his gaameplan very well threw Porter off track. Porter abandoned the jab. Reason I was so impressed with Thurman's clinic over Bundu was because he didn't force the KO, he used effective aggression.
If Brook doesn't get a Khan fight in 2015, I'd like to see him in vs Bradley, Maidana, Thurman, or possibly a Porter rematch
His whole career Canelo has looked suspect against fighters of color, gift vs Tyner, Flat out quit vs Mayweather and 2 arguable l's to Trout and Lara.......Canelo has to prove otherwise to me, but his career tape proves he's average, he gets dented at 154 by the up and coming black fighters that roam; he'll hide in between 154 and 160 to avoid challenges though
The Tyner fight happened when he was 19. Tyner also had the experience of fighting the likes of Lamont Peterson.
Mayweather is Special. Canelo should've came to fight, but he wasn't ready. I'm actually impressed he had enough confidence in himself to fight a technically sound fighter like Lara, after the Mayweather lackluster performance.
Lara changed his whole game plan after a massive body shot in what I think was the 4th or 5th round. I like Lara, but he didn't do enough to take that fight.
I see Canelo as a special fighter. He has correctable weaknesses I hope his team can pick up on. I've made the suggestion it might be time for Canelo to look into a new corner. The Reynoso's are a knowledgeable boxing family, but I worry if Canelo is "listening" to them. Canelo camp stories are horrendous at times. Nevertheless when I see Canelo, my eyes show me a calm intensifying fighter with a good combination of power, strength, intelligence, & ring generalship...
Not true, Mayweather took it to Canelo, he was up in his shyt and had the ring cut off on him before the first bell even rung.....he beat him into the fetal position, I no longer take him as a elite level fighter, Cotto dismantles him, plus guys like the Charlo's Canelo wants no part of.................
I like Jermell Charlo, but I feel he will get clipped & sparked by Canelo. No disrepect to your opinion though
Julian JRock Williams. I don't want to be biased. If/when this fight gets made I'm matching bets.
At 160 I'd take GGG, but its a lot closer than I think most people give him credit for.
Canelo had a **** camp vs Lara. Im favoring him now if he fights Cotto, but he must have a more focused camp. This long layoff is a disadvantage as well, especially if they fight in September as it was reported. Canelo is a very Good fighter. I was impressed he was able to pull out the victory over a technically sound Lara after all the stories from his camp. I Love Canelo's "line em up "attitude as well. I've been thinking maybe a corner change would pay dividends for his career. No disrespect to his trainer, he's very knowledgeable, but I worry if he has Canelo's complete respect.
Salute Canelo!!! A true people's Champion
Good stuff, I don't know much about J. Rock but he certainly does look like a strong prospect. And someone who WOULD sit in the pocket with Canelo. Sort of like El Perro did, although that didn't work out to well for him..
Green K for not coming with the same tired answers.
Thank You Sir!!! JRock is the Truth!!! I don't want to talk about him too much on Canelo page, but definitely pay attention. He's also mature, & has the same focus & dedication of BHOP. I'm not exaggerating either. He wakes up 5AM, no drinking or smoking, just live the sport of boxing. I hope the fame doesn't distract him because I have no doubt its coming Soon!!!
I gained more respect for Brook with the Porter fight. For whatever reason, Brook was always pulling out of Big fights. I was turned off after he pulled out of the Devon Alexander fight in 2013.
I take Canelo by 11th rd TKO. Brook isn't feather fisted, but I don't see him bothering Canelo. Canelo will out muscle him if Brook tried to maul, & wear him down with body shots. The Shawn Porter fight is a little misleading for some fans though, because outside of that fight he wasn't much of a mauler. Canelo is just too much, in my opinion.
I don't it happens because I don't see Brook going to 154, & Canelo may be in route to 160 soon. 154 looks like a struggle for Canelo
Khan hasthe skills to give Money May a tough fight, but sorry I see Mayweather with the edge of 55/45. However, if the Vegas Greybeards decide to have Money May open at a 2 to 1 favorite, I'm placing a wager on King Khan
I like both bouts, but I voted for the Maidana rematch. I've heard Pops(Broner's dad) go as far as to say the Broner-Matthysse bout should only be made on PPV. Not so fast Pop's, AB is super exciting in the ring, but I dont think he's done enough to headline a PPV( I'm likely gonna buy the PPV anyway because I'm a junkie). Matthysse is a player at 140 & his power is amazing, but movement has always troubled him. AB doesn't display the best footwork so things can get interesting. I believe AB had a rematch clause, but took the step aside money for "Big Bro"(Mayweather). In that sense I see no issue in Maidana honoring that.
We may get either bout later this year, but unfortunately I don't think its coming next. AB has been talking about a March return, & I see his team still capitalizing on the Cincinnati market by putting Broner vs Mayfield there.
