Some good fights to be made in these divisions right now.
I don't think anyone is in a rush to face Rigo at 122 which is a shame.
Quigg Vs Frampton is a big fight in the division but the whole 'TV network: SKY vs ITV' argument looks like it may put a halt to things.
Donaire looks like he may be back in the mix at 122, and I noticed that Eddie Hearn had tweeted Donaire after his win this weekend. Maybe there is a chance we see Rigo Vs Frampton and Quigg Vs Donaire as opposed to the Quigg Vs Frampton fight that has been often talked up.
Kiko Martinez is always fun to watch also. Maybe he could take another trip over to the UK and face Kid Galahad, (who wants to step up a level) to try put himself back into contention.
126 is looking pretty deep also right now. Russell Jr has put himself up there with his win this weekend. There's 2 other top quality champs in Lomachenko and Walters.
Lee Selby fights soon against Gradovich for his title. Then there is the possibility of a Santa Cruz Vs Mares showdown. If the fighters want to unify..then there is some interesting fights to be made there
What was the weight difference between Salido and Lomachenko? Anyone knows?
11 lbs I believe...possibly as much as 15lb. I know Salido came in at 147 on the night but cant remember Loma's weight, if I recall he was 136.
Rigo should of went and tried to fight Jhonny Gonzalez and win a belt at 126 and drop back down to 122. 126 division are full of lightweight fighters hiding and weight draining their lives away to get any physical advantages over fighters that belong in that weight.
Lots of fights to make and to me the kingpins of 122 and 126 are Rigo and Walters.
Walters is a beast. He's phyiscally big and super strong for his weight class, so If Rigo moves up to 126 and takes on Walters Rigo gets knocked out. Loma would get stopped too...It's all about Walters.
I agree with Walters Strength assessment. One of the strongest fighters in that divisions history. I still think Rigo would edge him, but I hope we get a chance to see this fight
Reading comprehension is fine, thank you. The wording you selected made it out to be as if Rigondeaux "made it a fight". :lol1: What does that imply? Tell me. He didn't "make it a fight" his opponents did by catching the "defensive God" and knocking him on his ass.
JMM doesn't "make fights" by getting knocked down, he gets caught and is forced to rally back because of his previous vulnerability. Yet you sit there and act as if Rigo's flaw was a voluntary act to "make it a fight". Then you proceed by saying, "damned if you do, damned if you don't", again.. reinforcing your argument as if Rigondeaux was intentionally getting KD to provide excitement.
Btw, "Jap" isn't too kind to use. :)So when he was down, he was covering and using his defensive skills or he was on the offensive?
ps. you are right, nippon
You most be a kid or you comprehension is very low, he is not choosing to go down but taking more risk could be the cause for getting caught, by the way getting knock down only served for waking him up because after that he really put a beating on the jap...

:lol1: So he chooses to go down to make a fight? HE MAKES IT A FIGHT? :lol1: He gets caught by lesser men and dropped but dw, it's all part of the plan...
and then you claim he would school Loma and Walters! only if they were in the same division...
thanks for the laugh :)You most be a kid or you comprehension is very low, he is not choosing to go down but taking more risk could be the cause for getting caught, by the way getting knock down only served for waking him up because after that he really put a beating on the jap...
so he is making a fight and now he is a bum, dammed if you do dammed if you don't, Rigondeaux will kick the $h1t out of loma and walters if they were in the same division, the donaire that fought walters was a smal pathetic version of the one GR fought, and he almost knock the guy out, ydksab...

Rigo is getting hit cleanly and dropped by rickshaw drivers and masa rollers, Walters and Loma would kill him.so he is making a fight and now he is a bum, dammed if you do dammed if you don't, Rigondeaux will kick the $h1t out of loma and walters if they were in the same division, the donaire that fought walters was a smal pathetic version of the one GR fought, and he almost knock the guy out, ydksab...
Recall the old days when Zarate moved up to fight Gomez and Gomez moved up to fight Sanchez...... Or recently when JM Marquez moved up 2 divisions to fight Floyd who didn't weaken himself to make welter?remember when zarate got ktfo by gomez because he was too small, or when gomez went up and got ktfo by sanches because again he was too small, I also remember when zamora challenged zarate for bragging rights at 122, cruz vs. gomez, pintor vs gomez, sanchez vs nelson, all those great fights at their natural weight, what I get from your post and the one above is that you guys want to see Rigondeaux loss no matter what, just like some "fans" want it to see fraud loss against anyone, the bigger the better, Rigondeaux can fight at 115 if he choose too, he is 34 and his natural growing stop years ago, he is at his maximum weight and only weights 125-26 pounds the night of the fight, be a real fan because the only chickens are st+ and mares, well you could throw quigg and framptom there too, I think the whole division is running from GR...
Only time will tell....Let's make Loma vs Walters and see what happens. My prediction is Walters by KO/TKO
Would you pick Rigo to beat Walters?
Tough to say...Rigo has shown he can be hurt at a lower weight so a banger like Walters could definitely potentially KO him. If Rigo boxes perfectly and doesn't get into exchanges with Walters, he could outpoint him with his superior skills...but Walters is a big featherweight so Rigo would definitely have his hands full. Styles make fights, he'd probably have a better shot v Loma in a straight up pure boxing match.
Hopefully we get the Walters-Loma fight though and we will see who predicted right bro aha :boxing:
122 is deep aswell , top 10 is full of undefeated fighters, some super 6 or 8 would be really be great, cant wait til my boy albert pagara make some noise

Yeap.. Light Featherweight and Featherweight are two of the best or at least two of my favourite right now.
Many interesting matchups that can be made. I have Rigo as king of 122 and Loma at 126.
Loma will school Walters like he did to Russell. He took Salido punches and he would take Walter's too no problem..
If Loma took a welterweight's punches with no problem, I think he can do the same with Walters. Considering the fact Loma has the superior movement and boxing skills, Walters will simply not be able to land the kind of shots like he did on Donaire for example, who got too sloppy and decided to fight toe to toe. I'm willing to bet with anyone that Loma doesn't get stopped by anyone in the 126 pound division...the guy has a very good chin.

Rigo and Walters are the 2 best at those weights but Rigo the chicken is too busy fighting and calling out little guys that he knows he can beat.
