My friend, a soldier, 8 years in the judo national team, went to train for the special forces (was sent to Israel) told me the worst thing he has encountered was a trained boxer.
Who is more likely to be able to beat a prime Jon Jones in a street fight Ali or Mike Tyson ?

With MMA I think people forget its also a restricted, modified rule set and frankly a lot of it very rarely works in a Street fight or is flat out dangerous. Chances are you're not going to risk blowing a knee out shooting for a double leg (which even vs an unskilled bum requires setting up and shooting from the correct distance) or pulling guard on concrete. Not to say it can't be done but a lot is extremely risky outside of a cage. There is also no cage to use to your advantage in a Street fight plus its a hell of a lot harder to take anyone down when they're wearing shoes or trainers.
A lot will mention leg kicks - sure they hurt once the adrenaline wears off but you're highly unlikely to end a fight with one or two leg kicks.
Every fight starts standing and 99% start with a punch or a push.Comment

Boxing is kryptonite too many styles of martial arts and has proven it can be successful against any, MMA included.
We have seen countless videos of boxers in Street fights - I can't think of one time any lost outside of some modified rule set which isn't really a Street fight.
We've seen countless ranked MMA fighters get smashed to bits in the Street by regular dudes and not so good fighters though.Comment

In The Carl Froch's immortal words, "We can all pull about a bit, have a bit of a pull and a push"
We can all do it, mate. You don't need to be JJ or a BJJ black belt to have a bit of a pull and a push.Comment

I don't know why people have this idea that boxers have any kind of advantage "on da streetz". They don't. They're in fact at a massive disadvantage in any other scenario than a boxing ring under boxing rules.Comment

You could beat a Brazilian Ju Jitsu Black belt in a street fight? You actually believe it too.
Comical, honestly. If that story is in any way true, then your friend is either having mercy on you and allowing you live this delusion you're living in or he's not what you described.
Let me fill you in on a little secret, anyone with no grappling or wrestling experience get's a limb of choice removed within minutes by any blue belt, much less black belt.
As for Mike Tyson, he's a boxer. His chances of beating any capable MMA fighter in a "street fight" in or around his weight class is as close to 0% as it gets. Let alone Jon Jones who would have almost every advantage on him there is outside of obviously boxing.
He's just a regular JJ black belt though. Maybe if he had a Brazilian as well it would have been a different story?
Or maybe you are talking nonsense here.
