I followed the build up to Wlad vs Chagaev in the UK press and Sky sports. I watched it using an awesome (illegal) TV box that could pick up every televised sports event in the world, for free. None of the coverage I saw or read said anything about it being a lineal title fight. I didn't get into this...

It wasn't. I remember that fight happening and I never heard a word about it being a lineal title fight till years later.
But here's the thing ... neither Wlad nor Chagaev entered the ring as lineal champ and neither of them were ever undisputed champ. So who decided it was going to be...Last edited by kafkod; Today, 02:26 PM.

Are you just going to ignore the fact that Doherty caused that fracas by grabbing Ball in a side headlock and keeping it locked on for about 3 seconds after the bell? Also, the fact that Doherty was standing between the ref and Ball when the kick happened, so the ref wouldn't have been able to see it?...

There was nothing corrupt about it. The ref wouldn't have been able to see Ball kick Doherty and probably thought he had just shoved him in retaliation for being put in a side headlock after the bell. It wasn't a hard kick, more a display of anger than an attempt to hurt or injure. At...
