Who is more likely to be able to beat a prime Jon Jones in a street fight Ali or Mike Tyson ?

Your whole condescending tone towards MMA ("greats""punching" etc) makes it clear you're one of those boxing fans thats always gonna be stubbornly set in your ways about it. It is what it isComment

Jones, GSP, Fedor and Anderson are generally considered to be the Mt Rushmore. They all had long dominant runs at a high level and are considered the best ever at their weight. Then you have guys like Khabib, Aldo and DJ who some might throw in the mix with them.
As far as active ATGs - Jon, Aldo, Adesanya, Usman, Volk, Ngannou are all around but in the twilight of their careers. Holloway isnt too old but he has a lot of mileage and just got knocked out for the first time ever so its hard to say what stage of his career hes at now. Then theres guys on the verge of ATG status like Islam, Topuria and Merab, maybe Khamzat if he can stay healthy and be more active.
Lastly, Alex Pereira, who fights next week. He was arguably the greatest kickboxer ever at his weight, then switched to MMA a few years ago and was fast tracked because of his history with the UFC champ at his weight at the time Adesanya (who he beat in kickboxing twice back in the day), he then took the UFC belt off him too, later moved up a weight class and took the belt there, and is now probably the biggest actual active full time star in MMA. I wouldnt say hes quite at ATG status purely in MMA yet, but he definitely is if you look at him as an overall combat sport athlete considering hes had massive success in two different sports. On paper next week is probably his toughest fight yet in MMA though, the guy hes fighting is the bogeyman who people claim the UFC was protecting him from.Comment

How many MMA guys have been in movie roles, involved with stuff like the WWE etc at this point? granted Usyk has a movie role coming up too... playing MMA fighter igor Vovchachyn LOL. He also has recently talked about potentially doing a crossover fight with Pereira. Ngannou walked straight into a boxing match with Fury and AJ. Canelo sat in his locker room for an extra hour so his own crowd could watch Nate/Jorge. The biggest drawing boxing match of the last almost decade now is Floyd vs Conor. But yeah nobody knows these guys...
The funny thing is as a fan of both I see the exact same **** slinging going in the other direction. Do you realise how many MMA casuals there are out there going "Jake Paul is the face of boxing" "boxing needs Youtubers and MMA fighters to generate interest" "the biggest boxing match of the year is a Youtuber vs 60 year old Mike Tyson" etc etc nowadays?
Anyway, I gave you a serious answer to your ATGs question, giving you the benefit of the doubt that you might have actually genuinely wanted to learn. But whatever lol.Comment

When you mention MMA guys being in movies...
Are they "4th henchman from the left (non speaking role)" ?
Throwing out names and expecting them to be household names is not how it works.
Unless you live in an octagon.Comment

I think you are overestimating their notoriety

Again, imagine being a boxing fan and trying to argue with the MMA fan equivalent of you - do you think they consider Tank, Crawford, Inoue, Beterbiev, Bivol etc to be stars? many of them have no idea who those guys are.Comment
