It isnt my thread, and i'm not emotionally invested at all, i'm just someone who watches both sports and has trained in multiple combat sports so have a ****ing clue what i'm talking about. I actually think boxing is harder on the body and more difficult overall, and has plenty of guys who would have had raw potential in MMA IF THEY HAD TRAINED FOR IT. But the reality is the MMA fighters train for a sport that from the outset was designed to prove who the best fighters in the world are in the literal sense that they have to be equipped to deal with every other form of combat in that arena, while boxing is among the most limited of combat sports . Again, its just common sense who is going to have the advantage in most situations.
As for the weight thing, again, Jon Jones competed in the 205lb weight limit division, and was massive for the division, the guys that compete in the division below (185lbs) usually weigh over 200lbs, even some of the guys competing at 170lb weigh around the 200lb mark. So no, Jon was never 200lbs. Like I said, 225 at the lowest. He is not a small man, only reason hes ever looked "skinny" is because hes 6'4 with literal Tyson Fury reach. By all accounts he is strong as **** as well.
