- - Wlad and Vit ducked by Lewie best comp both finished with superior records, most especially Wlad. Neither was ever one punched into submission like Lewie was twice. Neither retired days before getting stripped of their titles.
I could go on, but best you stick to training threads and such where you might have some authority.Comment

You're too much dude. Get em' All goin'....sometimes me too!. Lewis did his thing, got out on time. In his final performance he smashed Vitali of the following gen to hamburger meat. Wlad tried to go out like that too, but got dominated by Fury and retired without his title. Got a different take on any of that? An alternate history?Comment

What I've always noticed on this site is the following:
-Boxing Historians are held in high regard.
-If said historians actually go against popular opinion then their credibility is questioned if not downright insulted. All of a sudden they should be held with a grain of salt, when before that they were used as fuel in arguments about popular opinions.
It's a snobbish club in the world of boxing history. It's like they don't want boxing history to do what it does best: make history. The book is closed for them. No more room for future greats. Time stands still.
Fury is certainly great in his era, and thats all that counts. he's standing above whats around him and the factors in his life time. This is the only way to judge someone.
In this sense, Fury might be more famous than Lewis - he's got a hell of a TV personality, downright hilarious and that champions confidence (which all greats have had, by the way - we just haven't seen it in forever).Comment
