  • I understand. I think that A.J. did some very, very fine work in his career. The disparaging remarks regarding his losses come strictly from weaklings who have never boxed.

Would I bet my life on him should he and Wilder hook up in 2024 to settle the issue as to who is better?

  • These are the fights in which the 7 best Heavyweights of the 2015 -2023 era have met, in chronological order, to frame the era for you and other fans. The list should be twice as big. Failure to meet the best is a massive problem.

    Try being polite if possible....

  • Both. Ortiz won the 2005 World Cup in Moscow.
Zhang medaled in three seperate World championships.

Two of the Very Best Heavyweights to come down the pike this decade.

    Guys.....really now....

  • You like Anthony Joshua better than Wilder or Fury. I get that, and I approve of all fighters having a solid base of staunch supporters.
Far be it from me to try talking anyone out of supporting a fighter, given the many, many old fighters Ive been honored to spend some time with and the impactthis...

  • Guaranteed. Armchair critics say the damdest things.

How about a laboratory test of what "Bums" all these ranked heavyweights are under MOQ rules?

Let's put it to the test.......

Take the best MMA fighter in the world. Choose one who started as a boxer...

  • Joshua was MORE than a contender...He was a world title claimant just like Wilder and Fury. But he started losing on his way to the Champions Ball. You know all this.

The duck stuff? You'd literally had to have participated in all those negotiations to know that, and take it beyond...

  • "The circle" consisted of Fury and Wilder and should have included A.J., but for all those losses, he couldn'tcome out and play with the other champs. Oh, to be clear, it ended with Fury taking all the belts off of Wladdy via UD. Fury never lost em'. Anything else, let me know....

  • Klitschko, Whyte, Ortiz are three more top tier contenders who snuck into the circle. Joshua was invited, but kept stumbling against guys on the same level of the aforementioned three. His limitations prevented his participation in what we had hoped would be a thorough round-robin of the one-time "Three...

  • The WBC is completely behind Tyson Fury.

    • He ended the Klitschko era via comprehensively outfighting the former champion.

    • He has won ALL of the major sanctioning body belts which no one has been able to do since Lennox Lewis, and he has never lost them.

  • I think what Zhang deserves is a TITLE SHOT.

NOT another ultra tough fight against yet another top 6 guy.

Fury got a shot, Wilder got a shot, Joshua got a shot, Usyk got a shot, Ruiz got a shot and a slew of lesser heavyweights got a shot in the past 7-8 years, and I can think...

  • Good thoughts.
Klitschko is the central character from the previous era - his. His inclusion should not reflect poorly on him, obviously. In listing (what I feel is) a top 7, I might have instead used Parker, Joyce, Povetkin, Whyte, Zhang or any number, but even in the era distinctly outside...
