Why the big mad rush to establish the deserved parties in re-establishing the line? There are no solid, always followed "rules" about this, like the WBA has (you'll note what I did there), but there is Precident (Such as what guides legal decisions).

Great thread, great find from the N.Q. Register to post up travestyny! Salient points for balance Bronson66.
Decades spent in newspaper archives, the article seems familiar to me. Could it have been reprinted in a contemporary 1920's issue of Boxing World and Mirror of Life?...

Washington state's Freddie Steele.
Sure, he's a Hall of Famer and the geeks do pay homage; but when invested fans rattle off their list of great Middleweight Champions he is seldom mentioned, which is a shame.
Indeed, Steele was arguably the greatest fighter-athlete ever.

Getting this thread back on track;
I made a thread about Leonard Morrow, the "California Kid" a few years back. He was one of those super hot/super cold fighters (Bob Satterfield, Jimmy Young).
He deserves another mention.
A pedestrian 30-8-1 mark....which included...billeau2 likes this.
