While I am biased as a Mosley fan I am not dillusional. Mosley is 38 years young coming off a 15 month lay off by the time May rolls around. I have to say Floyd is the favorite in this bout. i do however think Mosley is live in the fight and will test Floyd in every way possible. Mosley's game plan and footwork will be life or deatha nd determine the fight. he has comparable hand speed and the edge in power IMO. So as long as he can cut off the ring and throw in combinations while mixing it up to the head and body he is a LIVE DAWG....But like I said I am not BURNER and dillusional the way he is about Paul Williams I see this fight being very competitive for the first half of the fight and then FLoyd pulling away in the last 3 or 4 rounds 8-4 Floyd....Lefty

Up to about a month back I always knew Chavez Sr. was an ATG. I've seen him fight and acknowledged that he was good. It wasn't until recently that I actually began to study him and realized how good he actually was. I can't believe I called him a slugger for so long. The man was an amazing boxer puncher with emphasis on boxer. In my opinion just because he didn't fit whatever mold a boxer should be he's not given the credit of how good his boxing really was. Sure he punched to kill but everything was so precise. His balance was perfect, punch selection perfect; he could win from the outside, mid-range or inside. Today he became one of my favorite boxers of all time. Mind you, I already knew he was ATG status and have seen his fights plenty of times before I just decided to actually study how he applies his craft.
Is there anyone else you guys may feel the same way about and had an "enlightened" moment of?

hatton is also a better body puncher than de la hoya.
de la hoya didnt put too much into going to the body with mayweather but hatton will...and if cotto beats mosley and fights mayweather next he will do that as well.
when a fighter is quick and fast you go to the body to slow him down and if hatton (and his trainers are smart) they will figure that out and go in with that game plan.
as i said in another thread...
look for hatton to feint a lead right hand (to catch mayweather off guard since he keeps his hand low) and then look for hatton to bang a huge left hooks to the body.
he will do this to slow down mayweather and get him very cautious about leaving it open to punishment...thats when hatton can focus on mayweather's chin.
hatton (in my opinion) will use his youth to his advantage and keep the pressure on mayweather for the whole 12 rounds...always coming forwards stalking him...going to the body (to slow down mayweather) and then (in the late rounds) will work on his chin. thats how i see hatton fighting.

De La Hoya was never a notorious power puncher though, 20lbs heavier or not. He destroyed his opponets with his volume of punches, not his power.
I agree with you that Hatton's chances aren't that good, but are you saying that it's impossible for Hatton to pull an upset? I'd peacefully disagree with that because nothing is impossible in this sport, upsets happen all the time.

listen guy just because (in your oppinion and I respect it) Wlad klitschko can't hang with the all-time greats doesn't mean he is overrated. He is fighting the best that the heavyweight division has to offer right now....period.
I used to criticize him for never trying to avenge his losses against sanders and brewster and just moving on like he never lost but now he finally decided to get some revenge and I respect him for it. I know it's not the best time and some think brewster is over the hill but still.....brewster at his best still was getting owned by Wlad up until that one round when wlad just ran out of gas. Who's to say that it would make a diffrence whether brewster is at his best or not.
