Floyd calling out opponents means NOTHING!!! Floyd was at what division and Oscar and Mosley was at what division from 2002 thru 2006?
See, means NOTHING?
You want MORE PROOF?
"Manny you are NEXT! ..... then .... I NEVER said that Manny is next, stop putting words in my mouth"
so when Floyd said he would move up 2 divisions too fight de la hoya and mosley it means nothing. but Martinez calling out Floyd who is 2 weight classes smaller means something? in 06 Floyd and shane were both welterweights. mosley was offered the fight and he turned it down. saying he was going on vacation. that's not Floyd's fault. and I was responding to the poster talking about fighters caliing fighters out
He'll be thinking Sergio until he brutalizes Cotto then it'll be back to excuses not to fight Pac and another overmatched opponent.
I was thinking the same thing. If Sergio looks bad/injured against Cotto, then FMJ would fight him and go "See? We fought the guy!", but he sure as hell ducked the hell out of him when Sergio was in his prime and would have murdered his ass. That's Money's idea of being an ATG boxer.
Sergio has been on a noticeable decline. After a string of injuries and inactivity, I'll be surprised if he gets past Cotto impressively. Fight should have happened back when Sergio wanted to drop to 150 for Floyd and Pac
A lot of Floyd's past and present opponents had to just beat 1 hyped up fighter and it was enough to sign the contract.
- Hatton - Barely beat Collazo. Realized wasn't a 147 fighter so he dropeed down for 2 fights but couldn't resist taking on Floyd at 147
- Marquez - never fought at WW
- Ortiz and Guerrero - Berto had a weak resume but that was enough and funnier that people but that hype TWICE!!!
- Maidana - replace Berto with Broner who was fighting at 130 the previous year and would have lost to Paulie if Paulie had any kind of power and we saw that Paulie got destroyed last week by Porter.
Khan was also on the list of cherry pickings and again, never fought at the 147 limit.
So if one is objective, it's as clear as daylight what is going on.
It's definitely cherrypicking, and those guys are coming off of big wins, but most of those guys had already been calling out Floyd for a while, and once they got their big win or were already on a good streak, they got to fight him. On a side note, I still think Hatton lost to Collazo but that's neither here nor there; fact is that Floyd has more options than Maidana-Khan. I'd rather see him against Manny, Lara, Bradley, Thurman (once he improves his defense a little), Sergio Martinez or Shawn Porter.
I didn't? Show me where I said "I don't know what the ring title is" verbatim. You're a Mayweather groupie. A grown ass man with a photoshoot of a dude in your signature. ****in fruitcake so far up Floyd's ass you have no opinion.
:rofl::rofl:
Yes, he definitely ducked him. I would've given him credit as well, but the ones who have this extreme amount of hatred towards him wouldn't. As for Manny though, it was definitely weird that Floyd thought about vacating that WBC belt, but it's also weird that Manny was even mandatory despite losing to Bradley (on record) and Marquez, not fighting for a year, and then beating a blown up LWW coming off of a loss to Alvarado.

.
Manny was supposedly Floyd's mandatory. Floyd didn't fight him.
If Floyd fought Sergio at 154 everyone would have given him credit including myself. Sergio presented risk. Many people would have favored Sergio or call it even ...... but a least you agree that Floyd ducked Sergio when it counted.

Man you didnt even know What the Ring title was so don't try to post like you know what you are talking about

Yeah, but he's not showing noticeable signs of declining where as Sergio and Manny are. Doesn't matter if he 97.

I'd disagreed when you said Floyd waits 5 years for someone to lose a step, but I do agree, now that I see your other post, that he could've and should've fought Sergio Martinez. Sergio offered this dude 80-20 at a cw of 150 and Floyd still didn't take it, although if Floyd were to win, some people would say Martinez was over the hill and drained 10 pounds, Floyd's greedy, etc. I don't like him fighting Maidana either, especially since he has more options than just Khan-Maidana. He fought RG because RG was his mandatory defense so he didn't have a choice. Lara is now Floyd's mandatory for one of his 154 belts, so Floyd better fight him after Canelo loses.

Good enough! :lol1:
but
I explained more in the post above. Explain why you disagree? Makes for a better discussion. No?

Although I disagree with most of what you posted, your avatar is ****ing golden. :lol1:

Floyd only fights the ones we wanted him to fight 5+ years too late. It's like seeing Hopkins vs Jones Jr II.
To get the credit, you need to fight them when it counts. Not 5 years later!!! So stop blaming posters. If you want to blame, just blame Floyd. It's not like these guys were not calling out Floyd for 5+ years!
Although I disagree with most of what you posted, your avatar is ****ing golden. :lol1:
He sure would have gotten credit 3-5 years ago when those fights would have actually mattered though. LOL at the last ditch attempt of still being against Floyd/Sergio. Especially since Cotto who's no bigger than Floyd and not nearly as great is fighting him.
That's the thing. Floyd was able to fight 3 times at 154 yet didn't fight Sergio there. Why?
- Was it because Sergio didn't call Floyd out? No, he did it for 5+ years.
- Was it because Sergio didn't want to come down to 154? No, he even said he would do 150!
- Was it because Sergio was with Top Rank? No, Sergio is not with TR (Arum)
- Was it because he comes from Argentina and he will not make tons of money? No, Floyd is OK with fighting Maidana.
Sergio was moving up from 154 to 160 to get some fights but was a 154 fighter when he called out Floyd. Their excuse was that "Sergio doesn't bring in $100 million for Floyd (like Manny Pacquiao will)"
Yet Floyd doesn't fight Manny but doesn't mind fighting Maidana, Guerrero, .... who are not big attractions
.
did he diss white people or something ? seriously
Not just white people. He "dissed" all boxing fans by taking millions from them and hardly ever giving them the fights they wanted to see.
Even if Floyd fought Pacquiao, who just beat the #3 P4P fighter, he's not going to get credit from these douche bags on here.
Same with Sergio even if he comes out and looks great in June.
Floyd shouldn't fight Sergio though. He's not a Middleweight and Sergio is nearly 20 lbs bigger.
He sure would have gotten credit 3-5 years ago when those fights would have actually mattered though. LOL at the last ditch attempt of still being against Floyd/Sergio. Especially since Cotto who's no bigger than Floyd and not nearly as great is fighting him.
As if Floyd cares about ur stupidity.
We know that Floyd doesn't care but then Floyd and his fans shouldn't be protecting his dumb moves.
Taking on a guy 5 years to late is ...... 5 years too late! What's stupid about saying the truth? You have nothing to come back with except dumb comments. At least if you had something. You have NOTHING!
