I see alot of threads about how Mayweather hasn't fought a true ww, I think he's fought 2 but who's counting. My question is simply this, Pac might not be a true ww but I would consider him the best ww right now and I'd give Mayweather nothing but respect for stopping or just outboxing him for 12 rounds. It seems to me that people are already setting up the whole "pac aint a real ww defense" so they can keep on hating on Floyd.
I think, at least based on how I view the fight going it WILL be a blowout of Floyd Mayweather over Pacquiao.. on the cards. I see Floyd boxing the shit out of Manny, look what he did to Marquez man he sparred the guy, that wasn't weight lets cut the bullshit man that was skills, Floyd beat Marquez due to skills, being able to avoid anything lethal and land his own clean shots in the process..
I used to ****in bash Floyd until he said what I wanted to hear, "It's not about money this time around, I'm back to fight the best out there, whoever wants to fight" and he's doing it, once he came back to a Marquez regardless of weight he made me a believer again, Floyd is back, his body needed that 2 year break and Manny will experience the same shit Cotto did against him and that's taking punches from awkward angles, being hit like he never has before and I just don't think that round by round he can hang with Floyd, he'll be there but unaffective trying but failing because of Floyd's superior movements. I'm going to bet on Floyd when that happens..
nope! this is another taylor made opponent he waited for. pacq followed the same pbf blueprint and suckered many into believing it. now both of the con men will profit from the publics naiveté.
skills pays the bills. pbf will cash in and hide again until u guys hype up another fighter to b the nxt pbf stopper.

Either they will hate Mayweather more or discredit Pac so they wont have to give credit to Mayweather.
Some already have it stuck in there head that no matter who, where, when and how he fights they will always discredit Mayweather and the guy he is fighting.
If Mayweather wins it's because Pac was a bum, or because Mayweather was the bigger man etc etc etc the list could go on. Anything other than giving credit towards Mayweather. It is how it is. That comes with territory when "acting" out the bad guy role..... some judge him for what he does outside the ring rather than what he does inside. Outside is acting and selling a fight, inside the ring is what he will be remembered for....
In the end both are GREAT and people will have to accept the fact that Mayweather is one of the GREATS of "our" time and if he does in fact beat Pac, nobody can argue the fact that he is. Nobody.
I just hope its a great fight and not a blow out like the JMM fight. I know Pacs better than that but look what people say AFTER the fact about JMM. Same will be said about Pac. Mayweather will again be called a "ducker" and PWILL (who's fighting at almost 160 should be the guy that would be picking on the smaller guy) will be mentioned over and over while Pacs name will no longer be referenced with Mayweather's ever again so that no credit could be given. So I say again I hope its at least competitive if not a GREAT fight. But that's just me....

If he dominates and wins by UD or KO. Yes, definitely. If it's a close SD, then probably not. I'd have to see a rematch...
even if floyd does blow him away haters will still find a way to downplay the victory. they'll throw in the "he beat a smaller guy" excuse but they forget that may and pac started boxing at 106 pounds. mayweather just happened to start his professional career at 130. so that reason wont make sense. plus given the fact pac went up against and completely demolished a legit welterweight im wondering what excuse people will give because pac hasnt lost in years and his last fights ended with no problems so the "he was damaged goods" or "its because he took such a beating in the last fight" excuse wont work either. oh yeah i forgot the ear excuse will be used
Forget about weights, Floyd did not start at 147, he started boxing at 126. It's not like Floyd has been this natural 147 pounder his entire career. Corrales, Manfredy, Hernandez, Gatti, DLH were all naturally bigger than Floyd.
He ain't blowing Pacquiao away. It's time we all understand that Pacquiao has improved a ton and actually has a right hand now. This Pacquiao doesn't move in a straight line, ain't one-handed anymore, has improved going backwards. This should be close enough that we'd probably get a rematch. To answer your question though, of course I would.
Respect for your knowledge of the game, not like other idiots.
If Mosley is the #1 ww then Pac beat the man who beat the man.
yeah, but pac has to beat mosley to be #1, I'm not gonna just give it to pac.
only if he KOs Pac? you a silly guy.
lemme rephrase that, if he KO's Pac I will be impressed. if he wins a close fight where there are no shenanigans, I will give him credit. if he stinks out the joint....
I'll give him credit, but he can't retire and act like he has nothing left to prove if he beats Pac.
He still has to beat other elite WW's to get Pac status.
Everything can't be about reaching Pacquiao's status. Mayweather doesn't have that kind of drive anymore. I'm almost certain that this isn't gonna happen.
Yes, given that all (cough cough) parties honor the stipulated weight, and everything else is "perfect"...No steroids, no loaded wraps, no kereoke (sp),no fifty, no roller skates, no excuses, no delusional fan discussions, no mark walberg, no Jeremy Piven, no Mosely attacks, etc...
:)
sorry there will be Karaoke.
pac is p4p king, but he isn't the best WW... that's mosley who should be #1.
I will give floyd credit if he KOs pac. if he stinks out the joint though...

I respect his skills now..
and as a pactard I will say that Mayweather is the best of this era..
I still wont like him and will still pay to watch his PPV hoping he will get knocked out..

Mayweather can adapt and be more accurate but Pacquiao will be more active; we already know how that works. Trust me, I'm 110% Mayweather isn't gonna make this look easy because it won't be. If Mayweather is able to, I have to give Mayweather all the credit in the world.
As Mayweather himself has said that's been most of his opponents gameplan since Castillo; apply pressure and be active but that's very hard when you can't land or get set to throw combos. Pac will have to fight the best fight of his life to beat Floyd and Floyd will have to do the same against Pac.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Mayweather will blow Pacquiao away easily, I think this should be as close a fight as you do, but If Floyd were to do what he does best which is figure Pac out and do all the right things to beat him without question then I'm worried people will just claim Floyd took another easy fight against a smaller fighter, which is clearly not the case.
