That may be true about him blowing between rounds but Tarver already proved that he is better than Glen... They fought three time already and Tarver won 2 of them... Tarver is just the better fighter of the two. Facts dont lie man.
Are you being for real when you say Glen can beat Tarver?:ugh:
yeah, it's a weird thing to argue about though because it will never happen.
I'm not convinced Tarver has a lot left in the tank at all.
He beat Woods because Woods shit himself basically.
Since i'm not British, i'll actaully be realistic. Bernard takes the fight over at the end, and wins a UD/SD.
so he realistically takes a split decision that infers that he might have lost. Excellent.
You sod i spilt my drink.
I was reading this post until you said Calzaghe had bad footwork!
WTF have you been watching?
he also said he wings his shots and sited in-fighting as a negative for Joey Cal.
But anyone who has watched Joe more than a little know that he loves fighting in the clinches. He's pretty dirty too. Nard has no advantage there in my opinion.
Calzaghe gets caught occassionally by long straight right hands, or at least he used to. He did a good job against Kessler and straight right hands are pretty much his bread and butter. Hops might be able to catch him more.......but thats the only reason he wins. He has to catch him.....alot.
yeah Hatton got merked.
He hardly did anything right. When he got inside close smothered his own work. Floyd done him.
I watched it again recently, the fight was competitive up until the sixth. Then he got smashed up.
I do think Hatton is better than that performance though, he is the top guy at 140 still, and that will become apparent of the coming year or so.
did you start a new poll because the original one made an awful mess of the word 'Official' ?
That shit was troubling me too. haha.
Calzaghe UD
8 rounds to 4.
I do think mind games play a factor in sport.
Mainly sports management.
That said a grown man should not be intimated or fucked up by what another says, it's fucking unlikely. It's a sport at the end of the day. Won and lost in the ring.
Mind games are important, they make press conferences interesting. In the case of JC and Hops it sells what most of us know will be a shocker of a fight.
Yes in fact he gets 2 wins for beating Big Show cause he weighs like 400 LBS.
Mayweather is going to get chokeslammed. It's going to happen. :nonono: ...I hope is doesn't

Kevin Mitchell should do something this year. Decent speed, power.
25-0 (18 KO's) 23 years old
Fighting Carl Johansson 27-3 (19 KO's) in his next fight.
He should be fighting on a decent level now because Frank has Amir as his cash cow, so we will see how good he is.
He was described once as the 'Wayne Rooney' of boxing.
If you don't know Wayne Rooney, he's a 'Soccer' player who burst on the scene at 16 and looked to be the greatest player ever if he improved but he hasn't THAT much.
How did Hopkins not get DQed or Echols? Echols did a lot more shit then Hopkins. Hopkins wanted to continue because of his pride. That really says something about him.
To be fair i've not finished watching it.
Just the bit when B-Hops Ktfo Echols smashing the back of his head.
That is pretty dangerous. He'd definetely have got disqualified over here.
he'll win because Hopkins doesn't throw enough punches, and Joe has too many adavantages over Hops. In speed, age, stamina, stregth (IMO).
Hops is a massive underdog anyway you dice it.
I think B-Hops can land a few good straight rights maybe, just maybe putting Joe on his arse. I mean Bika landed a few, just don't see it being enough to win the thing for Nard.
Joe is going to be the one making the fight and traditionally isn't that what American judges go for?
Roy Jones was so much better than everyone.
All his fights were like watching that irritating mid 90's Man Utd team playing Swindon every week. He was the Roger Federer of Boxing. He could have fought some of those guys on the same night
Oscar De La H' (1468-116-43) 90%
damn.........Oscar is out on his own.
Rees is possibly the champ with the weakest comp that I have ever known. His bout against M'Baye was a random surprise, when he won it was a serious shock. Not only has he faced weak competition, but he should at least be a lightweight if not a super featherweight, dude is what 5'4. Jesus Christ. Fair play to him though. Didn't he have a great amateur pedigree?
I don't want to say negative shit about Wright because he was well out of his depth weight wise, Hops could have powerbombed him. Even then it was close.
If Hops wins it is because he has rewound the clock.
Calzaghe does get hit with straight right hands, this is the only concern.
I'm not as confident a I once was, 80% Calzaghe wins. 20% says Hops lands enough significant right hands so they can hand it to him.
The 'workrate' won't be a factor, is a ridiculous assertion. Of course it is, unless Hops lands more punches than Calzaghe whilst throwing a third of the amount of punches........unlikely.
Sparked_85 what a great American, and boxingscene poster. We need to find out the absolute TRUTH. The truth about what this forum really believes will be the outcome of Calz/Hops. Thank you sir.
lol, thank you sir.
Well I have been to disneyworld twice.
It is the biggest mistake in boxing to fight for too long, I hope he doesn't fall into the trap
yeah, even a guy like Joe Calzaghe who has had at best three geniunely hard fights out of over 40 says he is out after one more fight after Hopkins.
Hatton reckons he has 3 more fights and he is only 28.
Mayweather has beasted pretty much everyone but he'll probably have 2 more fights maximum.
It's the way to do it. Pavlik must be coining it now so he can relax about securing his future with meaningless dangerous bouts. Pavlik is the kind of guy that you can see taking a beating and not getting stopped because he is so tough, obviously that is dangerous.
Southpaw. I write left handed, when I boxed I was a southpaw. Although I can't throw a ball with my left hand, but I can only bowl with my left hand. I'm all fooked up.
Bika tried the roughouse shit on and it didn't wash, Bernard is a better fighter than that, but Joe is no pussy in the hold and hit department either
yeah, Joe likes to fight.
I want to see this fight.
It would be good for boxing too, it would capture the imaginations of casual boxing fans.
It would be the heavyiest Heavyweight title fight ever. Nearly 600 pounds of athlete in there!
I don't want to see him fight chagaev, chagaev beats him again and he is pretty low key and it wouldnt mean much. Wlad might be able to knock him out, what a sight that would be.
Joe is a one of a kind fighter. He has super quick hands and boxs at awkward angles, which is tough. But BHOP is very good verse Southpaws. Something like 8-0 verse them, mainly because BHOPs best punch is a straight right, which southpaws are susseptable too. Thats one of the reasons why I think this will be an interesting fight. Also because we have a slick quick workrate fighter verse an old defensive counter puncher.
I don't think Joe is all work rate. He is essentially a counter puncher too.
Which is why this fight will be a borefest. With Calzaghe winning because he'll jab an old B-hop consistantly and definetively enough to control the fight.
