Why hopkins wil lose to calzaghe lets be honest here

well i stil believe hopkins wil lose to many advantages for joe

With Joes speed advantage he would be the better counter puncher out of the two in this fight. B-hop will have to time his shots to absolute perfection to counterpunch Joe, whereas Joe could use his speed to catch him pretty much everytime. As for the southpaw thing, the best southpaw Hops has ever faced was DLH, (for the sake of arguement it doesnt matter about the size difference) Right now, Joe brings more than DLH did. When B-hop fought DLH he was younger and a little fresher, you can see it in comparison to his more recent fights. Joe brings probably as much as that Oscar did anyway, but Hops is older now and will not be able to live with the speed as well as he could back then. At this stage, right now, the tougher fight, by quite a bit, is Joe. if you knew boxing you would know timing beat speed every time. when did dlh become a soutpaw? i wish we take away points for each dumb comment

I mean i cant stress this enough but joe is one of the most hungrey fighters at the moment thats saying alot for where he lives not saying he was rich but his country sure is. Skills pay the bills my little uninformed mutant friend. Hopkins is not Jeff Lacy. Lacy was one dimensional, bulked up like the incredible hulk. Hopkins is faster but even if he wasn't, speed only kills when you have the brains to use that speed. Hopkins is a masterful technician, Lacy is not. What you should have done is compare Kessler to Hopkins. Now that's more reasonable and even then Hopkins has more dimensions in his fighting style then Kessler does.

I havent seen anybody say that B-hop isnt hungry, but the point being made here is that Calzaghe is more hungry. Argue all you want, a hungry fighter will ALWAYS find a way to win, and only one man in this fight can claim that. Joe is also a very good counter puncher, very underrated in that department, with stamina and speed on his side, he is a better counterpuncher than Hopkins. B-hop may well be the best foghter that Joe has ever faced, but the same logic could also be applied the other way around. How many undefeated world champions who cleaned up their divisions did Hopkins beat, apart from the miniscule Tito? Hopkins has never lost to a southpaw, wow. How many has he fought? 11? Yeah, because Hopkins 11-0 against southpaws impresses me much more than Joes record against orthodox fighters, which I would imagine stands at around 37-0. The age thing is a good point as well. The only man whos style has changed due to age is Hopkins. Yes, Joe is nearly 36, but Hopkins is still 7 years older, and if you're informing us Joe is no spring chicken, please apply the same logic to Bernard. I can see where you are coming from, but sadly I see no other outcome than a Calzaghe UD (not counting any infamous Las Vegas judging bullshit) I don't belive that Joe is a better counter puncher then BHOP. I think most people will agree with me on this. Thats BHOP's style. Its part of Joe's, but not his bread and butter. Reason I brought up the southpaw thing is because ALOT of orthodox fighters have issues with Southpaws. Its usually not the other way around. BHOP has good experience with them, which most of calzaghes old opponents don't.

I don't think anyone is claiming either of them are gonna KO eachother, although we sure hope someone does. Also, you say Joe is so Hungry? Is BHOP not? he's the underdog here. Both fighters have been very good when the pressure is high and gaining/ defending titles are at stake. Also, BHOP is the best fighter Calzaghe has ever faced, is he not? This will be a close fight in my eyes, it will be Joe's activity, how he can land good flush quick shots vs BHOP who is good at defense and counter punching, especially with his right hand verse southpaws. I don't see iether fighter being worn down, both train extremely well. Both are not youngsters either. I know theirs alot talk about bhop being 42, but joe is not to far behind.

my thing is this who says how many punches you are suppose to throw....in my book long as landed thats what counts. i keep thinking everybody is going off the taylor fights where i personal think he could not make weight no more. in the tarver and winky fight he threw way more Very good points. Many US judges seem to favour the fighter with the better command of the ring in close rounds, this was clearly evident in the second Pavlik Taylor fight where Pavlik was going forward, taking some leather doing so and landing a smaller percentage of his punches (although throwing more). Will Bernard be able to show that kind of dominance in the championship rounds as he calls them? On stats, Bernard is the more accurate, but not by a considerable amount, so his defence will have to be immaculate. Bernard is alos a great counterpuncher, but Joe's footwork and handspeed have generally kept him out of that sort of trouble (plus he is pretty good in that department as well) and I don't think Bernard could knock him out (probably the same vice versa). The fight will either be a bloodbath or a borefest, I'm looking forward to it and, baring any ridiculous scoring, I will sing the praises of the winner.

I don't want to say negative shit about Wright because he was well out of his depth weight wise, Hops could have powerbombed him. Even then it was close. If Hops wins it is because he has rewound the clock.
