Don King was the greatest promotor of all times he put the very best shows on for the fans, i could never understand boxing fans calling Don King... he was the only promotor who fans got value-4-money from..some King shows had 5 world title fights for the PPV price of £10 which was unbelievable value... i agree with the comments made so far but Floyd is not a `value-4-money` fighter what i mean by that is, he does not excite the paying viewer, its the same old `snoozer`and i for one do not want to see him fight Pacquiao next because he will have proven nothing by beating a former Light-Flyweight and a former Featherweight in Marquez.. Floyd needs to fight Mosley whom i favour him to beat, and then take on the Pacquiao/Cotto winner.. Mosley even at his advanced age would pose more of a threat than JMM did.. i was impressed by Floyd last night yet at the same time rather disappointed with JMM performance

I picked Lennox because of the massive height and reach advantage, Tyson still has a chance but not so much as Lennox. Tyson fought lots of guys who measured up to Lewis in Height and Reach.. Savarese, Tucker, Green, Scaff, Ribalta, Biggs, Williams, McBride yet none of them was in the same league as Lennox Lewis. IMO this fight could go 2 ways, an early KO for Tyson or a PTS victory for Tyson in a fight similar to Bonecrusher Smith v Tyson, i just dont think Lewis could stand back and fight with a prime Tyson because Tysons hand-speed was `scarey`and would have been a big problem for any fighter in history, who was the best in their prime -- Tyson

Calzaghe`s record is very debatable, his fight with David Starie is IMO the worst ever world title fight to watch... however the name Bernard Hokpins looks very good on Calzaghe`s record simply because BHop went on and defeated Kelly Pavlik... i blame BHop for his defeat to Calzaghe, he had the fight won then fained injury, so the crowd and judges went against him and Calzaghe nicked the win

What will the top 10 boxingstars globally look like today? Pretty difficult because how do you measure stardom? Is it a question of: A: how big a gate you make? B: How big a purse you command? C: How many people know who you are? D: Etc. Plenty of options. I find it impossible to make a list objectively, but from a global perspective with my own undefined subjective criterias, my top 10 boxing stars looks like this: 1: Manny Pacquiao 2: Floyd Mayweather 3: Miguel Cotto 4: Wlad Klitschko 5: Vitali Klitschko 6: Bernard Hopkins 7: Arthur Abraham 8: Kelly Pavlik 9: Mikkel Kessler 10: Lucien Bute Hmm.... looking at it it might be slightly biased towards europeans although I cannot really say who should replace who. Do you? maybe take Bute out and add Haye after his fight with Valuev doing very well on PPV numbers.. even tho there fight was garbage

Roy never fought the #1 guy in his prime... His fault or not his fault... But, I refuse to believe in his prime in 4 different weightclasses that the #1 guy ducked him. That was not the case... And, who did Lennox ducked? Fighters ducked him like Bowe for example... I hope you not talking about the Klitschko's? Cuz he beat Vitaly and then retire what you want him to fight till he was a 100? Yes and that dosent include even beating these fighters when they were undefeated as Harding, Gonzalez, Thomas, and Kelly. I think you can also argue he really was the only person to beat Hopkins in middleweight from 1992-mid 2005 when Taylor got a split decision win. Hopkins only loss prior to Joner jr was at LHW. If you look at JOnes jr his resume and level of competition is quite good. ALMOST any fighter can be said to have ducked 1 or 2 guys. Even my favorite fighter SRL never fought Aaron Pryor. Leonard vs Pryor was never ever mooted, so talk of Leonard ducking Pryor is a myth

Roy Jones will be remembered as one of the greatest fighters of all time, in the same league as Robinson, Leonard, Duran & Ali.. Roy`s skills are there for everyone to see on VHS.. for others to claim any fighter of the last 30yrs was better is laughable, watch Jones beat Toney, Hopkins & Ruiz where he completely dominates them, watch his skills vs Pazienza, McCallum & Johnson or his KO power against, Hill, Griffin, Vaca, Thornton or Woods... all the above held world titles yet was not in the same league as Roy Jones Jr.

yes according to Freddie Roach Manny was weight drained for several years and could eat no food whatso ever for 36hrs before a weigh-in, now Manny can tuck into a breakfast the day of a weigh-in and comfortably make 145lbs... when Manny started his pro career he fought for `Food Money` for him and his family such was their poverty, his family could not afford seats to watch his fights yet for the last 6yrs things have changed due to his remarkable success.. Manny truely is a fantastic fighter and everything this sport needed.

People like Mike Tyson because of his CHARACTER, yea he was good in his prime, but prime lennox always beats tyson, tyson could never get past the jab. Tyson has always had shit stamnia and always got discouraged when he couldn't knock a guy out within 3-4 rounds. Ali had no power and wouldnt be knocked out by all 3, he's not decisioning a modern day 6'7 240 pound heavyweight, hell he got 2 gift decisions vs Norton. Marciano, Dempsey, Louis are too small and would be destroyed rather quickly, those 3 wouldn't even beat an average fighter like David Tua or Razor Ruddock. As I said in years past, if their was magically a heavyweight boxing tournament of the top most known 64 heavyweights all time, college basketball tourney style, Marciao dempsey ali louis wouldn't be the final 4, they might not even get out of the 1st round. Imagine these 1st round match ups. Ibeuchi vs Dempsey, Marciano vs V.Klitchko, Feather Fisted ALI vs Valuev Louis vs Holyfield :nonono:. Ali fought and beat fighters who was murderous punchers, like Frazier, Liston, Lyle, Mac Foster, Cleve Williams, Shavers & Foreman, he beat fighters who could box as good as welterweights like Patterson, Folley, Moore, Young and Quarry, he beat the toughest of the tough in Chuvalo and Bonavena... every single one of the above fighters who Muhammad Ali beat would have been far to much for any version of Lennox Lewis or the Klitschko brothers..... SIZE means nothing
