As far as I can remember I only know Sandy Saddler as the dirtiest boxer ever.Do you know other dirty fighters.
Margarito was not proven as of yet.:boxing:
Mike Tyson's ear biting incident is dirtier than anything that has happened in boxing....
Well besides Louis Resto's gloves:nonono:
Tyson earbiting incident is not considered dirty fighting since it's out of his frustration and rage perhaps.
What I mean by being a dirty fighter is cheating, low blows, elbows, glove lace rubbing etc. TO WIN A FIGHT.
you remember watching Sandy Saddler? and if you were old enough to watch Saddler, your next 'candidate' thru ALL that time is Margarito?
Nah,I used to watch them when was a kid on TV but they're already old boxing shows. And I saw the Sadler/Pep fight.
Poor Willy Pep he was mauled with lace and elbow.
In modern times, you have to mention Barrera. Theres an entire highlight vid of his dirty tactics on youtube. Anyone remember when he headlocked Hamed and beat him off the ringpost?
I'm going to go with Resto. Scum not only ripped out the padding in his gloves he was using plaster of paris.
People like Ward and Bhop I wouldn't consider dirty fighters, more veterans who trod over the line a little bit.
what was the name of that guy that ius notoriously known for rabbit punching people?
....no not carl froch......it was some old timer
Chuck Wepner is 'famed' for that.
Notorious dirty fighters besides those mentioned by Threadstealer is Kid McCoy, Joe Grim and Ad Wolgast.
You can read about some of the tricks here:

Mysterious Billy Smith lost over 10 fights due to DQs.
Sandy Saddler, Battling Nelson, Harry Greb, and Fritzie Zivic are some old-time fighters notorious for being dirty.
Among more recent times, Andrew Golota, Eusebio Pedroza, Freddie Norwood, Mike Tyson, Joel Casamayor, and Bernard Hopkins are all pretty dirty.
Golota bit Samson Po'uha, low-blowed Riddick Bowe repeatedly, blatantly headbutted Donnell Nicholson, and had that foulfest with John Ruiz (another guy who likes to bend the rules). People often cry about fouls and dirty tactics (such as the recent Ward-Kessler fight). I rarely do, because I've seen so many fights and come to expect that fighters will bend the rules and have their illegal tactics they use. Even I think that Pedroza should've been DQ'd against Juan Laporte. He hit him low repeatedly, elbowed him numerous times, hit him in the back, etc...Early in the fight the ref warned him for low blows. His next move right after the warning? A shot to the thigh. Late in the fight, he gets warned for forearms/elbows. It only took about 10 seconds for him to throw another blatant elbow to LaPorte's face.
Somehow, Freddie Norwood was not DQ'd when he fought Derrick Gainer. This was not subtle like some of the stuff Roberto Duran did, or the "intentional accidental headbutt" used by Evander Holyfield. He all but picked Gainer up and threw him down, hit him in the kidneys and groin numerous times, but Paul Sita was real incompetent as the ref this night. Fortunately, Gainer got the win, by the strangest of circumstances. He hit Norwood twice in the groin as Sita was pulling Norwood off of him (after more of Norwood's low blows). For some reason, Sita gave Norwood a 20 count, and Norwood "made no attempt to get up", so Gainer won.
Tyson earlier in his career started off with the more traditional elbows/forearms, and hits after the bell, but raised his foul game to new heights after prison. Biting Holyfield twice, apparently biting Kevin McBride as well, headbutting McBride and Golota, twisting the arms of Botha and Holyfield.
Agapito Sanchez didnt made your list?
Andrew Golata should get a mention in terms of modern times.
Mysterious Billy Smith was also a dirty lil' bastard. He fought a guy named Tommy Ryan and at one point is reported to have flipped him onto the ropes and then hit him several times on the back. He had 15 draws, and 11 were due to disqualifications.
Fritzie Zivic was alsoa dirty fighter but was so damn popular that he was never DQed in his 300 or so fight career.
Daiki Kameda gets an honorable mention, particularly for the Naito fight.

I forgot about Terry Norris.
It was hard to get him to stop punching you. The bell rings and the ref is between the two fighters, the opponent hitting the ground, the target being the back of your head....Norris still wanted to hit you regardless.
