Ready for some laughs? I AM. Let's take a look at the bulk of one All Time Great Joe Calzaghe's prime years. This is between his legit fight with Chris Eubank(1997) and nearly 10 years later Jeff Lacy (2006) who by all accounts is a bum but at the time was an undefeated contender that was someone that Joe should have fought. I'm going to comment on some of these but in reality all of these could easily have funny comments next to them:
2006-03-04 168 Jeff Lacy (Bum/Never was)
2005-09-10 Evans Ashira
2005-05-07 Mario Veit (notable because it took place in Germany)
2004-10-22 Kabary Salem (notable because it took place in Scotland which technically is another country lol. Also Calzaghe went down in round 4 and was headbutting intentionally and penalized for it.
2004-02-21 Mger Mkrtchyan (Great name. Who the ****? Also notable for being held in an ice rink in Wales).
2003-06-28 Byron Mitchell (Calzaghe down in the 2nd)
2002-12-14 Tocker Pudwill
2002-08-17 Miguel Angel Jimenez
2002-04-20 Charles Brewer
2001-10-13 Will McIntyre (Notable for Denmark)
2001-04-28 Mario Veit
2000-12-16 Richie Woodhall
2000-08-12 Omar Sheika
2000-01-29 David Starie
1999-06-05 Rick Thornberry
1999-02-13 Robin Reid (Many people think he LOST this fight. Regardless it was a close fight)
1998-04-25 Juan Carlos Gimenez Ferreyra (Ice Rink hahahaha)
1998-01-24 Branko Sobot
1997-10-11 Chris Eubank (Weight drained, past his prime)
------------------------------------
I Did NOT make this list up folks. Note Calzaghe's Age when he fought Eubank all the way up through Jeff Lacy. Amazing.
Calzaghe's best win was about a 117-111 or 116-112 win over Kessler, who just lost every single round to a green fighter just staring to come into his own. Says it all.
Good fighter but weak resume.
Exactly. Tunney can never escape this FACT. No matter what his racist ideology tells him.

He didn't really have much of a career to ruin, but sure.

You're just a pathetic hater. Here's some red karma.
Everybody give this bitch red, we can turn him red because his karma power is only 1. :)
And you're a racist who loves the KKK. No big deal. The problem is just with you not being man enough to come out and admit it.
Pathetic really that "red karma" is all you have in your simple pathetic life. Never fought before have you? Of course. You are in all likelyhood a fat pussy that ducks everytime a real fight breaks out (most likely stemming from your racial rhetoric).
Go ahead and get your band of homos to "red karma". In the end, not being a racist loser online is good enough for me.
PS. You're too much of a pussy to even attempt to answer the original question about his record in the thread head on aren't you?
thread starter keeps trying il give him that
he keeps failing horribly, but atleast hes trying
You have yet to respond to any point I have made other than "failing" and "getting owned". By who? You?
You just claimed anyone that criticizes Joe is a racist. Do you realize how retarded you are? Nevermind the moronic "red karma" that you sent with that lovely personal message. Guess the truth about Joe's average career hurts your little feelings.
i see where your coming from but i think your just hating a bit too much,in joes defence he wanted a prime jones and other good amercian fighters but he wasnt big enough draw back then to get the fights so all he could do was keep fighting and winning till he got bigger in the game.would he of beat a prime jones or toney,i dont think so but its not his fault he wasnt big enough draw back then,i remember 90 percent of amercians hyping up lacy to smash joe but he got taken out in style and finished his career.you could argue b hop was finished but joe still beat him and then bhop went on to beat pavlik.i think you need to let it go,he hasnt got the greatest record against elite boxers but he beat everyone he could fight, there was no one left in his eara
Fair enough. But why do Joe fans always bring up "he wanted Jones"?
I posted this question a while back on this thread but it got deflected, ducked and avoided by the usual Joe Goons:
If Joe really wanted to fight Roy Jones in Jones' prime, why is what he did so different than what ANTONIO TARVER did to get a fight with Jones?
In other words compare the two. You and other Joe fans say he wanted Jones. Why? Because he said so? Well Tarver said so and DID something about it. A lot of somethings and got his fight.
Food for thought.

Calzaghe should have moved up to 200 and KOed Cunningham in 2. Maybe then he would have got some credit.
THIS IS A GUY THAT BEAT VEIT TWICE. NOT ONCE. BUT TWICE AND STILL HE GETS NO CREDIT.
You guys sicken me.
 yea right!!!!

Calzaghe has heard about you thread and claims that he wants to fight you after you get off the school bus this afternoon too!! :boxing:
They are racist, so there is no reason to say it.
Hang on, I put Floyd top 30 ATG, say his 135 and below career is unquestionable and you have to go to 10 on my ATG list before you find a white guy and even then he's south American not european and because i question Floyds resume at 140+ i'm racist?
fcuk that shit.
Nah just his fans. He's a good fighter.. Very good. comes across like a douchebag sometimes.
so do a lot of boxers.
compared to the worst culprits he isn't bad at all.
