Well looking at their records, I think Cotto definitely has more experience, and more KO's than Clottey. I think he is the favored in this fight, but the dilemma with his uncle might get in the way of his focus.
I don't necessarily think he is the fastest or strongest hitter out there, but he does box smart. I noticed in almost every fight he usually doesn't start throwing that many punches until he sees that his opponent is tired, then he starts pouring it on. However, he has never come across heavy and fast hitters and Pacquiao is at his peak right now. So I don't know which way it will go if they fight, it's not out of the question that Pacquiao could win. Mayweather was even beat a couple of times in his amateur career.
Damn that's a tough one, I think Cotto is pretty damn good. His style is like smooth, slow, and calm, with hard fast hits. Don't know who is the best but Cotto for sure is good, Pacquiao, I believe is probably at his peak at this point.
hey you never know... i honestly think cotto is a solid fighter, strong and not easily put down. manny is good, but i just think that his size could be a factor and that he's not as solid as cotto is, but who knows.
Ok so lets say Mayweather beats Marquez, he still has to worry about Pacquiao and other fighters who are definitely going to want a shot, and these fighters aren't push overs, Marquez nor Pacquiao nor Cotto
Pac and Cotto would still sell like crazy man! I think people are more willing to buy if they know that the fight is going to last a good while. Problem with boxing nowadays is that everyone is scared to pay and then the match ends in like 2 Rounds.
What I can't understand is why Mayweather is all over WWE, just after he was supposedly injured and had to call off the fight with Marquez. Anyone got any ideas?
Cotto is probably going to win it. He actually has more riding on this fight since it is the Puerto Rican Day Parade time of the year! He is probably pumped up and knows he has to represent. Clottey is a good guy and a good fighter but I think he is a little nervous to fight at Madison Square with a fighter like Cotto, his nerves will probably get the best him.
