Paul Williams should be ranked over him if he beats Kelly Pavlik, because that is a bigger victory than one over a former Flyweight.
give me a break will ya. Do you really believe that mor are you just tryin to wind pac fans up? Me im a boxing fan, and for anyone to think a victory over a guy who truly came up short at top level is better that a win over the best fighter in the sport just makes no sense at all!!! even if he is fighting at the highest weight hes ever been. :boxing::boxing:
around the top 5
Mosley climb from out of the top 10 to 4 after beating the number 6 guy Margarito. So Cotto is number 8 right now and a win over the 1 guy would put him from 1-3 so it would top 3 not top 5.

That is true... If Cotto beats Pac and May beats Marquez then the standings should be 1. Mayweather 2. Cotto and Pac and JMM should be ranked 3 and 4 going off of their performances...

You got to be one big hater or you must be smoking some bad shit.
Good question...personally I don't think Pacman is number one (he's been outboxed twice by Marquez imo) but public opinion has him there.I guess that would put him as numero uno? I hope he wins (wouldn't bet on it right now) so we can get this impostor of a welterweight out of the division and get the fight(s) I wanna see.
Ok so lets say Mayweather beats Marquez, he still has to worry about Pacquiao and other fighters who are definitely going to want a shot, and these fighters aren't push overs, Marquez nor Pacquiao nor Cotto
redundant thread...
Cotto climbs to number 2.. While the winner of Marquez-Mayweather goes up to number1.
I agree! tho a lot of people will be thinkin the opposite!
Top 5 for sure, Top 3 maybe. He won't jump to number 1. He needs another win over a big name, like Margarito, Mosley, or Mayweather. Beating the P4P number 1 doesn't always make you number one.
