I still don't see how it's respectful to call people out to come do your sport. None of these mma people have the stamina to go 12 rounds in boxing. Who cares if you can beat somebody in what you do best. all of these mma people are supposed to cover boxing. And I bet they get an actual boxer to teach them how it works. Go to an mma gym to train in boxing and watch a boxer from a boxing gym haul your ass. I've seen this over and over in life.
Khan is shaming boxing by simply chasing money. If he was serious about any of this, he'd address why he wouldn't fight kell brook, a legit champ that lives in his neighborhood or why he refused to avenge the Garcia match up. He only wants to fight Floyd so he can get $10M without legitimately earning it.
Since when does Floyd give his opponents $10 million?
:bs2:
Floyd doesn't offer a huge payday, Canelo got $5 million
Khan would have got $2 million and truth be told Khan would have fought Floyd for free, he was that confident he could beat Floyd
Pacman and Canelo offer a bigger payday than Floyd, so miss me with that payday argument
$5M guaranteed. If I can recall, he took home $7-9M...his biggest payday. And you know damn well he wouldn't have done it for free. He was calling to fight Floyd wayyyy before it even looked like he was eligible and likely could have if he didn't lose overlooking Garcia and turning in **** performances after. He could have rematched madania and it would have been a better look. But sitting and watching for the better part of 3 years this guy beg when he had done **** at 147 is laughable to dismiss. Give me one good reason why he wouldn't fight Brook, arguably the biggest fight in the UK
Manny's going to hell because he continuously uses the lord's image to perpetuate his own agenda. Hems been doing that **** for years. Jinkee is at home crying with him in the other room banging three hookers and buboy. Have another round and put $100 on black. Oh but wait, homosex is a sin so we must pray. I can't get down with this blantant hypocrisy. PAC da juice man is going to burn harder than pot stickers left on over night.
It's because there is an entire generation of boxing fans and upcoming fighters who heard Floyd Mayweather use this kind of talk as a selling point and will buy into it.
Problem is too many fans and fighters don't understand how Floyd Mayweather got to the top of the sport or how he stayed there.
This hits it on the head. I know a lot of folks accuse Floyd of this or that but Floyd also had to grind to the top until he was able to call all of the shots. These guys need hallway supervisors to walk them to the bathroom this early in the game....smh
If manny was the fighter certain people hyped him up to be then he'd be close to Floyd's but I think Floyd has always had a more impressive resume and end result for a career. But Manny screwed up by listening to Arum. I don't know what the past 4 years was for his career but it went way down hill.
My personal opinion is that it had a lot to do with everything after Cotto. Manny physically changed and it just didn't look like the guy who was running circles around Oscar just a a few years before. Alex Ariza is now an important figure in boxing as far as Manny's legacy is concerned.
If you notice, it's always boxers being called out by mma fighters to do mma. One time I'd like to see these **** talkers rave about getting in a boxing ring. Talk about beating someone at their game, not your own.
After the fight, pac cried about a fake shoulder injury. He lost his ATG status to me after that. Ran from a fight for years, did nothing in that fight, then blame it on some mess from a long time ago because he got schooled in that fight. By an almost 40 year old man. I never thought it was up for debate.
Maybe, he sure as hell didn't seem like he was in any kind of urgency. He was teeing off on mayweather at one point and just stopped for some reason. But mayweather clinching every 5 seconds didn't help matters much either.
but roach and pac were supposed to have trained for like they say he just fought. does the blame then shift to roach?
No version of Pacquiao beats Mayweather. Why? Because the reasons Manny lost yesterday are the same reasons he would always lose:
1.He doesn't know how to cut off the ring
2.He doesn't know how to close the distance against a counter puncher effectively
3.He can't adjust when his first or second plan of attack isn't working.
Styles make fights and Floyd has the perfect style to beat Manny.
pretty much...
I agree pac should have been WAY more aggressive. He said it was a torn rotator cuff, maybe that's why he wasn't throwing as much. But I don't care what anybody says it's HARD to catch someone who is just running around the ring and grabbing you every chance he gets. The retards here will call that "masterful boxing." But I know better its bull ****. Floyd can take his win and jam it up his azz.
so floyd had a plan that they could never defend or defeat? and funny how manny says he started feeling the pain in the 3rd. while the 4th was his best round.
I feel like Maidana was in his prime after beating Broner and facing Floyd in the first. He was rendered completely useless in part 2...I feel he was hella green when facing Morales. It's like an early career type of thing. khan got it in but I feel Maidana won that fight. Alexander took his soul tho...
If it's not $40M, how will Bob Arum retire? I think that old **** will be out of there after pac gets knocked off. He wouldn't want to deal with Floyd's backlash of 10 years worth of laughter coming down at once. I don't think Floyd hates many people. Bobby A is definitely one of them.
People need to stop assuming Floyd has a flaw in his logic and will crumble at the sight of failure. He has never come close because he's never panicked in a fight. He can break his hand and still win on points. Why would you ever in your life think Floyd would quit and bet on it now when the man has never shown a flaw like that?
