Like almost everyone, I had Mayweather clearly winning watching live.
Admittedly I had consumed lots of alcohol May 2nd and half asleep after watching Leo Santa Cruz vs. Vegas Limo Driver.
I thought Mayweather won even though I didn't score the fight live, because he controlled the range and pace of the fight. Perception doesn't always match reality.
However, I DVR'd the replay and scored the fight round by round and had Pacquiao winning 114-113.
Watching closely, in slow motion, with the biased announcing off while sober and listening to ONE DAY by UGK...I had it 6 rounds to 5 with 1 even in favor of Mayweather. Scoring the 4th 10-8 for Pacquiao and deducting a point from Mayweather for clinching and pushing down on Pacquiao's head.
Close but clear win for Pacquiao.
Rewatch the fight in slow motion, ignore the biased commentary, give Pacquiao a10-8 round and deduct a point from Mayweather and you will come to the same conclusion.
Interesting thread.
When I rewatched in slow motion Pacquiao certainly landed more straight left hands than I thought when I watched the fight live.

I had it 8-4 live. With replay 7-5, Floyd. Floyd won the championship rounds so I have to give it to him. He finished strong and actually dominated the 11th the most.
Watching the replay, I had the 3rd for manny so I changed my score from 8-4 to 7-5. I think that the punch at the end of the 3rd (my sig) was one of his best in the fight but Floyd has a phenomenal chin and conditioning.
Here's another heavy left from manny, meant KO, in the 7th that was hard to see live but landed hard. The view doesn't show where it landed but it did, as you don't see manny's hand overshooting and floyd staggers forward for a split second. Floyd took it really well and his recovery is insane.

This part of your post is very similar to my own situation. I thought it was closer than generally stated on replay, no one wanted to give pac credit for a round unless he threw a good 'ol manny combo when you don't need to do that to win a round. So it looked slightly closer when I tried to be objective, but no way you could have Manny winning. Even a draw I just cannot see. By not winning rds 11 and 12 Manny critically gave up any chance of the fight being viewed as debatable. And I agree that there were some close-ish rounds that you could have given Manny IF he had thrown more punches in those rounds.
7-5,8-4 and 9-3 cards seem plausible. I don't think the 10-2 card rendered was reasonable but thats just me.
OP is buggin hard. He hasn't let the butthurt flow through properly like most of us pac fans have.
People look at ****ing compubox way too much, who initiated the clinches, who was running the most. Floyd wouldn't be undefeated if he fought in the old days, he's a Vegas only fighter anyway. So of course no matter how lackluster the performance is the decision will follow the money
I'm watching it in such slow motion I started at 2pm today and I'm still in the first round with 30 sec left. Sorry can't score it just yet Fucen lame ass pac fans
i said slo mo.
not pause, my nig.
It's amazing that after years of racist trolls, crazy alts spawning into boxing sites like roaches just to talk ****, the derogatory names thrown out about Floyd and his fans.....that even now.....when you watch how the fight looks better and better as you watch it....how Pac fans still can't let this one go. Floyd made an iron chin boxer too afraid to fight. Amazing how people still give him no credit.
them ling lings and chow meins are so racist, brah.
lets listen to picture me rollin by shakur.
I rewatched the fight too. I closed my eyes for the entire fight and scored it for Manny.
best way to score it for manny. close the eyes and listen to 'twas a good day by cube.

Can't see giving manny 5 rounds either. 4 tops.
Two further comments... It's nice Floyd wants to patch things up with his father and all but he is clearly more of a mascot than anything. At one point he chided Floyd for not throwing a hook yet, and he had just thrown several.
This network bias thing I keep hearing about doesn't make sense. Manny is hbo's guy. Lampley and Roy had every reason to laud PAC with praise every chance they got to sway public opinion. Problem is, Manny was giving them very little to laud. Additionally, Bernstein is an old boxing sage and not too terribly biased despite being a Showtime guy.

What I take from the fight is that Floyd is one tough SOB. He took heavy punches but he took them well and didn't get rattled. I don't see any WW beating him, maybe even at 154. I think he win a wider UD if they do a rematch. What impressed me about manny was that he was able to counter Floyd. Bashers call him a one dimensional brawler but even floyd called him a very intelligent fighter.
Overall, they sayings "a great bigger fighter beats a great smaller fighter" and "good defense beats good offense" hold true in this case.
I kinda agree about Lampley and Roy, they seem to be biased towards Floyd. But, in hindsight, Manny's lands were hard to spot when watching live. Floyd dictated the pace, so it's easier to give the rounds to him. Most of the guys in my place were complaining that Manny wasn't doing anything which seemed correct because everyone is used to a tazmanian devil manny. Floyd imposed his style and manny felt that he can beat floyd at his own game, which was obviously a bad idea.

No way Pac won that fight. 3 rounds. 4 tops
Yeah it was close enough that you can give t to Pac....
BUT
we ALL KNOW what's the situation is.
Pac needs to win 7 ROUNDS CLEARLY to be able to win on the cards.
Floyd was the A side in ALL fvkin aspects that you can think of. Gambling outfit loses a lot if the plan gets derailed.
and team Pac accepted all of it. Its a legitimate loss. but most if not all greats wont take that embarrassing route Floyd took. hugging and running away from a much smaller fighter.
Basically I stopped scoring after the injury occurred, but I made sure I gave Manny enough time to catch up a little.
My final score after 6: 57-57 Draw
