Which one deserves to be protected and preserved above and beyond all:
Pacquiao's, or any civilian's, right to free speech..
Or
The hurt feelings of gay people ?
Bearing in mind, gays can only express their dismay about Pacquiao's comments because they have the right to free speech too. A right they seem to be aiming to take away from Pacquiao through the recent attacks on his otherwise good character.
While I disagree with Pacquiao calling gays "animals" in the context he used it, he does have the right to express his opinion. He is unfortunately a bible-basher and religions cause people to adopt all sorts of strange, unusual and irrational beliefs.
But, put in another context, we are all animals since we are descended from primates. Of course Pac didn't mean it that way, but there's a possible get out clause I'll give to him if he desires to use it, on the proviso of course that he agrees to fight Khan next.
Pacquiao is wrong about the animal kingdom not having examples of gays. Just one example among many is that it's known there are gay and lesbian dolphins, to the point that the lesbian dolphins have developed a specialized mating call which are directed specifically to other females exclusively. Strange but true.
But, I digress..
What's more important - preserving Pacquiao's right to free speech or protecting the delicate sensibilities of gays and lesbians?
Another topic I got property with front ocean side view in Reno if your interested - PM me.
Ah ****it. I give up. You're entitled to your weltbild.
OK then, how much for that Reno beachfront?:D
LOL, He's not arrested or in jail. That is all free speech means to me.
You can exercise your right to say what you want, but with that you have to take the repercussions of it too. If you say something that might just offend people, then those people also maintain the right to respond.
Bingo. That's all it really means.
Pac has a right to free speech. People have a right to speak out against that speech.
Nike have the right to drop him if they dont think he fits their brand.
Bob Arum has the right to speak out against Pac if he wants to clarify that Mannys views dont represent his own.
Exactly this. Free speech is for everyone. Not only the offender or offended.

"jesus also said whoever is without sin should cast the first stone. didn't he? sounds like good advice for a hypocrite."
you might as well look yourself back in the mirror....calling anybody a hypocrite is what? not casting the first stone? peachy!
and you contradict yourself; let me repeat you...
"disregard it in favor of the new one, because "jesus and stuff".
"jesus also said whoever is without sin should cast the first stone. didn't he?
seems like very selective stuff from you...
no offense meant, but just being raised is very different from being indoctrinated...isn't it?
Brother it comes down to this:
When Jesus was being questioned in an attempt to trap him he broke down the essence of Christianity, he encapsulated the entirety of the Old Testament with this.
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Naturally I am assuming everyone understands encapsulation???
wow! i wish i could have post that...

So you get my point. PAC is the same guy he was. Floyd is an opportunist acting like he cares about gumps.
See, I am criticized by my sisters, and a few others, because I like playing the field. Now that I am older, my kill ratio goes down, but I step into the batter's box regularly. I am enjoying my time on this rock. Other people try to bring me down.. Why do you like women so much... Etc... Etc. why do you like boxing so much, when you hated that dad made you box.
The LGBT, community need to understand that not everyone is gonna agree with your life choices. LGBT, they need to do what they want to do. Stop trying to make or shame people into believing what you believe. Enjoy their limited time on this rock. Don't trip on what PAC says or believes. What PAC believe's is what he believes.
I would rather see PAC destroy Margarito, than a yusef Mack barely win.
Why?? Mack has never been that good. His gay stuff matters to him, not to me. I was happy for him that he came out the closet and lived his life his way.
This has nothing to do with political correctness. F Nike!
Btw, Nike hires shoe manufactures globally and doesn't give a crap about conditions. I know a lot about Nike, I bought over runs of Jordan's and made money. F Nike.
PAC has belief's that hurt some peoples feelings.
Yet, PAC is free to think what he thinks. Believe what he believe's.
But if he vocalizes his thoughts out loud, feelings get hurt.
He took a position based on his belief's in his God, as he understands him.
People ridicule people who believe things that they do not agree with.
Nike had a right to drop him.
Feelings are too easily hurt. His words triggered a lot of emotions.
Emotions are dangerous things. Make people do stupid things.
wow! i wish i could have post that...

It's funny because someone like Trump can go on TV and threaten to ban all muslims, insults a whole community (Mexicans) and receives very little backlash. Pacquaio seems to be far more under fire for saying what he said.
And they're not very vocal either on Iran, Yemen, Saudi, etc. where they can't do their **** acts.
Just want to share :boxing:

Manny is free to say whatever biblical bullshyt he wants. Nike is free to drop his dumb azz if they want. That has nothing to do with free speech. Nobody's tossing little Manny in jail.
Yes. The only correct position. This is NOT a "free speech" issue.
Manny is free to say whatever biblical bullshyt he wants. Nike is free to drop his dumb azz if they want. That has nothing to do with free speech. Nobody's tossing little Manny in jail.
Pretty much this. This isn't really a free speech issue.
-----
As far as what the TS is getting at - yes, freedom of speech must include the freedom to offend.
Manny is free to say whatever biblical bullshyt he wants. Nike is free to drop his dumb azz if they want. That has nothing to do with free speech.
Well said. I agree with you.

I'm looking at the man in the mirror...
I korn too many women...
I am laughing that there are so many betas and deltas!
Life is good my friend. Going to a love hotel tonight.
I was living on a coed floor in the dorms. Bathrooms were coed. Showers coed.
I liked the shower part, but hated it when a cute girl in the stall next to me was taking a stinky fvcking man dump.
Grunting, farting, sucked.
I think everyone has rights.
:lol1:..........
The past.
I don't approve of Mayweather's actions or history but I dislike the acceptance of silencing people. The far left is sneaky in the sense that they target people who are disliked, knowing that people are more concerned with the end result than the precedent set.
It's easy for the common man to overlook attacks on the right to free speech when the individual affected is someone they don't like. What they don't realise is that they will one day be on the receiving end.
It's not a case of spinning things. As time progresses, people on the far left are becoming authoritarians. It's happening because they shrewdly target individuals like Mayweather, people who aren't liked.
It's not something I would expect you to understand because you are the type of fool they rely on.
what exactly does the bold means mr. not fool?
i agree with you, i will never understand people who support people who beats women up.
if for not understanding that, makes someone a fool, then so be it.

You won't understand because they have created an environment where defending the right to free speech is synonymous with supporting whatever scum bag they choose to focus on. However that shouldn't be the case; people should realise that the sanctity of such rights is separate from the individual relying on said rights.
The present.
kindergarten insult does not work for me.
what LGBT is doing lobbying for Pac's endorsement deals to be cut off and restaurants and hotels banning him will result to Pac not speaking anymore about his opinion towards LGBT.
he said something about LGBT exercising his right to free speech quoting bibles verses when he fought Bradley the first time.
the backlash was not this much then so he exercise his right to free speech again.
i am right when i said Pac's right to free speech is infringed after the thiis recent backlash if Pac never said anything about LGBT from now on.
and you can only say you were right if for some reason Pac said something again against LGBT from now on.
see the logic?
i am not embarassed to answer oall your inquiries, but i made some conditions.
fulfill that condition and you will have your answer.
by the way how can i confirm what you said was true you went to college at age 11?
I went to college at age 5 with my uncle, what's your point. LOL
level of education IQ seems obvious now.
Funnily enough, they're not actually infringing on Pacquiao's right to free speech, but it seems as though you get the message now.
It's really sad that most on this site dont have the basic understanding of what freedom of speech is. It actually explains a lot of the ignorance that goes on around here though. Im not gonna give out any definitions. But kudos to those who tried explaining to the more mentally impaired around here.
