Hard to tell, kid is well rounded throws brutal combination but it is sparring not fighting. That kid is super strong, he hits hard and I think that even in a real fight Pac would respect his power. Those body punches were bothering him. Something for those looking to find Pac's weak spots, body punching, he holds his hands high and that left hook to the body is a nice solid spot to focus.

His speed, chin, fluidity, reactions, stamina, and power were all better especially by weight at 135. PBF nearly got ktfo with old Shane imagine what Shane would have done at his best weight with more stamina. PBF would have had a ton of trouble with the 135 pound Mosley. You need to stop making statements if you didn't see him fight at that weight which based on your statement you never did. In fact other then Sweet Pea and Duran I don't think anyone can say they will get the nod over that Mosley definitely. I would even say both of those guys would have trouble.

I disagree, I think Mosley's best weight was LW where he was undefeated with 32 wins and 30 KOs one of the best 135 pound fighters ever. I'd be hard pressed to find anyone in history that wouldn't have a problem beating Shane at 135. I am not saying some of the greats wouldn't beat him but that they would all have trouble and there most definitely would be some losers. One of the most athletic fighters ever at that weight with a huge arsenal of offensive weapons. He was ferocious, and he has one of the best chins ever as well, he has been in with some big boys and his chin held up. Shane was mean at 135 and I think he would own some greats. Other than that I am good with it.

I always forget about Sweet Pea, man that guy was amazing at light weight, defensively the only fighter who is in his realm is PBF. I wonder how that would have went, Sweet Pea was just so good at making everyone look bad. We all know Mosley couldn't KO Pea and Mosley has a hard time with good defensive fighters but he was far more fluent in light weight.

I am on board with him getting the pay day but I don't want to see old Mosley get beat up, I like the guy and though I don't think he will be hurt against Pac he just doesn't have the stamina he once did. That said if he touches Pac with that right that landed on PBF fight is over, Pac would be down and out. Just because Pac got stronger doesn't mean he couldn't be dropped by a guy who is a puncher with speed and the ability to connect.

5 years isnt a major difference. Mosley wasnt shot, He is still elite Are you kidding me? 5 years isn't a major difference? That's insane. Think of PBFs reactions at 28 vs. 33, there is a noticeable difference just there. Now think of the accelerated difference between 33 and 38. While I agree that Mosley isn't completely shot and can beat a lot of top welter weights he is no longer elite. He hasn't been for 7-8 years. That said, that also says a lot about Mosley that he is not longer elite but can still beat a lot of the top welter weights. Fact is 38 isn't 33, there is a huge difference in decline in your physical gifts and in boxing you don't win championships with bad physical gifts. It is a good win but it is by no means a great win. I respect PBF for how he won the fight.

Man, PBF is just made to box. He was trained from age 4 on. Hard to beat someone who has 29 boxing years under his belt. Everything is natural. His defense is nearly impenetrable, because it requires so little movement and easy access to the straight right and left hook on counter punching. His natural gifts of speed, reflexes, and pop do well. He adjust so well. His counter punching ability is like nothing I have seen as far as how natural and easy it is for him. If Manny comes jumping in he will be on his butt from a check left hook to the head. The straight right is open all day as JMM proved. Manny is easy to counter punch as he is a rythmic fighter. I was watching this video where Floyd discussed how he didn't like to keep rhythm because he didn't like to be predictable. The more I thought about the more I realized how difficult it is to solve Floyd, he is consistently doing things when you don't expect them. He will throw left hooks knowing you'll block it when you run it to his straight right. I hope that Pacman wins but I find it hard to believe that he does. Pac will get countered early and be tentative like every other opponent then he will become mentally broke down when he is very scared to throw punches and getting hit at unexpected times clean as Manny has a very open defense. JMM is not as technical or athletically gifted with power and speed. His defense isn't as good, JMM won in a lot of our eyes. What do you think a more special fighter in terms of all around skills and ability will do to Pac if JMM did that to Pac. Pac is solid but he won't get to PBF like Mosley did. He doesn't hit as hard. Pac is like a fully automatic 9 MM, it takes a lot to take down an opponent but he is still lethal. The question is do you think sloppy Pac is going to be able to hit PBF who has one of the more amazing defenses of boxing in the last decade. PBF KOs Pac around round 9.

This is so ridiculous, PBF is terrible for the sport. When he does PPV fights people swear off buying them. PBF may be skilled and may have a mouth, but any real boxing fan hears the announcers say there are plenty of good fighters who PBF can fight. I mean seriously running from Baldomir? His performance against old DLH was at best terrible, some people still had Mayweather losing that because he ran. I heard a upper middle class black man say that ****er ran the whole time he deserved to lose, and his whole family felt that way. He has a very boring style and because of that he doesn't help boxing. People fell into UFC because they brawl more. We need more Gatti-Ward style fights. We need more wars not technical fights. Ali went to war, where do you think the rope a dope came from? Mayweather is just another liar who makes promises he isn't willing to keep. I know Pac has improve a lot since his last loss to Erik, but their is in no way that Pacquio is chopped liver at that point in time, he was already three time world champion in three weight class with two of them lineal championship and he went 1-1-1 versus the tres Amigos .... IMHO p4p speaking that version of pacquio could hold his own against the odlh that mosley beat ... That DLH would have KO'd Pacman with no issue. DLH was very good, his left hook would have caused serious problems. His speed was very deceptive and he just had power in both hands. Pacman has a lot of problems with a well calibrated left hook, JMM. Straight rights also helped which DLH had a solid pop with. DLH at 130 would have ate pacman alive, no questions asked.

Morales losses to Pacman were far and away past his prime, unfair to judge him based on those losses. Especially since he beat Pacman past his prime. I still have Morales taking the first 2 of the MAB trilogy(didn't even look like he tried in the third) so I really don't see to many negatives on Morales resume. Raheem was when he was past his prime and I still think he deserved the nod over Diaz(even past his prime). If Morales would have been the boxer puncher we all know he could be he would have had a much longer career but he wouldn't have received the love he gets now.

Last time I remember, Slappy beat Headbuttkins. Was there really a winner in that fight? They both looked like garbage. Hopkins is the better overall fighter.

If I fought Floyd I would never leave my corner, phuk chasing him around the ring, I would stand in the corner and wave him over. I would make him come fight me, Mosley is fast enough and hits hard enough as well as having a size advantage that Mayweather would have to be very careful trying to potshot. I don't understand why no one else does that. Mayweather runs why not make him look like the b1tch he is and stand in the corner while he avoids trying to fight you. Mosley is fast enough to counter Mayweather if he has to come to him, however if Mosley is trying to counter while he is aggressive it could be mean pot shotting. Everyone asks how he Mosley can win, he needs to make it a fight that is the easiest way I think it will happen, Mosley comes to him and we all know Mosley has a serious beard.

PBF impressed the hell out of me. I eat crow. Taste terrible but if this is the new PBF I can show him respect. He fought very well, I don't think it would have been that easy with Mosley five years ago but he fought there and did his job. Very very impressed with PBF. He fought tonight.

Being talented and being great are two different things. Talented is Floyd, Great is MAB who fought everyone. Morales who fought everyone. Lewis who fought everyone. DLH who fought everyone. Mosley who fought everyone. Hopkins who fought everyone. Trinidad who fought everyone. Tszyu who fought everyone. Holyfield who fought everyone. JMM who fought everyone. Pacman who fights everyone. All fighters of his generation. Floyd avoided everyone who was a contender at ww and that is the problem. Beating a past prime Gatti or a overrated Hatton isn't impressive. Baldomir, Judah, are you kidding me? Floyd stopped fighting great fighters at 135. Cotto, P-Will, Marg, Mosley, he could have left no question marks behind instead he fights a past prime Mosley. Do I think he would have beat all of those fighters? Yup, but he didn't which puts his greatness in question. Part of fulfilling Greatness is fighting everyone, leaving no question marks behind. If you are comparing SRL and Mayweather's resume and give any love to Mayweather's resume at 147 you are not a very well educated boxing fan.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on the bolded because imo, Hopkins is far dirtier now than back then. I also disagree about Hopkins skills not being at their best until around the Tito fight. I personally think Hopkins hit his prime around 97-98. His prime ended after the Joppy fight in 03 imo. I think that his finest performance was Tito. Broke him down and took his heart from him. He just wasn't as fast, I didn't say he was past his prime after it I was merely pointing that that was the highest point of his prime. He probably was in his prime to that point but I was pointing out how much more rough he use to be. He was super dirty, now he is more tactical with his dirty style.

Sr. is a crack head with boxing knowledge. He is not a good trainer because he doesn't take his job seriously, he gets paid far to much for him to not be great. He doesn't train fighters that well, training is part of breaking bad habits, making a better fighter out of someone, he gets a fighter and uses the skills they already have not develop more of them.

Barrera was the man, but Morales was and is my favorite fighter of all time. I still have him winning the first two fights against Barrera. He gave away his last against Barrera. I only have to say that MAB got out thrown by 200 punches in the first one, though MAB got the better of a lot of exchanges Morales was the more active fighter and the champion, MAB didn't take the belt from him, it was given to him. Morales is my favorite fighter but I am young so it is unfair for me to give him love. Morales fought for the fans, he could have easily boxed his way to several easy wins but brought it for the fans, hell the 12th round of the Pac-Morales 1 fight shows his love for the fans. If Morales was in his prime he would have punked Pac straight up, he was past it even in his first fight. I also think he deserved the nod in his championship bout at 130 against Diaz, that was BS.

Yeah excuses will be made, nothing else needs to be said. Mayweather made excuses for wearing a gladiator outfit against Baldomir trying to justify his performance. Mayweather isn't a fighter, we should never call Mayweather's matches fights, only boxing matches.

I still think that Mosley should stand in the corner and wave him over. Make Mayweather come to you and just wait for Mayweather to do something, and just keep taunting him till he will do something. Mayweather's power will likely be unbothersome to Mosley can't say the opposite. Make Mayweather come to you by taunting him and telling him he is no gladiator, bla bla bla, basically make him fight more offensively by not following him around.

Yeah using the Cotto fight as an example of Mosley NOT getting stronger isn't a good idea :lol1: Seriously, Mosley trains at 8000 ft altitude, stamina hasn't been a problem for SSM for a long time, when he was at 135 it could have been because he was so weight drained but he KO'd everyone there. At 154 he wasn't a dynamo in stamina but he was no slouch it was a bit bigger then he ever should have been. Mosley gets a lot stronger through out the fight.

I vote Hopkins. Regardless of his dirty tactics (which is something he uses excessively now because of his degraded physical attributes but not so much in his prime), He showed great overall boxing ability. He could fight coming forward and on the backfoot, off the ropes or on the inside. He was a great body puncher, his jab was very good when he used it as was his left hook and his right hand was a deadly accurate shot especially when he lead with it. His footwork has always been great plus his defense and he also had great stamina in his prime days. Calzaghe could box as well as come forward, but he tended to simply overwhelm his opponents with pure workrate and speed. I disagree his tactics were far dirtier when he was young. I remember watching him in an interview and he was sitting there saying I am a champion and I will do anything I have to to win. Headbutt, clinch, low blow, etc. This is a man's sport, you do what you have to to win. It was something along that line. He is a far better boxer now then when he was young. He was a boxer puncher when he was young, but had more of a aggressive brawler style, hence the Executioner. If not he would have been called the Executer. His boxing skills weren't refined till a few fights before Tito. Where he had his finest performance.

What's your point. Calzaghe still won. Calzaghe clearly beat Hopkins in the end of that fight. Clearly? Landing less punches is clearly winning? I don't think either fighter deserved a win, in fact if I could I would have given them both a L for there performance. Cal is a fighter that fought everyone after their prime, B-Hop was a far better fighter through out his prime and even after it. Cal would rather retire then fight him again what does that say?

actually it's well documented that Shane ducked Floyd. But thanks for playing, you got owned. Please show the link for that? I know they were going to fight at 135 but Mosley chose the harder challenger in a prime DLH skipping a weight division. That said it is one of my dream match ups if they were going to fight at 135. I wish Mosley would have fought some of those 140 pounders(KT, Corley, Gatti, etc.) to would have been interesting but DLH was the biggest name, one of the biggest threats, and the most money. It also catapulted him to stardom.
